Idag leds företag av tre hörnstenar: kommunikation, informations- och dokumenthantering. Dessa begrepp hör ihop och förutspår framtiden för företaget. Detta är även ämnet som denna rapport berör. Rapporten beskriver 10 poängs examensarbete, som utförts som en del i vår utbildning.Kommunikation är alltså en mänsklig handling, något som vi gör och information är det vi utbyter genom att kommunicera med varandra. Information är något som finns överallt idag och berör oss alla på olika sätt och vis.

Mitt uppdrag var att åt Explizit (och Argentum, Explizits ägare) utveckla en Android-applikation som implementerar en del av deras bokningssystem Interbook för att låta användaren se sina anläggningar och vilka bokningar som fanns på dessa, samt utförlig information om bokningarna. Inloggning och hämtning av data (anläggningar, bokningar och så vidare) skulle genomföras mot en webtjänst. Appen utvecklades i två etapper, där den första etappen bestod av gränssnittet och kontroller för detta och den andra av kopplingen mellan klient och server.Jag kom igång med första etappen väldigt fort och det var egentligen inga större svårigheter i konstruktionen av det. Efter tre och en halv veckas arbete hade jag en någorlunda färdig variant av gränssnittet. Även om arbetet på det fortlöpte under resten av projektet, förflyttades då fokus från gränssnittet till etapp två i projektet.I andra etappen arbetade jag på kopplingen mellan klient och server.

According to a decision of the European Commission, measures are to be taken to reduce the use of energy in the EU. The goal is to reduce it by 20 % compared to the current use. This shall be done to the year 2020 (European Commission, 2011). One industry that use large amounts of energy is the construction of buildings which account for almost a third of the energy use (Brogren, 2012). The major part of the energy that is used in the construction industry is not used when the buildings are built, but rather during the rest of their subsequent lifetime.

TietoEnator GSS ser att ett system för att utföra diagnostik på egenutvecklad programvara, t.ex serverprogramvara för e-tjänster, skulle kunna effektivisera driften av dessa tjänster. The company System Andersson is developing systems for controlling materials and production in industries. They want to add a new service, where parts of those systems are accessible through cell phones.In this paper we are investigating which technology are best suited for this kind of application. And then we describe how we are developing a prototype fort this application, based upon that technology. After investigating technologies such as Java ME, Microsoft Silverlight, and web applications we settled upon building the system as a web application, customized for a mobile environment.To build a web page which is readable by many different cell phones we use the markup-languages which are developed for cell phones. We put much effort in reading about the standards and recommendations for the mobile web, produced by the organizations W3C and OMA.

Syftet med projektet var att tillverka en webbaserad kartvisningstjänst för att visualisera geografiska och infrastrukturella förändringar över tiden. Detta genom att historiska och dagsaktuella kartor överlappas och presenteras som en bild.Applikationen utvecklades i ASP.NET med programspråket Visual Basic. Som databashanterare användes Microsoft SQL-server 2000. För bearbetning av kartmaterialet användes Arcview 8. Som utvecklingsmetod användes David Siegels modell för att konstruera webbplatser.

In supporting an efficient way to gather and develop contact information for the Uppsala Association of Technology Physicist alumni, it is crucial to have in place an adequate and user-friendly system allowing the continuous collection and storage of such contact information. This can achieved by the creation of a website where alumni can enter information about themselves and where such information in turn is stored in a database. A database containing relevant tables has been developed in MySQL. An Android-application that is intended to be used during airsoftgames (a gamesimilar to paintball) has been developed. In this application, which is called TactiX,players can join different teams and see their team members on a map. Through theapplication players can interact with one another in a variety of ways. They can send text messages, give orders and send drawings to each other. Players can also make observations of enemy players on the map.

The purpose of this project was to create a system which can handle issues, with other words an issue tracking system. The system must create issues, assign issues to a specific user and list all issues for each user. Our project is divided into two parts, one production and written report. The main focus was the production part, were we used PHP to create simple solution for handling SMS and MMS with direct communication with the mobile operator server. We communicate with sockets and can handle CIMD2 and MM7 protocol. To get our components easy to use we have created two classes to handle SMS and MMS. I utredandeavsnittet presenteras information om hur servervirtualisering fungerar samt information om ett antal aktörer på virtualiseringsmarknaden. Avsnittet tar dessutom upp vilka fördelar servervirtualisering medför ur ett kostnads och miljöperspektiv. Genomförandeavsnittet presenterar intervjuerna som har genomförts genom personliga besök på IT-företag och företag med en intern IT-avdelning. This report documents the development of a software system for automaticscheduling called Hazel. This system is comprised of a server where an automaticscheduler has been implemented, as well as a web and mobile applicationthat allows users to interact with the system. The scheduler hasbeen developed with the functional programming language Haskell and usesa SAT-solver.Manual scheduling has long been the bane of managers everywhere, asmatching the needs of the employer with those of the employee is often adifficult and time-consuming task.
