An inquiry into the post-war European aesthetic and political landscape should take the international organization Unesco?s colour reproductions and travelling exhibitions of paintings into consideration. In these, the organization implements André Malraux? idea of the ?imaginary museum? as a framework for a future cosmopolitical, aesthetic (and utopian) community. During the late 1940?s, the Swedish government also discusses the need for raising an ?aesthetic awareness? amongst their citizens as a consequence to a poor knowledge in the fine arts.

The thesis provides with the broad overview about the consumer awareness of the gender dimension within brand personalities. The research contributes to branding theory and gender studies and demonstrates that consumer gender influences does not influence the perceived brand personality gender. This study is based on interviews with four youths that have been treated for problems such as drugabuse and criminality. The aim of this master´s thesis is to examine the youths experiences with the treatment they received, but also to examine how they look upon their own lifesituations. The study is presented in categories developed through the use of Grounded theory. The result points out that the treatment can be summarized mainly in two aspects- one concerning care and one concerning control. The first aspect includes supportive and friendly staff while control in this context stands for rules and supervision of different kinds.

This paper aims to examine how and to what extent, a transition of Sweden according to the principles of Omställning Sverige (Transition towns Sweden), have the potential to contribute to a society with increased happiness.The paper is based on a qualitative textual analysis of the key texts in the Swedish Transition towns movement, Omställning Sverige. In the first part of the study the most important transition principles of Omställning Sverige were identified. Four key principles emerged: An altered view of economics, a spiritual change, a stronger local community and increased awareness. These transition principles were then analyzed through the lens of the scientific fields position on happiness, followed by a summarizing conclusion.The altered view of economics which Omställning Sverige advocates, where sustainability and quality of life are priorities over economic growth, is even necessary to secure our basic physiological needs. Such an economy has also improved conditions for economic stability, high employment and higher efficiency in the sense of happiness promoted in relationship to how many natural resources are used.

This study aims to highlight the activities and needs of students in order to explain how mobile services can provide support and facilitate students on a daily basis. The empirical data is based on discussions with a focus group combined with already existing research concerning the areas of mobile service development, contextual-awareness and ubiquitous computing. The results from the focus group show that students have a need for mobile services to help and support them in their ordinary tasks and activities. Syftet med studien var att öka kunskaperna om och förståelsen för de äldre anhörigvårdarnas situation genom att låta dem berätta om sin situation ur egen synvinkel för de äldre anhörigvårdarna, 75 år eller äldre, som vårdar sin maka / make.Metoden som användes för att samla information var semistrukturerad intervju. Intervjutexterna analyserades med manifest innehållsanalys och med separat analys av de underliggande känslouttryck som framkom i intervjun.Resultatet visar att dessa äldre anhörigvårdares situation innefattar många dagliga stressorer. Deras sömn blir störd av vårdtagaren, de har aldrig en lugn stund utan de har beredskap dygnet runt, deras avlastningstid i samband med inköp är otillräcklig och skapar stress, möjligheterna till dagavlastning för egen tid är obefintlig, de blir isolerade, de är oroade därför att back-up saknas som kan ta över om deras egen hälsa sviker, färdtjänstlagen ger inget stöd för besvär som uppkommer vid normalt åldrande, de önskar en universalkontakt, så kallad hjälpkontakt för äldre vid kommunen samt saknar känslan av förståelse från kommunen om de konsekvenser det innebär att bli äldre oavsett hälsotillstånd.Slutsatsen är att det behövs mer forskning inom området för att vi skall kunna hjälpa dessa äldre anhörigvårdare till en värdigare tillvaro..

Public WiFi networks is one of the dominant technologies for users to get public internet access. The problem is that the networks are designed for accessability rather than security ? a problem users seldom are aware of. Users who carelessly access WiFi networks may reveal sensitive information which, among other things, can lead to an identity theft. Previous research suggests that users must be educated and informed about the risks they incur, but not how this should be done.

Our purpose with this essay was to explore students? experiences of interdisciplinary working method in thematic form. With a starting point from Lpf-94, the curriculum for the upper secondary school and several theories of learning, we wanted to explore if interdisciplinary working method in practice could create an environment for a meaningful learning situation. The study took place in an upper secondary school class, study preparatory, third grade, who works interdisciplinary in thematic form. Our study was qualitative and we used an open structural questionnaire where the students confidentially were able to describe the working method, explain which subjects that participate in the work, and bring forward good respectively bad factors about the method.
