En ny bild av islam?
Denna uppsats fokuserar på hur bilden av islam och muslimer visas i läroböcker från 2001 och framåt. Syftet med uppsatsen är att se om de samhälleliga förändringarna efter attentatet mot World Trade Center 2001 har påverkat läromedlen. Undersökningen görs på läroböcker skrivna efter 2001 i ämnet religionskunskap. Läroböckerna är på gymnasienivå. Uppsatsens teoretiska utgångspunkt är Edward Saids teori om orientalism.
Från militärområde till stadspuls : Stadsdel Norr - en (nästan) vit fläck på Östersunds stadskarta
How can former military area I5 in Östersund, Sweden, evolve into Stadsdel Norr ("The Northern Quarter") ? an attractive part of the town center? In a theoretical part of the essay the significants of well functioning towns and streets are investigated. The history of Östersund and I5 is shortly reviewed. Present recommendations concerning city design are presented along with guidelines from Vägverket (National Road Administration) for urban streets. The conclusion reached is that a fundamental structure of streets and roads, public and private spaces, is crucial for the possible future development of an area.
Vård på behandlingshem : -manipulation eller frigörelse?
In this study have I examined how treatment of girls with neuropsychological impairments is functioning? I have looked at the theories and methods of treatment on the base of the care program and how it is put into practice. In addition I have interviewed four girls who have undergone the treatment program.To gain perspective on institutional care as a social phenomenon, I have tried to give a brief historical retrospect in which particular care for women are described. I am also affecting certain gender aspects of institutional care. I have also tried to make a brief account of current research on the treatment.The study is a qualitative study in which I am apart from literature studies used participant observation in depth interviews as a method.My results indicate that a well structured treatment with CBT approach can work well to achieve lasting behavioural changes in students..

The purpose of this essay is to analyze and understand which difficulties that e-company's struggles with the most, and what their strategies are to overcome this problem. Sales of clothing through e-commerce have made the shopping experience faster and more comfortable, but on the other hand it has created a couple of problems which makes a big difference in the purchase of clothing, we are partly talking about the absence of the testing opportunity. To not know whether or not the shirt or pants will fit, leads customers to a game of gamble every single time they purchase a garment. Another problem which makes customers nervous before a purchase is the absence of a physical salesperson. This might lead customers to question whether or not the company exists.

Customers' growing demands for higher quality and easier access to services means that companies must recognize the need to satisfy each customer. It is important that each customer receives the attention required and that customer needs are met quickly and flawlessly.
Social interaktion : -en kvalitativ studie om vägledning mot arbetslivet
Using a qualitative research method to get the empiricism for analysis, we have analyzed advisors and job seekers experience of management meetings at the job center in Halmstad. We used a semi-structured interview form when we collected the empiricism from four advisors, four job seekers and one complementary actor in the form of a job coach, with a hermeneutic approach to interpreting the informants? subjective experience. We also chose to analyze our results using theories by Asplund, Von Wright, Mead, Scheff, Barth and MalténsThe results presented have shown that time is what they all described as lacking. It was found that the job seekers had a reasonable degree of common experience in both the management meetings and the working role of the advisors, while the advisors themselves were divided on how their role would be applied.

Stormwater from trafficked areas often contains high pollution levels. In traditional stormwater management design, stormwater is first transported away through piped networks, and then in most cases passes through oil separators before finally reaching the recipients. While this traditional method removes certain pollutants from the stormwater, it does not reduce the total flow, as in the case of ecological stormwater management. In the ecological method the stormwater is not simply transported away, but is recirculated through infiltration, percolation, and detention. The aim of this study is to investigate possible advantages of ecological management designs, in contrast to traditional management.

Den ständiga förändringen i den externa miljön påverkar företagen i hög grad i dagsläget och det är därför av yttersta vikt att de anpassar sina interna resurser så att de kan vara konkurrenskraftiga. Många företag upplever idag ett problem med att hitta ett effektivt verktyg för att styra den interna utvecklingen och att identifiera sin interna kompetens. Syftet med denna uppsats var att öka förståelsen för hur ett företag analyserar den interna kompetens de innehar. För att få en djupare insikt i hur ett identifieringsarbete går till, valde vi att undersöka ett företag med en kvalitativ studie. Vår undersökning visade att den metod som företaget främst använde sig av vid identifieringsarbetet var utvecklingssamtal.
Aroma Theory: Scenting the Attitude
The thesis examines the relationship between consumer attitudes and a scented shopping environment. A relationship and phenomena concerning scent marketing, which could be seen as one of the more provocative forms of marketing since the human sense of smell, is connected to the limbic system where motivation and attitudes are created. The use of scent marketing has, so far, been proven effective in sales increasing whereas it is one of the less explored forms of marketing.The purpose of the thesis is to answer the following question: Is it possible to find differences in consumer attitudes in a scented buying environment compared to a nonscented buying environment, and thereby create new basis for segmentation?The thesis is based on a quantitative study where data has been gathered in a scent manipulated buying environment through structured interviews with consumers. The thesis applies a deductive approach to the main theories in the area of interest.The findings suggest new theory discussing that it is difficult to use consumer attitudes, towards a scented store environment, as a foundation for market segmentation.
Tevereklam riktad till kvinnor och män
Syftet med denna uppsats var att studera hur tevereklam till kvinnor och till män kan beskrivas. Vi ville uppnå syftet genom att undersöka hur ett företag arbetar med att utforma tevereklam till kvinnor och män: vilka mål samt fördelar och nackdelar de har med tevereklam, hur tevereklam utformas, hur traditionella könsroller eventuellt påverkar utformningen samt om lagar och egenåtgärder har någon påverkan på innehållet i tevereklam. För att uppnå detta syfte gjorde vi en fallstudie på RoxxEmotion Film & Television, ett mindre företag som är en del av Roxx Communication Group AB. Vi utförde en telefonintervju med en av de två personer som ansvarar för tevereklamfilm på företaget. Slutsatser från denna fallstudie visar att det är vanligt att rikta tevereklam till ett visst kön men att tillvägagångssätt vid utformning av tevereklam samt mål, fördelar och nackdelar med tevereklam är lika för reklam till både kvinnor och män.

This thesis project explores technologies that enable people to experience the world through animals' senses in order to spark interest in and awareness about the marine environment and its inhabitants. The project is carried out as part of a planned ocean themed science center. The purpose is to explore how a greater understanding of the marine environment can be achieved using interactive technologies. The thesis is based on a theoretical framework consisting of academic works on experience, learning
in a museum context and sensory perception.
Our proposed designs are a series of, primarily, wearable devices that translate sensory experiences and principles from the marine world to humans.

This master thesis is the documented work of the construction process and testing of a three hour laboratory session in mathematics aimed at high school level students. The purpose of the thesis was to create an interesting laboratory session for the science education center ?The House of Science? that could be used as a part of their regular program directed to schools. The thesis explores the possibilities for how one can construct a laboratory session on the topic ?molecular symmetry? as well as the underlying pedagogical theories used to describe learning processes in creative contexts.
Betalningssätt via webben : En studie om konsumenters ansedda kunskap angående olika betalningssätt via webben och deras säkerhet
The e-commerce in Sweden has increased each year for the past several years, but still just over half of all the consumers feels worry about payment security. This could be the reason why over half of the consumers just shopped about one time on the Internet during the whole year of 2009. Another reason could be that the many consumers have a lack of trust to the different payment methods that are available during payment on the Internet, because they might don't possess enough knowledge regarding the payment methods and their security. If the consumers were to gain more knowledge about the payment methods and their security, it may lead to that the they would feel more comfortable when shopping online, and do it more frequently. It is this that will be investigated in this paper.The purpose of the paper is to research if consumers believed knowledge concerning the different payment methods available on the web and their security influence the consumers trust in the payment methods.
Career choice:The relationship between personality, state anxiety and the career decidedness among Swedish upper secondary school students
The main purpose of this study was to inquire into personality and the state anxiety in relation to career decidedness scale among students in upper secondary school. The participants were 124 students in three grades and respectively non vocationally oriented classes. The participants were asked to grade themselves on a scale in relation to the statements regarding, state of decidedness for career choice, personality (NEO FFI, Costa & McCrae, 1985. Sweden, Gerontologic Center) and anxiety (AnTI, Wells, 1994). The results showed no significant relationship between personality and state of anxiety that could be connected to the decidedness for career choice.
