The material is analyzed using descriptive tools, cross tables and correlation matrices in which general characteristics as well as individual understandings of the network communication are presented and discussed.Main results: The general results indicate that the network communication serves important purposes, such as providing support and motivation for the members and changing attitudes towards equal opportunities. The analysis suggests that the network members have good communicative possibilities to serve as agents of change within their organisations. Moreover, there is an observed relation between, on the one hand, organizational context and, on the other hand, the network members? own communicational behaviour and their experienced possibility to influence their organizations.Keywords: network communication, diffusion of innovations, behaviour change, Equal Opportunities Act.

Several theoretic and environmental psychological models establish a connection between the environment and the reactions of humans and the research support that there is a mutual influence between individual, environmental and behavioral factors. You often assume that a person both can influence and be influenced by the surrounding environment. This is evident, but it is less obvious how a given physical design influence people?s immediate behavior in the city. The aim of this study was to investigate if the physical design of a place influences people in an urban environment and to investigate how the behavior is influenced.

Den som missbrukar alkohol eller narkotika och begår brott relaterat till missbruket, har möjlighet att erbjudas behandling istället för fängelse som straff. Vi ville med denna rapport belysa betydelsen för individen att bli erbjuden vård istället för galler. Frågor vi ställt är; vad skiljer ett liv av missbruk mot ett liv efter behandling och om kontraktsvård kan likställas med en Semesterliknande vistelse? Rapporten är grundad på intervjuer med personer som erfarit både fängelse och vård på ett behandlingshem. Vi fann att droger kan locka alla sorters personer från olika samhällsskikt till ett missbruk.

The political philosophy of our time?An analysis of the ideas of the international debate aboutChávez socialistic politicSince more than 2000 years there has been an ongoing discussion about whether state interference is a good thing or not. Most international organisations on the international political arena are today founded on neoliberal values, and it has developed in to the hegemonic ideology of the world. The socialistic politics of the Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez is thereby a somewhat unusual strategy. The purpose of this essay is to examine to what extent the international debate about Chávez socialistic politic can be understood through a neoliberal perspective.

Since several rules of law have a consideration of age, the Swedish labor law collides in many ways with the prohibition of age discrimination. The employment directives of EU were implemented in the member countries after the shift of the millennium. Sweden was the last member to introduce age as a ground of discrimination in its legislation. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether the Swedish regulations, regarding age discrimination and its application, is compatible with the EU.  The aim is also to investigate what is required to exclude the prohibition of age discrimination. The labor law provisions concerning the retirement age given in 32 a and 33 §§ LAS, priority rules according to 22 § LAS and the collectively agreed holiday benefit, which is regulated according to a worker's age, is to be investigated to see if they actually qualify for the exclusion of the prohibition against age discrimination. Furthermore, the paper intends to describe if the Swedish legislation has taken account of the research available on the subject of "age" and ?age discrimination?.

Arbetet är ett examensarbete i högskoleingenjörsutbildningen, inriktning datateknik, på Linnéuniversitet. Växjö kommun är just nu mitt i ett nytt projekt för att sammanställa hela IT-organisationen för att göra servicen för anställda och medborgare bättre. Detta projekt kallas ?Ett IT? och ska sammaställa IT-organisationen till fyra huvudavdelningar. Dessa avdelningar är Servicedesk, Service, System och Utveckling.I samband med dessa förändringar har önskemålet om ett enklare sätt att söka efter personer inom IT-organisationen kommit upp.

Konkurrensen bland tjänsteföretag ökar ständigt vilket har lett till att kunder idag kräver betydligt mer av företagen och dess service än de tidigare har gjort. Denna ökning kan bero på en mängd olika faktorer som till exempel att marknader tenderar att ha större tillgång än efterfrågan. Detta innebär att det blir svårare för företagen att hitta nya samt behålla nuvarande kunder. Om kunderna inte är nöjda med kvalitén på företagets service och värde så riskerar företagen att förlora kunderna.För att skapa kundvärde och erbjuda tjänster med bra kvalité så krävs det att företagen har personal som kan och är villiga att utföra dessa arbeten. För att de anställde ska kunna utföra ett arbete som ger värde åt kunden så krävs det att denne känner sig motiverad till det.Hur motiveras personalen i hantverkarbranschen till att skapa kundvärde? Vilken roll har kommunikation och belöningar för att skapa motivation?Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur små till medelstora tjänsteföretag arbetar med belöningar och kommunikation för att motivera sin personal.Uppsatsens resultat tyder på att personalen i hantverksföretag föredrar monetär belöning för att motiveras till att skapa kundvärde.

?Optimizing the workflow of hydraulic reservoir tanks? is a degree project made by Jonas Olsson, student within the faculty of technology and science, during spring Semester 2012. The project comprise 22,5 ECTS.Volvo Construction Equipment, located in Arvika, was the client in this project. The mentor at Volvo CE was A?sa Barck, and the mentor at Karlstad University was Monica Jakobsson.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka tonåringar och föräldrars uppfattning om vad en bra familj är. Genom kvalitativ metod med en induktiv utgångspunkt har tonåringar och föräldrars beskrivning av ämnet undersökts. 100 deltagare har skriftligt berättat vad en bra familj är för dem. 50 tonåringar har författat en uppsats, 10 av dessa var 18 år och 40 var 13 år. 50 föräldrar, med barn i motsvarande ålder har som en del i en enkät svarat på samma öppna fråga.

To do this, a comprehensive question how does the government and the involved interest groups work together in policy networks? has been broken down to three more specific questions: (1) Can the cooperation between the government and the interest groups be placed within the frame of a issue network or a policy community? (2) Has the cooperation between the government and the interest groups contributed to new tools for the government to prevent the gas pipeline? (3) If the answer is yes to the second question then, which are these new tools?My examination is a case study of the policy network that exists around the Swedish actors in the case of the Baltic Sea gas pipeline.
