In this essay I trace the historical theme in Djuna Barnes?s Nightwood, stressing the importance of the concept of forgetfulness in the text. Read alongside Nietzsche?s On the Use and Abuse of History for Life as well as his later thoughts on genealogy, the novel can be seen to concern itself with that same dilemma of history that he articulates in his philosophy. That is: how not to be overburdened by historical knowledge to the point where it petrifies life and prevents any real and novel action, and how at the same time, to make oneself conscious of ones own historicity, so as not to be governed to much by the past.I argue that Robin inhabits what Nietzsche would call the unhistorical state, whereas the other characters, in contrast, struggle with their relation to the past.

The main goal with the master thesis has been to do a status evaluation of the chain machinery with its start chain and wire to secure the production on a short basis due to that a reconstruction is not planned at this time. An evaluation of the condition of the start chain and the rollers in the chain depository has been done. The production has been able to go on, although it has arisen some problems which have been difficult to find the causes for. The purpose is to see if they can learn from each other and how they define the term leadership.Method: Interviews were chosen as a method in this study. Six individual interviews were performed and there were three leaders from the business industry and three leaders from the world of sport participating in the study.

This is a study of Eyvind Johnson?s novel Stad i ljus from 1928, first published in French as Lettre recommandée, 1927. The purpose has been to prove that motives, themes and narrative techniques characteristic to Johnson?s later writings is present as early as in this novel from the twenties. In the novel as well as in the contemporary short stories Johnson starts to explore the symbiosis between living, traveling and writing and begins to use metafictionality as a method to approach autobiographical material.

Syftet är att se om terminologin är enhetlig för om den är enhetlig, så når man lättare ut med sitt budskap. Genom att sålla ut klimattermerna från Naturvårdsverkets webbplats har begreppen fastställts och terminologin analyserats med hjälp av fackexperter och terminologisk metod. Nybildning av klimattermer innebär ofta sammansättningar med ordet klimat. Vissa termer används konsekvent medan andra förklaras på olika sätt i en och samma text. Klimat är en term som är tydligt och klart definierad och används konsekvent i texten.

Few rectory gardens are today remaining in their former design and the cultural heritage that they represent are disappearing. Since 1987-88 the parishes are no longer bound to keep housing for their priests, which means that they, for economical reasons, are starting to sell their rectories. With this in mind, a group of people, growing up in rectories in Småland and Öland between the 1930th and 1950th, formed an interest group to save the memory of their rectory gardens. On the basis of their memories, they have written a couple of descriptions of the rectories, which describe the gardens content, design and the life they once lived there. With this compilation of the 14 rectory gardens I want to keep the memory of them and create a ground for future work in this field. Historically the rectory gardens played an important roll as patterns and examples in the countryside.
