In this study I try to answer the question what to consider when teaching about identity andreligious identity in Religious Studies at Upper Secondary Schools in Sweden. This inquiry isbased on the fact that the latest Program manuals for upper secondary school, GY11, instructsthe teachers to talk about identity and religion, while in the Curriculum for upper secondaryscool, Lpf 94, as well as the latest curriculum, SKOLFS 2011, the idea of identity seemslinked with ethnicity.With this in mind I want to clarify what might be meant with the concept of identity. Byreferring to several different identity theories I propose to illustrate the complexity of theconcept. I study gender, queer and postcolonial theory as well as different aspects of classstructure and commodification of identity, all through the perspective of intersectionality.Intersectionality is not a theory as such but a method of studying various perspectives of anissue. It is an analytical praxis of using several angles of investigation and explanationtogether, all phrased with the background of the question of power.

Purpose: This study`s purpose is to investigate the role of a business incubator in the strategic decision situations during the process of a new venture startup. It also aims to explore the methods and instruments the incubator and its advisers applies during the process.Methodology: This study is built on the basis of a hermeneutic approach with qualitative method and abductive design. The empirical material collected consist of interviews from two case studies and secondary data collection from different related sources.Theoretical perspective: The theory in the study consists of the elements of previous research on innovation processes and entrepreneurship. To analyze the data, models and theories related to decision making, incubation, process theories and organizational theories.Empirical foundation: The empirical material consists of interviews and data from two completed case studies. Additionally consist a relatively large part of the empirical data out of a comprehensive information retrieval from various secondary sources such as internet, newsletters and annual reports.Conclusion: The assay was able to detect not just one, but a variety of roles that the incubator occupies at different stages of the innovation process.

I have in my thesis performed a survey that builds on interviews of five former students at Mediepedagogiskt Center (Mpc) that is located at Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet in Karlstad which is incorporated into Karlstads-Hammarö comprehensive upper secondary school. The sample group of students all has various withdrawal years between 1997 - 2004. The aim of the survey is to evaluate any direct qualities that these students have had that helped them to get a occupation within the media industry after the completion of their education at Mpc. This survey also tries to evaluate whether the orientation of their particular style of education is a factor for achieving employment. Before 1998 the course was divided into three A and B-level courses within the directions, photography, graphic design, text communication, sound production and film/television. After 1998 these are now divided into one A, B and C level courses, and one another level courses on A and B-level. The result shows that something more than? just? a good schooling with high grades is needed to succeed into getting a occupation within the media sector.

The following study pertains to investigate the Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus as it is portrayal in text books aimed at the course Religion 1 for Swedish upper secondary school. The study was carried out by looking at 12 selected books meant to function as teaching aids suitable for the course. The methodology covers both qualitative and quantitative aspects. The study shows that the topic of the resurrection is dealt with in a ratherneutral fashion. In secondary school for individuals with learning disabilities there has been a focus on care-taking rather than on comprehension in general, and on reading comprehension in particular.The purpose of this study was to investigate whether Reciprocal Teaching would increase reading comprehension and motivation among upper secondary school for individuals with learning disabilities. The study presents how three 17-year-old pupils and their teacher, discussed expository fact texts during twelve lessons using the reciprocal method combined with power point-presentations to get the students to read more actively with interferences and reflections. The ambition was to make the structured text talks as interesting as possible with texts easy to read, technical aids, structure to make the students feel security when reading and to get committed pupils with an increased interest in reading.The results show an increase in motivation in reading, and the students were more prone to take an active part in discussions..

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa den bröstcanceropererade kvinnans vardag med lymfödem samt vilka preventiva omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan vidta för att undvika utvecklingen av lymfödem. Forskningsprocessen är baserad på Goodmans sju steg för en systematisk litteraturstudie. Resultatet är baserat på 11 vetenskapliga artiklar. Utifrån artiklarnas resultat utvecklades två teman, dagligt liv och prevention. Det påvisades att lymfödem hade en negativ påverkan på det dagliga livet för kvinnor som utvecklat lymfödem.

Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på vilka möjligheter sjuksköterskan har för att arbeta preventivt för övervikt och obesitas. Författarna till det här arbetet belyser vilka orsaker det finns till övervikt och obesitas. De undersöker även om det finns speciella åtgärder för kvinnor som drabbats av övervikt eller obesitas. Att det finns en genomgående rädsla för unga kvinnor att bli våldtagna har konstaterats i tidigare studier. Folkhälsoinstitutet visar i en annan studie att kvinnor i stor utsträckning undviker att utnyttja grönområden på grund av rädsla för våldtäkt och överfall. År 2020 ska Skellefteås vision om världens tryggaste samhälle förverkligats, trygg sexualitet och ungdomars psykiska och fysiska hälsa ska prioriteras. Syftet med denna rapport är att lyfta fram hur unga kvinnors rädsla för våldtäkt ser ut, deras tankar kring prevention samt de aktuella aktörernas preventiva åtgärder för att förebygga rädslan. Studien är avgränsad till Skellefteå kommun och 54 av dess unga kvinnor mellan 17-20 år som har fått besvara en enkätundersökning vilken rapporten i stort bygger på.

Swedish students' knowledge of mathematics has deteriorated in recent years. Teaching of mathematics is therefore starting point in an ongoing discussion among researchers, school leaders, politicians, teachers and others, who all thinks they know best about how teaching should be designed to the greatest extent possible to raise students' proficiency levels in the subject. Teachers' practices have long been the focus of discussions and views on these differ. The purpose of this paper is therefore to study students 'conceptions of mathematics and mathematics teaching, with teachers' methods and tools of focus, in relation to previous research on the subject. The method used was a survey of students in secondary school and a textual analysis of previous studies on the subject.As revealed by the survey was that the textbook has a big advantage in mathematics education in Sweden today.Many students are not accustomed to working in a different way and thereforedoes not know either what the alternative approach entails.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka risken för Compassion Fatique hos sjuksköterskor vid Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala. Compassion Fatigue är då en person som konsekvens av sitt empatiska engagemang gentemot en annan person blir emotionellt utmattad. En enkätstudie bland psykiatrisjuksköterskor och sjuksköterskor inom den somatiska vården gjordes, dessa jämfördes i avseende på Compassion Fatique-risk. Huvudresultatet tyder på att nästan en fjärdedel av sjuksköterskorna som grupp är i riskzonen för att utveckla Compassion Fatique och att närmare 40 % av alla deltagare var i riskzonen för att utveckla utbrändhet. 21,9 % låg under referensvärdet för Compassion Satisfaction, vilket innebär att man ej känner sig tillfredställd med sin arbetssituation.

Övervikt och fetma är ett växande folkhälsoproblem som medför risker för att utveckla sjukdomar som hjärtsjukdom, diabetes och ledbesvär. En ökning av övervikt och fetma ses även hos barn och studier har visat att barn med fetma löper högre risk att drabbas av sjukdomar senare i livet. Vinster finns i att arbeta förebyggande mot övervikt, både på individ och på samhällsnivå. Skolsköterskan har en viktig roll i detta preventiva arbete. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva skolsköterskors preventiva arbete mot övervikt och fetma hos barn i låg- och mellanstadiet samt uppfattningar om och reflektioner kring detta arbete.

In this thesis I set out to study how the reading of fictional literature is viewed, legitimatized and operationalized in two educational domains: the recently revised steering documents that all Swedish teachers must relate to, as well as a selection of teaching materials designed for education in the Swedish language for upper secondary school. The teaching material I have studied has been recently updated in order to correspond with the new steering documents. I relate my analysis to previous research about the use of fiction in education, and I also combine my analysis of the two educational domains to see whether the underlying intentions of the steering documents have influenced the revision of the teaching material. The outcome indicates that the steering documents? previous focus on culture has diminished although a certain insecurity as to how to use the concept and deal with the issue of whose culture should be taught can be identified.

The aim of this comparative study is to analyse the French and the Polish regional governance in order to see if there are any differences in their regional ruling systems. Further more I will study their different possibilities in taking part in the European Union regional political market. The shape of the regional systems will be explored both organisationally (study of the institutional entities of the regional construction) and functionally (study of the competencies of the regional body etcetera) to focus on its cause on the regional development. My over all focus will be to find out whether regional rule means differently in the countries France and Poland.Several questions are dealt with and the two main ones are as follows; How do the different structures of the form of government in France and Poland influence the governance on the regional level? Do Poland, as a new member state of the European Union, have what it takes to face the challenges of the new membership; or are there a complex of problems arising from the admittance that prevent its regions from fully taking part in the European regional political market?Some of my conclusions are as follows;There are major differences between the two countries when it comes to their regional ruling systems leading to different abilities in taking part in the European regional political market.
