During spring 2008, the Institution for Landscape Architecture, in co-operation with Naturvårdsverket, initiated a survey in the districts of Skåne. In the survey, four out of eight park characters were examined, and it was observed that not only was it difficult interpreting these characters, but it was also presented with difficulties separating ??Lustgården?? and ??Allmänningen??. The purpose of this master thesis in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Psychology is twofold. Firstly, a theoretical framework will be constructed on the thee characters ??Allmänningen??, ??Lustgården?? and ??Centrum, festen??.

Bauhaus har arbetat fram en ny affärsplan för 2011-2012 där ett internt mål är att bli ?bäst på service?. Ett steg på vägen är ett nytt utbildningsprogram som syftar till att göra medarbetarna mer kundfokuserade. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur personalen respektive ledningen upplever att Bauhaus satsning på nya utbildningar har tillfört större kundfokus inom företaget samt hur den interna kommunikationen skapar förutsättningar för att satsningen ska lyckas. Teoretiskt utgår studien ifrån vad som skapar tjänstekvalité samt hur företag kan påverka tjänstekvalitén.

Svenska veteraners upplevelser av livssituationen efter genomförd internationell insats

The main focus of this study was to investigate how Swedish military veterans experience that events during an international service affect them after completed mission. This also includes the contact with their relatives. Secondly, this study deals with the course of the crisis, personal defense mechanisms, cumulative stress and post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD).The study was performed using a qualitative method and comprises individual interviews with six Swedish veterans. The responders were all men of different military positions, who participated in one or more international missions during 1993 to 2011.The results of this study show that, according to the veterans, the return back home is the most strenuous part of an international mission. With all the new experiences that an international service brings fresh in their memories, it is hard to re-adjust to the life of a civilian.In connection with the return back home, different degrees of stress reactions were also commonly seen, for example sleep disturbance, restlessness and exhaustion.

Den reviderade revisionen: en studie av avskaffandet av revisionspliktens påverkan på tjänsten revision

Sweden has had statutory audit, which also includes a management audit, for all companies since 1988. A legislative proposal now suggests that the statutory audit shall be abolished for all small and medium sized companies starting on July 1, 2010. The aim for this master?s thesis is therefore to study how the service of auditing will be affected by the legislative proposal. To answer the research question the authors have taken on a qualitative approach and fifteen interviews with representatives for different Swedish auditing firms have been completed.

The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. Movement patterns of Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) around their kills in southern Sweden

During the last ten- fifteen years the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) population in southern Sweden has increased considerably. This area has a high density of both people and roads and have a higher roe deer (main prey of lynx) density than the rest of the country. Movement patterns such as how long animals utilize their kills and how far they travel from their kills between revisits is unknown for lynx in southern Sweden. The aim of this study was to examine how different factors affected the time lynx used their kills and the distances they travelled from the kill between revisits. The data was prepared and calculated using ArcGIS and the study is based on 98 ungulate kills and 12 lynx individuals.

Distribution of wild boar (Sus scrofa) damage and harvest loss in crop fields

The last decades the populations of wild boar (Sus scrofa) has increased rapidly over the species? entire European range, including Sweden. This is followed by increasing human-wildlife conflicts as a result of the wild boar foraging behavior, causing damage to agricultural crop fields due to trampling and feeding. To be able to minimize damage we need more knowledge of where in the fields the risk of damage is high and what features in the landscape that affect this risk. I analyzed damage distribution in relation to the distance to six different landscape features; forest, road, ditch, building, game field and bait station, in the study area, the Island Mörkö in eastern central Sweden.

Gestaltning av boendelandskapet i gränsen mellan stad och land : exemplet Norränga i Lund

This is a 20 credit Master thesis within the landscape architecture education at the Institute for Landscape Planning at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences at Alnarp. Norränga is situated on the fringe of the city of Lund, east of the existing district of Linero.The city planning office of Lund municipality has come up with a ?in-depth comprehensive plan? for the exploatation of the eastern area of Lund. The plan concerns an area of 1035 square kilometre which contains at least 1500 nya buildings, two schools, primaryschools, stores and bus station for local bus traffic and the new bus line - Lundalänken. The townplan is inspired from the historical Square block city with defined street system. The municipality has visions of what the green areas should consist of.

Att konstruera hjälpsökande : En studie av sociala akter

A foundation of our welfare state is that we have a social safety net. This safety net is designed to pick up individuals who are in need of help and support to manage their way of life. This essay regards people who need help with care or people who need help with an addiction. This essay is a qualitative text analysis, which aims to see whether, and if so how, help-seekers are constructed in 40 social service documents within a municipality in central Sweden. We have endeavored to illustrate the power that the written word possesses and which categories of people are constructed depending on the language and content of the social documents.

Studentkorgen : Tjänsteutformningen som kan underlätta universitetsstudenters matvanor

The purpose of this study is to identify how the needs, demands and preferences for a certain service appear among University students in Kalmar. This is necessary to examine in order to create and design a possible service that will solve the problem with the University students eating habits.This study is based on a qualitative method with quantitative elements. The qualitative method contains of three focus group discussions. The quantitative method contains of a questionnaire. All respondents in this study fits in the target group.One important conclusion that we have stated after the investigation of this study, is that the nature of this problem seems to differ from person to person.

Business Intelligence. Software as a Service

Bakgrund: Ett antal nya idéer har blivit introducerade i ekonomistyrningen på senare tid och mycket har skett inom Business Intelligence (BI). BI har dock mest funnits som del av ett större system eller eget system som implementeras till företag på plats. Konceptet att istället hyra olika IT-lösningar, så kallade SaaS-lösningar (software as a service), blir allt mer populärt inom affärsvärlden och kan minska företagens börda när det gäller installation, konfigurering, underhåll och andra inneboende projektriskfaktorer.Frågeställning: Vad innebär fenomenet SaaS BI och hur ser spridningen ut?Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva Business Intelligence som hyrtjänst, samt studera hur detta sprids och anammas av marknaden i Sverige.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod för att samla in djupgående data till studien.Resultat och slutsatser: Studien visar att SaaS BI är en innovation. Spridningen av SaaS BI på den svenska marknaden är begränsad och spridningen sker i dagsläget främst från utbudssidan, alltså förespråkare av innovationen.

Blåtand och Service Management ? en fallstudie om lojalitet genom service från produkttillverkare till återförsäljare

Upprinnelsen till denna fallstudie är berättelsen om en konsument som efter lång tids övervägande bestämt sig för att inhandla en mobiltelefon av ett specifikt varumärke. Efter att ha besökt butiken, där han övertalats av en säljare, finner han sig vara nybliven ägare av en helt annan mobiltelefon och ett annat varumärke än vad han ursprungligen önskade. Säljaren påverkade konsumenten att köpa en mobiltelefon av ett märke som denne själv föredrar. Vad beror det på? Fallstudiens problematik koncentreras på relationen mellan tillverkaren och återförsäljaren på den svenska mobiltelefonmarknaden.
