This discursive policy study has its starting point in the criticism of the Swedish gender-equality policy is depoliticised. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the Swedish gender-equality policy was problematised and designed during the 2000s. The purpose of this paper is also to investigate whether the Swedish gender-equality policy can be defined as a depoliticised policy or not. The research questions of this study are: What´s the problem of gender-equality represented to be in the specifics policies and what effects are produced of this representation? Can gender policy, as it is designed in the various policy documents, be understood as a depoliticised policy, in the sense that sex is not articulated on the basis of a conflict dimension?To find the answer of theese questions I use the method ?Whats´s the problem represented to be", which is an inductive approach where the researcher sets selected questions to its material.

Background: Recently, the Swedish food culture has expanded by leaps and bounds. Interest in food and cooking has taken more space in the Swedish welfare state. Products and icons, such as organic free range chicken or Per Moberg have had greater impact on the way we consume food. Consumers have become increasingly aware of what they should and should not be eating. With an increased interest in food, supply and distribution channels have become increasingly important for the major grocery retailers (Board of Agriculture 2011).

Energimyndigheten har från Regeringen blivit tilldelad 100 miljoner kronor att fördela som investeringsstöd för att främja en effektiv och utökad produktion, distribution samt användning av förnybara gaser såsom biogas. Myndigheten har samtidigt fått i uppdrag att utveckla en sektorsövergripande biogasstrategi och föreslå åtgärder som på kort och lång sikt kan bidra till ökad användning av biogas. Denna strategi ska också tjäna som ett underlag för fördelning av olika former av stöd inom sektorn.Syftet med detta examensarbete är att sammanställa information som kan bidra som underlag vid upprättandet av den sektorsövergripande biogasstrategin. Ett annat syfte är att bidra med underlag för Energimyndighetens bedömning av var ett investeringsstöd kan ge störst effekt för den fortsatta utvecklingen inom biogasområdet. Detta stöd avser den senaste, ovan nämnda, utlysning som Energimyndigheten gjort inom området.

Today produces the wind power 2,5 TWh (TWh = terawatt hours) of Sweden?s total energy input of around 620 TWh. The Parliament has adopted a national planning objective where the wind-based electricity production will increase to 30 TWh in 2020. This requires that landowners will leas there land for wind power to wind energy companies. Such land leasing means that the landowner's business is considered to be a multiple-use.

To reconstruct a building is a long-term investment for farmers and it is important that people with different qualifications are involved at an early stage for making the system adapted to the animals as well the animal keeper. Therefore, ethologists who can contribute with their expertise are needed to design the system and get it to function well for the animals.A Swedish farmer who planned to rebuild her stall for tied dairy cattle to a loose-housing system for recruitment heifers for milk production asked me as an ethologist to find a system which can be fit to her existing tie-stall barn for 30 dairy cows, considering the animal needs in terms of movement, social interactions and play behaviors, and to theoretically compare the system with other systems with respect to the behaviors mentioned.The theoretical comparison between different systems was made through a scientific literature review.In agreement with the animal keeper I set out to fit a system with feeding cubicles, a system with cubicles and a system with deep straw bedding to the barn. After measurements were taken and preliminary drawings were outlined it was found that only the feeding cubicle system was possible to fit to the barn.The space provided will limit the animals to perform some playing behaviors. To decrease aggressive interactions between animals even thought a limiting area it is possible to provide partitions between resources animals compete around to prevent that more than one animal can get success to the resource at a particular place at one time. To increase the animal movement in the system the water trays were moved to the outer wall instead of kept in contact with the stalls.Although this report provides guidelines for rebuilding, other competences regarding building construction and a pre-test of the suggested building solution according to Swedish legislation are needed before the rebuilding can start.The results are directed mainly to the owner of the barn, but the literature review can be used by other cattle farmers and might bring increased understanding of the possible effects of different building solution on the animals..

Förändringar i europeisk lagstiftning har gett producenten ett ansvar för återvinning av använda förpackningar. Den nya lagstiftningen skall vara implementerad i de nationella lagarna senast den 30 juni 1996. Inga förpackningar får om fem år introduceras på marknaden om det inte finns ett uppbyggt återvinningssystem. Dessutom ställer lagstiftningen krav på att mängd förpackningsmaterial som används skall minimeras, så att inga förpackningar i framtiden hamnar i deponi.Ett sätt att uppfylla lagstiftningen är att ersätta engångsförpackningar med returförpackningar av olika slag. Denna uppsats är resultatet av ett uppdrag från Wascator, vars syfte var att undersöka om det är ekonomiskt möjligt och miljömässigt intressant att införa ett system där förpackningar går i retur vid distribution av kommersiella tvättmaskiner.

Denna uppsats är en diskursanalys över så kallade ?pappa-böcker?, böcker skrivna av män om att bli och vara pappa. Syftet är att studera vilket budskap dessa böcker förmedlar och hur männen framställer sitt faderskap. Syftet är även att studera hur budskapet förhåller sig till den sociala kontexten texterna befinner sig inom. Den sociala kontexten är skapad utifrån en litteraturstudie av tidigare forskning.Studiens teoretiska infallsvinklar har varit det socialkonstruktionistiska perspektivet i allmänhet och maskulinitetsteorier i synnerhet.

Hur fungerar Internet som politiskt verktyg i praktiken? På vilka sätt förändras förutsättningarna för politisk kamp med ökade möjligheter till oberoende medieproduktion och global distribution? Med ett tvärvetenskapligt förhållningssätt grundat i ett medie- och kommunikationsvetenskapligt perspektiv intervjuas representanter från den svenska miljörörelsen samt organisationer som arbetar för mänskliga rättigheter i Tibet. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att sociala rörelser arbetar i digitala nätverk där autonomi, decentralisation och flexibilitet är nyckelord ? precis samma organisationslogik som globaliserade företag arbetar under. Detta möjliggör en oberoende sfär för information och kommunikation som i sin tur leder till ett symbiotiskt förhållande med etablerade mediekanaler. Vi går därmed ifrån att vara ?konsumenter? till att bli ?användare? ? en radikalt förändrad maktrelation mellan producent och mottagare.

Nederbördsmätning är viktigt inom många områden och en relativt ny teknik är enoptisk distrometer som med hjälp av laserteknik mäter nederbördspartiklarnasdroppstorlek och fallhastighet. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur välThies distrometer stämmer överens med nederbördsmätning från ett vippkärl ochmanuella mätningar från institutionen för geovetenskaper vid Uppsala universitet.Institutionen för geovetenskaper överväger att gå över till denna teknik och därmedbehövdes distrometern utvärderas för olika faktorer som kan påverka instrumentet.Vid jämförelse mellan instrumenten visade det sig att distrometern totalt sett samladein mer nederbörd än de andra mätarna. Det är svårt att avgöra vad skillnaden mellaninstrumenten kan bero på men felkällor så som avdunstning och vätning hos vippkärletoch manuella mätningar kan ge mindre nederbörd. En annan orsak kan varafelkalibrering av datan från distrometern. Inga samband hittades för vindhastighet,vindriktning och typ av nederbörd mellan de tre instrumenten.En vidare undersökning gjordes för droppstorleksfördelningen för att ge exempelpå fördelar med en distrometer.

This paper analyzes Allt, Martina Lowden's novel from 2006, from a media discursive perspective. The theoretical framework consists of Michel Foucault's discourse analysis, Friedrich Kittler's research on hermeneutic reading, and N. Katherine Hayles's studies of pattern?randomness controlled meaning production. Various examples on how communication technology influences the narrator?s act of writing illustrate the medial discourse surrounding the body of Allt.

The aim of this thesis is to explore how librarians approach to and knowledge of young people can be seen in their work methods and in activities arranged for young people. I also want to investigate other factors that librarians think can affect how they work. Five interviews were carried out with five librarians who worked with young people at public libraries. The literature review covers; young peoples needs and leisure activities, young peoples attitudes to libraries, activities arranged for them and towards departments for young people at public libraries. Literature dealing with librarians` attitudes and knowledge of young people was also included.

This essay will examine the historical picture of the island Rapa Nui as it is portrayed in popular science and in ecohistorical literature of the university of Gothenburg. This historical picture states that the inhabitants of the island cut down a lot of trees in the process of transporting the big and heavy statues, moai, from the quarry to the platforms along the coastline of the island. During this process all trees disappeared and resulted in soil erosion. The cultivation was destroyed and brought hunger to Rapa Nui. The following rivalry for food led to a situation of war followed by a cultural collapse.

This study is a formative evaluation of a prototypecollaboratory for sharing data collection instruments inlibrary and information science (LIS). The aims were to findout: how the study participants, five hospital librarians,experienced the interaction with the prototype while workingwith predetermined tasks; and their views on the differentfunctions of the prototype collaboratory.Methods used for data collection was as a survey; followedby a think-aloud session where the participant verbalisedhis/her thoughts during the interaction with the prototype;and finally a semistructured interview. The survey wasanalysed with a frequency distribution, while the data fromthe other methods were analysed qualitatively by extractingthemes from the transcribed sessions.The results show that although the librarians expresseddifferent problems while working with the interface, mainlyrelated to the language in the prototype collaboratory anddifficulties with the page for applying metadata, all of themwere confident in being able to learn the system after using itfor a while. The librarians had a positive attitude towardssharing data collection instruments as well as comments inthe prototype collaboratory. At the same time, they wereaware that students and researchers might have differentabilities or incentives to work and share information.

The Swedish Prime Minister, Tage Erlander, made a speech on the 22 of August 1961 in which he dismissed speculation that Sweden was seeking to abandon its neutral stance and non-alignment in foreign policy with a view to requesting membership of the European Economic Community. The reason was that the EEC was supposed to have a political part where a connection with NATO should have existed. This speech led to a domestic discussion which has been called the most intense debate of foreign affairs in recent history. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the reactions of the other parliamentary parties to Erlander?s speech.
