The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

Occupational Health Service (OHS) has an important role in society. It is designed to prevent illness and strengthen the health of workers. OHS operations and development are currently being studied at the School of Technology and Health at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. One of the industries studied is the home maker service. During the 2010s were such employees one of the most ill groups in Sweden.This master's thesis in occupational environment development and change management focus on examining the special knowledge an OHS and its clients in one home maker service need to strengthen the workers of the industry and find out how the interaction between OHS and home maker service works and how it could be evolved.A qualitative study was conducted in a Swedish city on the basis of an organizational perspective.
Hur har undervisningen påverkats av läroplansbytet till Lgr 11? - Några matematiklärares erfarenheter
Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur några matematiklärare har påverkats av läroplansbytet mellan Lpo 94 och Lgr 11. Hur har deras profession påverkats av detta byte samt deras attityder till läroplaner rent allmänt? Genom observationer och kvalitativa intervjuer har vi undersökt hur fyra matematiklärare på två olika skolor har påverkats. Detta har sedan analyserats med hjälp av skillnader i läro- och kursplaner samt en begreppsapparat som vi tagit fram genom relevant litteratur, främst Göran Lindes läroplansteori. Vårt resultat visar att läroplanen till viss del inverkar på lärarnas val av metoder och bedömning men man önskar fortfarande en tydligare konkretisering av lärarnas uppdrag och vad undervisningen ska innehålla.

Quality Assurance in Service Procurement --- Total Quality and Total Quality Management refer to popular management philosophies in organizations these days. The purchasing department has an important part in the strive for organizational quality as several studies show corporate spend is significant and increasing. In this master thesis I study the actions companies take to ensure quality in service procurement. I argue that managing quality when sourcing services is particularly tricky, because of the special characteristics that belong to services. The purpose of the study is to examine whether different actions are taken to ensure the quality of different kinds of services.
Hotellverksamheter på Makarska rivieran : en undersökning av dess kvalitet, servicenivå och tillgänglighet
Background and problem: In Croatia, the hotel industry has undergone difficult and unstable conditions since the 90s. Since 2001, however the results in the sector has improved due to increased investment in the renovation of facilities and construction of new hotels.Purpose: The study aims to examine hotel operations on the Makarska Riviera on the basis of tourist business perspective, and examine its quality, service and accessibility.Method: In this study we used a qualitative approach. The survey was conducted through structured interviews and a non-participant observation.Result and conclusions: Satisfied and fulfilled employees, in turn that the hotels will have satisfied customers and may have profitable operations. Many hotels aim at constantly working to improve profitability and customer satisfaction. When measuring customer satisfaction, many hotel owners felt that the service is good and that they have received a good response from their guests.
Beteendevetare - Ett (o)möjligheternas begrepp : - en kartläggning och textanalys av tre olika aktörers beskrivning av beteendevetare ur ett professionsteoretiskt perspektiv
Följande arbete avser att synliggöra den förvirring som undertecknad anser råda kring begreppet beteendevetare. Med den utgångspunkten har en kartläggning gjorts av vad högskolor, universitet, arbetsförmedling och fackförbund säger om beteendevetare i den information de har på sina respektive hemsidor. Informationen har sedan strukturerats upp med hjälp av metoder för textanalys och diskuteras slutligen utifrån olika professionsteoretiska perspektiv. Vi använder oss både av traditionella professionsteoretiska definitioner samt ett par nyare kompletterande teorier om professionstyper. Då vi inte funnit någon tidigare forskning om beteendevetare tittar vi på forskning om samhällsvetare och socionomer.

Undersökningen är riktat mot vårdanställda och reseledare då tidigare undersökning påvisat samband mellan social trötthet och reseledare. Undersökningen är av en kvantitativ metod i form av en enkät. Denna enkät skickades ut till sammanlagt 110 personer i service branschen (vårdanställda och reseledare).

Organizational culture is a widely discussed topic. Today job mobility in society is increasing as well as part-time employment. This study aims at investigate how organizational culture is maintained in an organization where employees work as combiners of different work occupations. The study is a case study of the department of Art at Konstfack (The University College of Arts, Crafts and Design). The organization is unique in the respect to that the majority of the employees have part-time employments within Konstfack combined with their parallel own artistic occupations.

Socialtjänstlagen i mötet : Socialarbetarens möjligheter för att stärka individens egna resurser
The purpose of this study was to examine the resources and barriers that social workers have incorporating the Social Service Act states during meetings with clients, using and developing the client's skills and knowledge, develop their own resources and to promote the use of self-determination. A qualitative study was done by interviewing six social workers working within the in social service?s department for family and individual welfare. Social workers were encouraged to describe and discuss the key aspects of cases that developed positively respectively negatively. Motivation theory, evidence-based practice, empowerment, and expert-expert relationship are the theories and concepts that we used to analyze the material.The study's main conclusion is that the most important prerequisite for positive development of cases is that the social worker emphasizes and stimulates the client's own resources during meetings.
Hot och våld i arbetslivet : - En kvalitativ studie om socialsekreterares utsatthet
The purpose of this study was to investigate how social services workers describe, the risk of being exposed to threats and violence in their profession. Six social services workers were interviewed, four from the Welfare Office in a major city and two from the Child and Family Services in a minor city. Results showed that the majority of social services workers consider themselves exposed in their profession, meaning that they feel there's a risk of a violent or threatening situation occurring in their work situation. All interviewees had experiences from some sort of threat or violence in a work related context and they attested that non-personal assaults, such as threats made through telephone, email and answering machines are more common than verbal assaults made in personal meetings. Being prepared and listening to ones intuition is a way of dealing with exposure when meeting with a client.
Den interna marknadsföringens påverkan på tjänstekvaliteten: en fallstudie av två säsongsbaserade hotell
The purpose of this thesis was to study how internal marketing affects service quality in the tourism industry. It was decided to conduct a case study on two hotels with summer seasonal employees. Pite Havsbad and Strand Hotell Borgholm were chosen as study objects. The case was based on interviews with the hotel manager at Pite Havsbad and the vice president at Strand Hotell Borgholm, who coordinates the internal marketing at the companies. The findings were that seasonal employees do not affect service quality much.
Att vilja jobba som lärare : En intervjustudie med lärarstudenter
Denna uppsats handlar om grundskollärarprofessionens utveckling, verksamma lärare och lärarstudenter. Uppsatsen utgår ifrån följande frågeställningar:Hur har grundskolan och grundskollärarens historiska utveckling vilken lett fram till dagens skola och lärare sett ut?Hur framställs dagens verksamma grundskolelärare inom forskning i fråga om den egna yrkesrollen och verksamheten i skolan?Vilken bild av lärarstudenter går att synliggöra i fråga om uppfattning, syn och attityder gentemot sitt kommande yrkesliv, lärarens roll och skolan?Vad motiverade dessa lärarstudenter att söka sig till lärarutbildningen och fortsätta densamma för att bli lärare i grundskolan?Vilka likheter, skillnader och eventuella samband går att synliggöra mellan de tre ovanstående bilderna?Studien visar att lärarna befinner sig i en starkt utsatt yrkesposition med en ifrågasatt profession och ofta höga påfrestningar i arbetsvardagen. Men såväl verksamma lärare som lärarstudenter innehar en stark drivkraft som motiverar de i sitt nuvarande och kommande utövande av yrket och uppdraget som lärare..

Many children in Sweden are exposed to maltreatment. Among the purposes of the Child health care (CHC) are to decrease mortality, infirmity and handicaps among mothers and their children, and to decrease hurtful strains for parents and their children. CHC-nurses get critizism for not reporting child maltreatment in high enough numbers to the Social service. The aim of this study was to chart how CHC-nurses finds their work with families suffering from maltreatment. Ten CHC-nurses were interviewed with semistructured interviews.
Ä lskade Patient - En studie av Public Service Motivations roll för motivationen hos vårdanställda
A tough working climate and the lack of extrinsic motivation at workplaces within health care raise the question of what instead drives employees within this industry. A possible answer to this is Public Service Motivation (PSM) - a type of motivation that is based on the desire to do good for society and its individuals. In order to investigate this further we have performed a qualitative study consisting of ten interviews with people working with institutional care, where the purpose has been to identify the sources of motivation and determine the impact of PSM. The results show that the compassion dimension of PSM appears to be one of the most salient motivational factors. While the rest of the PSM dimensions fail to explain the level of motivation to the same extent as compassion, other factors are recognized, such as relatedness and aspects of the nature of the work itself.
