This essay about the ?self? shows the reader the difference between describing a transcendent and immanent phenomenon and if it´s possible to become or to not become ourselves. The process is a key of the ?self? which Kierkegaard explains the ?self? in and for it-self.

Fördjupning i skadestatistik inom sjöfarten : En analys av anmälda arbetsolyckor 2011 ? 2013 utförd på uppdrag av Sjöfartens Arbetsmiljönämnd

Syftet med denna studie var att analysera anmälda arbetsolyckor inom sjöfarten utefter frekvens och konsekvens och således kunna dra slutsatser om vilka arbetsolyckor som är allvarligast. Studiens syfte var också att finna eventuella samband mellan dessa olyckor. Efter kontakt med Sjöfartens arbetsmiljönämnd beställdes statistik från Arbetsmiljöverket. Denna statistik bearbetades på olika vis, bland annat genom att stora avgränsningar gjordes gällande typ av befattning ombord. Efter att ha studerat hur förutsättningarna för anmälan av arbetsskada förändrats valdes relevanta år.

Copingstrategier hos personer som varit sjukskrivna mellan 3 och 6 månader

Bakgrund: Personer med muskuloskeletala och psykiska diagnoser står för 57 % av sjukskrivningarna i Västerås. Majoriteten av dessa är kvinnor. Det har blivit vanligare att man, vid rehabilitering, förutom personens fysiska funktion även beaktar psykiska aspekter, så som copingstrategier. Syfte: Att kartlägga de mest förekommande copingstrategierna hos personer som varit sjukskrivna mellan 3 och 6 månader och att undersöka eventuella skillnader i copingstrategier mellan män och kvinnor samt mellan personer med psykiska och muskuloskeletala besvär. Metod: En enkätbaserad deskriptiv tvärsnittsstudie genomfördes.

Arbetsmiljöansvar vid uthyrning av personal

As the staffing agency business is rapidly growing and suffering from accidents resulting in higher sick leave than in other businesses, it is of great interest to analyze which responsibilities prevail between the customer companies and the staffing agencies, when it comes to working environment for hired staff.The purpose of this essay is to clarify the distribution of responsibilities between customer companies and staffing agencies, regarding working environment. I would also like to analyze which consequences this distribution of responsibilities may lead to.To be able to answer these questions, I have chosen to use the legal dogmatic method together with the sociology of law method. I have studied legal sources, literature and also interviewed three persons who are active within the staffing agency business; one person from the Swedish Work Environment Authority, one person from the employers? side and one person from the employees? side.The conclusion of my survey is that the SAM-responsibility is divided equally between staffing agencies and customer companies, since the customer company who hires staff is equated with an employer. The employer must also ensure that there is an organized work adaptation and rehabilitation function within the company.

Lyftteknikens betydelse för personalens hälsotillstånd i äldrevården

Hälften av personalen inom äldrevården uppger att de dagligen lyfter tungt vilket kan geskador i rygg, skuldra och nacke som kan leda till arbetsskada alternativt sjukskrivning.Durewall-systemet och Stockholmstekniken är de vanligaste lyfttekniksmetoderna iSverige. På undersökningsplatsen användes Stockholmstekniken. Rapportens syfte är attidentifiera faktorer som associeras med sjukskrivning på grund av smärtupplevelse vidlyftmoment i arbetet inom äldrevården, beskriva eventuella smärtupplevelser vid lyft avboende samt undersöka om eventuell information om lyftteknik är effektivt förebyggandemot upplevd smärta vid lyft av boende. Då undersköterskor återfinns längst ner i svensksjukvårds hierarkiskala har yrkesgruppen svårt att påverka. Studien genomfördes på ettboende i Västsverige med enkäter och omfattade 18 undersköterskor.

The core process is responsible for internal business development and is the process that runs through the organization and the results which creates a value for the customer. Some research suggests that identification of the client's conscious or unconscious needs clarifying the so-called core process in the organization and operations can thus be more effective. The study aims to identify and analyze the experience of the core process within child health care. The method has been interviews with nine managers and 10 clinic nurses in a county. The results show a lack of knowledge regarding core process and process work.

Serum Amyloid A as a possible marker of health and disease in non-domesticated mammals : a retrospective pilot study of SAA levels in dolphins, elephants and tapirs at Kolmården Wildlife Park

The veterinary handling of wildlife, both in zoos and in the wild, commonly requires that the patients need to be captured and immobilized for examination or treatment. This emphasises the need for quick, on-site, laboratory equipment, in order to minimize the analysis time and thus the stress for the animal and also in order to increase the possibility of starting relevant treatment early on. The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether Serum Amyloid A (SAA) could be a measured in blood samples from bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and South American tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). SAA rises to its maximum about 24 hours after the introduction of an inflammatory agent in companion animals. This also correlates with the estimated time it takes for animals at Kolmården Wildlife Park to be examined and having blood samples collected after being observed as sick. The study also evaluated whether the Eurolyser SOLO, using a turbidometric immunoassay (TIA) developed for human diagnostics, could be used for such analysis. This pilot study was a retrospective analysis of SAA in convenience sampled frozen serum, collected from dolphins, elephants and tapirs.

Upp eller ut? Ut tack!: En studie om frivillig personalomsättning på managementkonsultfirmor

The purpose of this thesis is to understand the reasons to why management consultants choose to leave their positions at large and established management consultant companies. The empirical data are made up of eleven interviews with men and women, both management consultants that have left their previous positions as well as a consultant who has chosen to stay with her first company and a representative from one of the large companies active within the management consultant industry. We have used the Job Embeddedness Theory combined with theories about identity, legitimacy, institutional norms and gender in order to understand the thoughts and reasoning behind the management consultants´ resignation. We have found that issues with the work itself and characteristics of the industry prevent the management consultants from being embedded within the management consultant company. Rather, some of the characteristics of the industry such as ?up or out? and the need to constantly perform work as a ?pushing-out mechanism?.

Kvinnors syn på ohälsa inom en mansdominerande industri

Syftet i studien var att få en djupare förståelse för hur kvinnor som arbetar inom en mansdominerande industri förhåller sig till ohälsa. I bakgrunden presenteras kvinnor och mäns position i samhället samt hur kvinnlig sjukskrivning ser ut på ett nationellt och internationellt plan. Hur normer och synen på kvinnor ser ut och påverkas på en arbetsplats som domineras av män. Studier visar att kvinnor står för procentuellt högst antal sjukfrånvarodagar och att bidragande orsaker till detta kan vara biologiska skillnader.  Uppsatsen bygger på en kvalitativ ansats där sex intervjuer har använts som metod, detta för att få den djupa förståelse som studien annars hade kunnat gå miste om ifall andra metoder använts. Resultatet visade tydligt att majoriteten av de undersökta kvinnorna hade svårt att beskriva sina åsikter kring företaget.

Anknytningsmönster, copingstilar och stress inom relationsintensiva yrken : En kvantitativ studie rörande sambanden mellan anknytningsmönster, copingstilar och arbetsrelaterad stress

There has been a dramatic increase in long-term sick leave in Sweden, which largely depends on occupational stress. Occupational stress applies particularly in relationship-intensive jobs, which means that the individual works with a lot of contact or responsibility for other people. Research has shown that attachment is relevant to the choice of coping style and perception of stress in the workplace. The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationships between attachment patterns, coping styles and occupational stress in relationship-intensive jobs and to extend previous studies by adding the variables age, work experience and education in relation to coping styles and occupational stress. The study was in quantitative form in which 186 participants from various relationship-intensive jobs across Sweden participated.

Telefonrådgivning och sjukskrivningar : - en fokusgruppsstudie med sjuksköterskor på vårdcentral

När en person söker en första kontakt med hälso- och sjukvården sker det oftast via ett telefonsamtal till vårdcentralen. Vid telefonsamtalet, som tas emot av en sjuksköterska, bedöms och åtgärdas vårdsökarens ärende. Sjukskrivningar är ett av många ärenden som hanteras. De senaste åren har hanteringen av sjukskrivningar i Svensk hälso- och sjukvård förändrats vilket har orsakat en minskning av antalet sjukskrivningar. Sjuksköterskor har i varierande grad deltagit i denna utveckling och denna studie vill synliggöra sjuksköterskans deltagande i vården av sjukskrivna på vårdcentralen.Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av telefonrådgivning på vårdcentralen och speciellt hantering av sjukskrivningar.

Introduction: Today caring for newborn, sick babies or premature infants is in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). There is an opportunity in NICUs for advanced critical care and skilled nursing care of the child, conducted by health professionals in an active partnership with parents. To encourage parental participation in the care of their children parents are offered accommodation in a family room in the NICU. Objective: The aim is to describe parents' experience to stay in a family room in the NICU when their child is cared for there. Method: This is a research plan for a qualitative study with an inductive, descriptive approach.

Palliativ vård för barn : Stöd och tröst till det svårt sjuka barnet och dess familj

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to highlight what is perceived as- and what is not perceived as- supportive and comforting, by the sick child in palliative care, and by its family. Method: Systematic literature review in which only scientific articles from the years 2001-2010 have been included. Analysis: A method inspired by qualitative content analysis was used. Results: The analysis revealed five categories of what the sick child and its family experienced as supportive and comforting - and what was perceived negatively - in the context of palliative care for children. The results showed that it was very important to have competent, dedicated and compassionate staff that not only care for the child but also see to the whole family.
