Bakgrund: Amputation innebär att en kroppsdel eller en del av ett organ kirurgiskt avlägsnas. I Sverige utförs årligen cirka 3500 amputationer. De vanligaste orsakerna är kärlsjukdom, trauma, tumörer eller utvecklingsrubbning. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa hur personer med amputerade extremiteter upplever sitt dagliga liv. Metod: En litteraturstudie som består av tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Sökningarna genomfördes i databaserna CINAHL, PubMED och PsycINFO. Kvalitetsbedömning genomfördes med en granskningsmall för kvalitativa artiklar. Resultat: De amputerade upplevde förlorad självständighet och negativ förändring i deras kroppsbild.

Denna studie syftar till att belysa hur erfarna psykoterapeuter ser på kreativitet och kreativa processer i psykoterapi samt vilka erfarenheter de har av den psykoterapeutiska relationens betydelse för kreativiteten. Studien baseras på kvalitativ deskriptiv forskningsmetod med fenomenologisk och hermeneutiskt perspektiv. Resultatetet framtogs genom en strukturell fenomenologisk analys av åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer. I studien framkommer att flexibilitet och öppenhet i att bemöta klienter utifrån ett personligt och samtidigt professionellt sätt bidrar till att ett kreativt klimat kan skapas. Vidare betydelsefullt för en kreativ terapisituation är att en tillitsfull relation skapas mellan klienten och psykoterapeuten.

The aim of this essay is to make clear, whether or not, textile research is visualised in a wider archaeological discussion today. The aim is then to discuss what the archaeological and textile technological research situation in Scandinavia looks like today, and how that relate to what has happened in these two research fields during the years. This essay also has a purpose to find out if there is a need of visualising textile research more in future archaeology, how that shall be done, and what that can possibly supply to our general picture of the prehistory.The head questions are discussed in the light of three investigations. The first is a study of literature used in archaeological education at five Swedish universities. The other two consists of a study which is aimed to find out how textile research results are published, and one in which archaeologists and textile researchers have answered questions about how they experience the relation between archaeology and textile research.There has also been done a comparison between interpretations of the archaeological material from the site of Löddeköpinge in west Scania.

This Masters thesis is made as the first of two visitor surveys of three urban forest areas. These areas are; Skutan recreational area in Haninge, Ugglevikskällan on Norra Djurgården in Stockholm and the Paradiset Reserve in Huddinge. The study is made in cooperation with the managers of the three areas operating within the European Union Life Project regarding Urban Woods for People. The goal has been to collect data through studies of visitors and close by residents in the three areas. The results are to be used as primary values for the follow-up as well as a basis for managerial decisions. The interviews and surveys are also constructed in a fashion so that they can be used for the follow-up study. For the Skutan recreational area the mode of contact was by sending forms to the nearby residential areas.

The number of young women who self-mutilate in different ways has increased dramatically in recent years. Self-mutilation is a way of trying to feel better for the moment. People who self-mutilate often have some other underlying illness such as borderline disease. Women are overrepresented in this group of people and their behaviour is often rooted in a history of childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and psychic maltreatment. The aim of this study is to reveal thoughts about the future among young women who self-mutilate.

The ancient site of Skårby, situated about twenty kilometres south of Stockholm, includes one very large cairn enclosured by a stone wall with a small cairn attached to it. Through this thesis, we want to discuss how the marginalization of people, several precedent political, city planning- and engineering decisions resulted in a catastrophic outcome after hurricane Katrina in New Orleans 2005. We also put forward a case study of the Make It Right Foundation, to demonstrate how the residents of the Lower Ninth Ward are involved in the urban development of their community. We would like to draw attention to the power of citizens and how they can influence the urban development of a community after a trauma. This study also focuses on the mission of The Make It Right Foundation: which is to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward with firm concepts on sustainable development where all dimensions are accounted: ecological, social, cultural and economic. Wheat yield depends on the number of ears per m2, the number of kernels per ear and the kernel weight. By knowing the ability of different cultivars to compensate for the different yield components and knowing which yield component that is the most important for the final yield, the farmer can match the cultivar and management to the location. The objective of the study was to investigate how the yield components of winter wheat vary depending on genotype, environment, sowing density and date of sowing.Seven varieties were grown in four locations in Sweden with three different sowing densities and with an early and a late sowing date. On each experimental site, the surviving plants after winter were counted, as well as the number of shoots at early and late spring and the number of ears. Ten ears from each site were cut at three different occasions, starting from the time of blooming, with 200 day degrees between each cut.

När ett barn brännskadas upplever föräldrarna kaos och som sjukvårdspersonal måste omvårdnaden fokuseras på två patienter, barnet och föräldrarna. Bemötandet av föräldrar i kris är avgörande för hur den traumatiska händelsen bearbetas. Litteraturstudiens syfte är att beskriva föräldrars reaktioner när deras barn utsatts för en traumatisk händelse, i form av brännskada. Resultatet visar att när ett barn brännskadas utsätts föräldrarna för akuta stressreaktioner och ett flertal psykiska påfrestningar. Oavsett om föräldrarna varit närvarande vid traumat upplever de skuldkänslor gentemot sitt barn.
