By the same time as the recent enlargement of the European Union, where Poland became a member, it was officially stated that the gender mainstreaming-policy was to be integrated into every area of EU. NGO:s working as entrepreneurs for the gender mainstreaming norm in Poland supported the accession largely because they believed it would help spreading the norm also on a national level. Qualitatively analyzing the Polish case and the difficulties gender mainstreaming as a norm candidate meets with I contrast expectations with what could actually be EU:s role in this matter.Arguing that EU is a context with room for spreading norms by both bargaining and socialization, this paper takes a social constructivist approach. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vilka som får representera de tyskspråkiga ländernas befolkning i några läromedel i tyska. Undersökningen fokuserar på hur aspekterna etnisk tillhörighet, funktionshinder, kön, religion och sexuell läggning skildras i läroböckerna. Arbetet ger en översikt av tidigare forskning, främst rörande läromedelsanalys, med inriktning på de valda aspekterna. Med hjälp av textanalys har jag undersökt fyra olika läroböcker i tyska för grundskolan. Sammanfattningsvis förekommer få skildringar av personer med annan etnisk tillhörighet än tysk i de granskade läroböckerna, ingen med annan sexuell läggning än heterosexuell, endast en funktionshindrad och religion förekommer mycket sparsamt.

This thesis is based on qualitative text analyses of four works of fiction, used as teaching materials in the school subject of Swedish, from a queer theoretic perspective. The purpose of the study is to examine how sexual identities and expressions are being presented, as well as what positions are offered a reader, in relation to the heterosexual norm. Basis for this thesis are the schools fundamental values, which highlights the importance that intolerance be confronted through both knowledge and active measures, and the syllabus, which states that fiction should be viewed as a tool for identity development as well as an understanding of the outside world.The analyses reveals a distinct connection between the generally accepted heterosexual norm and a professed (or taken for granted) heterosexuality which is being carried out by the characters or the books as a whole. Out of the four titles only one disputes this norm, by offering a wide range of sexual identities and expressions. These expressions, however, are being invalidated ? through insufficient ability to relate to the norm ? or made invisible ? through an imagined heterosexuality which, by superiority over other expressions, excludes them..

Analysis of the piece Pygmalion in set at the Gothenburg City Theatrefrom a gender perspective with the purpose to investigate which genders that arepresented and how the piece relates to the heterosexual norm. The method consists inthe analysis and discussion of how the pieces portrays females and males (with focuson feminine and masculine coded expression and presentation of desire) and whatconsequences it brings. This based on various method books of norm-breaking designwork for Aesthetic staff, and a theory based on Judith Butler's research. Det är känt att dessa patienter har minskad sexuell lust, sexuell frekvens, sexuell tillfredsställelse och ökad förekomst av sexuell dysfunktion. Sexualiteten hos patienter med medfödd hjärtsjukdom skulle kunna vara lika påverkad. Det holistiska synsättet präglar sjuksköterskans omvårdnadsarbete, vilket inkluderar den sexuella hälsan. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur samlevnad och sexualitet påverkas hos personer med hjärtsjukdom samt hur sjuksköterskan kan skapa dialog kring dessa frågor. Litteraturstudie var den metod som tillämpades.

In Nuclear family as status Dennis Wijk examines if and how the nuclear family ideals and norms permeates family law secretaries work with families. The aim of the study is to investigate if the nuclear family has the status of ideals and norms in the family law secretaries practice. In order to achieve the aim of conducted four interviews with family law secretaries in Stockholm city. The interviews have been the main data collection. Theoretical concepts which are central in the study are: the nuclear family, institution, ideals, standards, and established and outsiders.

The study is divided into three parts ? the development of wage labour towards becoming the dominant norm in society, how this norm is challenged in a specific geographical context, and lastly a study of two unemployed individuals and their everyday activities, what and especially why certain behaviour occurs. The main purpose with the text is to study unemployed people in a specific geographical context in a overall society where wage labour is thought to be the norm. Questions that is being asked is how the unemployed individual works in a society where wage labour is the dominant activity for the day. This is connected to a study of Möllevången, a district of Malmö, where the wage labour norm can be thought of as being challenged.

Relationen mellan sexualitet och andlighet har länge varit ett tabubelagt ämne inom såväl psykologin som i samhället i stort. Enligt aktuell forskning finns det dock anledning att trotsa denna motvilja. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om oandliga och andliga individer samt män och kvinnor skiljer sig åt vad gäller sexuell tillfredsställelse och sexuella behov samt effekten av mindfulness. Studien utfördes genom en delvis egenkonstruerad webbenkät för att mäta sexuell tillfredsställelse, andlighet och sexuella behov. Studien omfattade 213 deltagare varav 105 andliga, 76 män och 117 utövare av mindfulnessbaserade aktiviteter.

Queen Kristina of Sweden (1626-1689) was in many ways an interesting, fascinating but also a very complicated woman, who has been studied widely by historians and other scholars throughout the years. However, there are few people who have considered the queens attitude towards the male norm which characterize Sweden, and most of Europe, during the seventeenth century.My purpose with this essay is therefore to apply the historian and gender expert Yvonne Hirdman´s theory about the gender system and the hierarchical order, where the male is the norm and representative of what is considered to be normal in the society, on literature regarding Queen Kristina of Sweden. The historical method of this essay will be historiography, as a result of the fact that my study is based on other historians and scholars research. Moreover, my intention is to include Kristina´s entire life in Sweden, from her birth as far as to her abdication from the Swedish throne and study this through the gender perspective introduced above. With this mentioned my essay therefore is named Against All Odds.

This is a qualitative study that has investigated four people's experiences of making a physical change of life. With narrative depth interviews, the study was characterized by the informants own experience of their experiences and thoughts. With questions surrounding their experiences of alienation, belonging to the standard, people's attitude and prejudices against their appearance. The investigation revealed that the informants experienced shared experiences and things that separated them. The conclusion based on the people in this study was that people with low self-esteem are at greater risk for experiencing alienation.

Syftet med vår studie var att undersöka hur ledande personer inom arbetet mottrafficking i Uganda ser på sexuell trafficking som socialt fenomen/problem. Viville ta reda på vad dessa uppfattningar påverkas av och hur de i förlängningenpåverkar deras arbete mot sexuell trafficking och de utsatta. Vår undersökningsresultat och analys bygger på nio semistrukturerade intervjuer med praktiker ochexperter inom många olika fält som på ett eller annat sätt anknyter till arbetet mottrafficking. Resultaten av dessa intervjuer presenteras i tematisk form utifrån vårafrågeställningar. Vår studies teoretiska utgångspunkter var postkolonial teori samtintersektionellt perspektiv.

The study aims to examine how three books written for teenagers and young adults address topics that are generally considered as deviant to social norms in order to conclude if they can contribute to a norm critical pedagogy in school. Norm critical pedagogy is foremost based on gender- and queer theory and tends to discuss how social norms and power structures are constructed and reproduced in different social contexts. To work in a norm critical fashion the teacher must be aware of the present norms and work to make the pupils conscious of them. Thereby the focus is on existing norms, rather on the deviances. To use norm critical pedagogy correct it must be incorporated in all subjects in school.The books that have been analysed in this essay are Syskonkärlek by Katarina von Bredow, Henrietta är min hemlighet by Maja Hjertzell and Tusen gånger starkare by Christina Herrström.

Vi har valt att använda oss av textmaterial från ett diskussionsforum på internetsajten Ungdomar.se. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur användare av detta forum talar om sexuell identitet och kategorisering av sexuell identitet, i de texter vi studerar.De frågeställningar vi utgått ifrån är: ? Hur talar man om sexuell identitet?? Hur talar man om att kategorisera eller definiera sin sexuella identitet?? Hur talar man om negativa och positiva aspekter av att forumets diskussionstrådar kategoriseras på ett visst sätt?Vi har använt oss av diskursanalys som metod och undersökt olika mönster och diskurser i den text vi valt att studera. Vi har använt oss av tre diskussionstrådar från ett diskussionsforum vilka vi, utifrån teori och tidigare forskning, analyserat under olika teman. Några av de teorier och begrepp vi använt oss av är socialkonstruktionism, heteronormativitet och sociala kategorier.Vårt resultat visar att det i textmaterialet finns olika sätt att tala om sexuell identitet och kategorisering av sexuell identitet, samt hur forumet är kategoriserat.

Denna studie baseras på kvalitativa semistrukturerade djupintervjuer med personer med olika fysiska funktionsnedsättningar om deras upplevelser och erfarenheter om funktionsnedsättningar, sexualitet och genusgörande. Kategorin funktionsförmåga är i många diskurser omarkerade. I det icke uttalade om kroppars olika förmågor förväntas och blir en funktionsfungerande kropp norm. Min studie grundar sig på ett teoretiskt samarbete där Robert McRuer?s cripteori utgör referenspunkten.
