Att utöva våld i hederns namn har historiskt sätt existerat länge och kvinnor som gjorde sig skyldiga till utomäktenskapliga eller föräktenskapliga relationer fick allvarliga påföljder. Syftet med studien var att se hur olika yrkesverksamheter så som kvinnojouren, polisen, kuratorer och barnmorskor arbetar och samarbetar i hedersrelaterade ärenden och undersökt vilka komplikationer kan förekomma. Fjorton deltagare intervjuades. Hedersrelaterat våld präglas av patriarkala kulturer som innefattar hierarkisystem där underordnade individer tar skuld för skam. Resultatet visar att isoleringen från samhället och det sociala livet börjar stegvis och i tidig ålder.

The European Union (EU) has since the Treaty of Rome 1957 pursued the goal of gender equality and one effort is through their gender equality strategies. In recent years EU also has had an increased emphasis on intersectionality. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine how intersectionality is portrayed in EUs three gender equality strategies between 2010 and 2025. To investigate this, the problems and solutions presented in the strategies have been reviewed. The study uses a qualitative content analysis and a theoretical framework of intersectionality with an analytical scheme to study the equality strategies.

Hot och våld är vanligt förekommande inom prehospital akutsjukvård. Intoxikation med droger utgör en allt vanligare patientgrupp som vårdas av ambulanspersonal. Ambulansuppdrag med patienter som är intoxikerade med GHB, GBL eller 1.4 BD är vanligt förekommande i Västra Götaland. Hot och våldssituationer i samband med omhändertagandet av GHB-intoxikerade patienter är riskfyllt för ambulanspersonalen. Patienten kan snabbt pendla mellan att vara medvetslös till att bli hotfull.

According to the curriculum for the Swedish preschool system, children?s development and learning should be documented and analyzed in order to evaluate and develop the preschool quality. Social criticism is directed to some of the methods of documentation for assessing the children´s individual knowledge development. The purpose of this study was to examine how, what and why some teachers use documentation in preschool. I wanted to examine which methods preschool teachers used when they documented the children and what they focused on.

This paper aims to explore those yet relatively unexplored dimensions of Frantz Fanons (1925-1961) authorship. Fanon, known to the world as a theorist of violence and revolution, was one of the first to ever map the language of the colonizer. The language of the colonizer was, as Fanon would have it, imbued with different notions of time, constructions of historicity and ideological principles of individuality that would dehumanize the colonial subjects. In line with that the colonizer would also speak of the colonized people in what Fanon called zoological terms. From within those different notions emerged a racist rhetoric consistent of, to quote Richard Delgado, words that wounded.

In 1974 the three municipalities of Åsele, Dorotea and Fredrika were amalgamated despite of hunger strikes, mass protests and a serious threat of violence. But after six years the marriage shattered as Dorotea left the other two after years of continued struggle. In 2005 the idea of an amalgamation of Åsele, Dorotea and Vilhelmina municipalities was brought to life by an older and ever declining population.By creating a democratic ideal type consisting of the three variables ? legitimacy, participation and identity ? this study assesses what impact an amalgamation of the three municipalities might have on local democracy.Combining a qualitative and a quantitative approach this study concludes that amalgamating the municipalities today could create a democratic unit lacking legitimacy, having a weak identity and impeding participation. But the study also brings forth that the impact of an amalgamation upon the variables of the ideal type as defined is not written in stone.

There's a good adherence to the vaccination of children, about 98% of all two year olds are vaccinated. Despite this, there are cases of whooping cough and measles in Sweden. The purpose of the study was to describe what motivates parents to not vaccinate and reflections and attiudes about vaccinations. The study had a descriptive design with qualitative approach. Eight parents who had chosen not to follow the National Board of Health?s vaccination program or whom had decided to completely abandon, participated in the study.

The present essay concerns Walter Benjamin?s thought regarding history and temporality as he articulated it in his last work that was only published posthumously: ?U?ber den Begriff der Geschichte?. The purpose is to analyze Benjamin?s construction of historical materialism and to suggest a reading of it as directed towards an opening of history. For Walter Benjamin, every moment presents itself as a possibility of radical otherness: a possibility for things to be different.

Syftet med experimentet var att genom en beroende mätning undersöka om förnedrings-tv hade någon effekt på individers upplevda och självrapporterade empatiförmåga och sinnestämning. Vidare undersöktes också om det förelåg genusskillnader i empatiförmåga och sinnesstämning beroende på vilket filmgenus försökspersonerna fått se förnedras eller lovordas i filmsekvensen.Undersökningen utfördes på 185 högskolestudenter med hjälp av enkät. Försökspersonerna fördelades över vilken typ av film de har sett. Filmeskvenserna delades in i fyra olika, där två var av positiv karaktär med filmgenus man och kvinna där filmpersonerna fick positiv feedback av en jury. Två var av negativ karaktär, med filmgenus man och kvinna där filmpersonerna fick förnedrande feedback av en jury.

Bakgrund: På akutmottagningen använder sjuksköterskor triageriktlinjer för att bedöma hur akut patienters sjukdomstillstånd är. Triage är en komplex uppgift som kräver kritiskt tänkande och medicinsk kunskap. Sjuksköterskor har en viktig roll i patienters upplevelse av att söka vård på akutmottagningen.Syfte: Syftet var att sammanställa och belysa forskning som beskriver sjuksköterskors triagearbete på akutmottagningen.Metod: Vald metod var litteraturöversikt med både kvalitativa- och kvantitativa artiklar. Datamaterialet bestod av nio kvalitativa och tre kvantitativa artiklarResultat: Vid analysen identifierades fyra teman. Dessa var Sjuksköterskors sätt att arbeta med triage, Sjuksköterskors kollegor i triagearbetet, Sjuksköterskors arbetsmiljö i triagearbetet samt Sjuksköterskors förhållningssätt till patienter i triagearbetet.Konklusioner: Tillsammans kan sjuksköterskor stärka professionen och blir säkrare i sina triagebeslut.

This essay is about power in the classroom. It is about the power dimension of the student-teacher relationships that arise in that space. The overall aim has been to investigate which categories are fruitful in a power analysis of these relationships. My aim has therefore been to develop power categories and to use them to identify and to categorise cases of power interaction that take place between those particular actors in that particular setting.In order to gather material for my study I have both read literature that approaches the study of the student-teacher relationships from a power perspective and done a series of observations in a high school.My theoretical frame comprises a concept of power and a series of power categories. These categories include strength, authority, inducement, coercion, violence, resistance as well as to possess power, to have power, to exert power, the scope of power and the base of power.

This study examines the cultural place and status of video and computer games in the Swedish public library. Using works on popular culture and the theories of Pierre Bourdieu, this study employs quantitative methods, as well as textual analysis, to analyze the results of an online questionnaire with 19 questions focusing on selection criteria, shelf placement, perceived competence, as well as reasoning for having or not having these games in the library. 286 out of the 440 libraries contacted is participating in the study, and the libraries consist exclusively of public libraries in Sweden that are found in the database of the Royal Library.The results of this study show that a larger number of libraries than previously indicated have started to provide electronic games to their patrons. At the same time, patterns in the data and comments suggests that these games in many cases still do not enjoy the same level of cultural recognition as other media. Indicative of this is the way most libraries seem to focus on the medium being exclusively for their young patrons, with seem-ingly very little in the way of investment for adults.

Gothic literature has a tradition of dealing with dark subjects, themes and motifs, as well as depicting fear in different shapes and forms. Dani Cavallaro describes dark fiction in terms of the "aesthetic of the unwelcome". The philosopher Edmund Burke separates the beautiful from the sublime and writes that everything that is capable of producing a terror of pain and death is a source of the sublime. In her essay "On the Supernatural in Poetry", Ann Radcliffe draws a clear line between the concepts of terror and horror and distinguished them as fundamentally different. In this essay, I define the terms horror and terror by following up the research surrounding Radcliffes statement.

This essay describes my work as a director in a specialized orientation within psychodrama, surrealistic psychodrama. Using the language and performance techniques of theater and under the guidance of a director, psychodrama creates an improvised narrative or story. The essay describes several dramas I have directed, reflecting on my actions and choices as a director and group leader. I examine whether my working method has allowed me to be spontaneous and creative, which I believe the example of "The dangerous bear" demonstrates. The process enabled me to establish trust and receptivity so that a newly constituted group dared to investigate conflicts in symbolic ways associated with illness and death.
