The purpose of this essay is to examine and compare the news covering of Swedens three biggest cities (the metropolitan areas) and their surrounding areas with the covering of the rest of the country (the provincial areas) in two daily national newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter. The method that has been used is a Quantitative Content Analysis.Despite the essays hypothesis, that the news coverage in the two newspapers would be dominated by material from the metropolitan areas, the result showed that a majority of the examined articles concern the provincial areas. It also showed that Aftonbladet has a bigger percentage of provincial news than Dagens Nyheter.

Förevarande kvalitativa studie hade som syfte att få fördjupade kunskaper om hur det kan upplevas att komma som ensamt flyktingbarn till ett okänt land, samt hur man idag som vuxen ser tillbaka på dessa upplevelser. Materialet analyserades med hjälp av meningskategorisering i en hermeneutisk ansats och grundade sig på halvstrukturerade intervjuer med fyra finska krigsbarn vilka idag uppnått pensionsålder. Resultatet visade skilda upplevelser vilka kan förstås genom olika bemötanden från fosterfamiljernas sida, hemförhållanden, ålder vid tiden för separation från föräldrarna, vistelsetid i det nya landet eller kontakt med biologiska föräldrar. Upplevelserna förefaller ha verkat traumatiserande för den enskilde individen vilket lett till konsekvenser i vuxen ålder. Koncentrationssvårigheter, separationsångest, rädslor, svårigheter att lita på andra och dålig självkänsla är några av följderna men även positiva konsekvenser såsom anpassningsförmåga, har nämnts i intervjuerna.

On March 1, 2012, Google introduced its new privacy policy which is applicable to all Google services. This means that search history may be saved by Google indefinitely and may also be associated with the specific account during the first 18 months. We assume that few people read this policy and we have hypotheses that a deeper knowledge of the contents of the privacy policy affects how users perceive Google as a company and/or the usage of Google services. In this study, we have conducted surveys at the IT University of Gothenburg, to investigate how many participants that have read or possess some knowledge of the privacy policy. We have found that very few participants claim to have read the privacy policy.

One problem though is that the domestic waste, particularly the source separation, at the three resident blocks for students? isn´t working very well. An analysis of a specific application of anaerobic wastewater treatment at a pulp and board mill, Stora Enso Skoghall, was carried out. A literature study was done and effluent wastewater from CTMP pulp production was analyzed. The analysis consisted of a broad constituent analysis and an anaerobic treatment trial. Results from these test where used to calculate the treatment effectiveness and resulting energy potential at the mill.The literature study and constituent analysis showed that toxicity of the water to be treated, due to wood extractives and sulphur content, was of concern. Detoxification chemicals targeting these constituents where used in the anaerobic treatment trial.

The product structure of the fuel tank installation is one of the most complex product areas at Scania. Caused by the number of parameters, which affect the fuel tank installation, a product structure is created which is very difficult to handle. Knowledge exist that the structure in a nearby future will be considerable more complex. The purpose of the study has been to understand in why this complexity exist and find ways to break the trend of a growing product structure. The goal was to achieve a more standardized fuel tank installation.A theoretical study was performed in order to bring knowledge in relevant areas both in general theory but also in documentation at Scania.
