Syntaktisk komplexitet hos ungdomar och vuxna med läs- och skrivsvårigheter
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are any differences regarding syntactic complexity in written language between persons with (phonologically based) reading and writing difficulties and a control group. Earlier research has pointed to such a difference, indicating that texts written by subjects with reading and writing difficulties display a lower grade of syntactic complexity than text written by control groups.Two texts each from 48 subjects (24 from each category) were collected. The subjects were divided in two age groups, one consisting of 15-year-olds and the other of university students (adults in various ages). The subjects were selected through a word decoding test and a spelling test, where the lowest performing formed the group of reading and writing difficulties and the highest performing formed the control groups. Jag har gjort en studie av English House i Danmark, där danska skolklasser får veckolånga språkbad. Att enbart tala engelska med eleverna blir där möjligt genom att även utnyttja andra sätt att kommunicera, än det rent verbala. Jag har relaterat undervisningen på English House både till språkforskningen, och till de vanligaste språkinlärningsmetoder som används i skolan. Att språk handlar om kommunikation mellan människor är naturligt på English House. Metoderna som används är många, för att passa så många som möjligt, och stimuleraså många sinnen det går.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att i Jonas Hassen Khemiris roman Ett öga rött undersöka matens roll som identitetsskapare och kultur- samt symbolbärare, liksom mat som katalysator för känslan av tillhörighet och utanförskap och skapandet av ett "vi och de"-tänkande. Både orientalismen och den postkoloniala teorin bör kunna bidra med fruktbara begrepp att utgå ifrån när det gäller att undersöka identitetsskapande i Ett öga rött. Boken utspelar sig förvisso i ett svenskt samhälle, ett samhälle som inte har mycket av den mörka, koloniala historia som andra västeuropeiska länder bär på. Trots detta finns både föreställningar om "vi och de andra" och centrum och periferi ständigt närvarande även i Sverige, och många är de människor och grupper som alltför väl känner utanförskap även här. Dessa teorier bör därför kunna komma till användning på ett givande sätt.
Estetiska vägar mot språket : En undersökande essä om estetiska lärprocessers påverkan på språkutveckling
My purpose with this essay is to examine the relationship between esthetic learning processes and language development to find good practices in my work with multilingual children. In my report, I describe a few activities from my work as a preschool pedagogue in a multicultural area, with a large group of children where age and knowledge of Swedish varies. The background to this essay is the problems I experienced in my work with children´s language development in an organization that, in my opinion, is limited by economic factors. The questions I poses are about the way esthetic learning processes can help children develop their language skills as well as their participation in preschool activities. I also pose the question whether there is a connection between the musical ear and children´s development of language.
Språkutveckling och matematiska kunskaper hos andra språkiga elever i ett IV program.
Our work is based on a mathematics test which the students accomplished, interviews with student and teachers who are working on this program and the current literatures. The purposes of this work are to search the importance and the effect of the languages understanding in students learning of mathematic in the Individual high school curriculum. In total, sex students and three teachers took part in our study. Tow of the students is mother tongue language student and the remains are second language student. Our study should answer tow important questions:? Do the student in the Individual high school curriculum have the fundamental knowledge in mathematic?? How does the understanding of Swedish language effect in the understanding of the mathematic problems and in the students results in mathematic test?In order to answer those questions, the students have to complete a mathematic test that consists of four parts.
Integrering av estetiska uttrycksformer i kärnämnen matematik och modersmål : En jämförande studie av en svensk och en rysk lärare
The aim of my examination work was to compare and research how russian respective swedish teachers make use of educational aesthetic methods such as drawing, drama, music and dance in the teaching of core school subjects ? mathematics and swedish respective russian languages. The aim of this work was to find out which of these methods are used by pedagogues in the process of education and on what level are they integrated into the theoretical pedagogic work. The point was to also analyse the regulation documents used as pedagogical base in schools i've been doing my survey in. This was done to partly find out what arts perspective is given in the curriculum and partly to see what pieces of it are reflected in the process of education.
Hur skapas en journalist? : En biografisk studie på nyexaminerade journalister
The study - Hur skapas en journalist? - examines why so many people choose to turn tothe journalist profession when the conditions for a secure position on the labor market ispoor. The study also highlights how recently graduated journalist perceives their temporary and insecure position on the labor market.The study was performed trough ten biographical interviews with recently graduated journalists. Via the interviews I examined what has formed the individuals to perceive journalism as a rational or pragmatic choice for a career. The study shows that journalists, who come from families with high cultural capital, have been shaped by a particular culture of education, which focuses on education as a step towards selfrealization.

The aim of this study is to investigate if and in that case how preschool teachers work with language development in bilingual and multicultural preschools. The concept of linguistic and cultural diversity includes several different components, not least the social interactions that are of great importance to every individual's development, learning and participation in the world. By understanding the importance of language, language development and the role of mother tongue in second language acquisition, we look into various researches done concerning the effects of the preschool teachers? opinions, methods used to language developmental primarily for children who are multilingual and how the physical environment is shaped to promote language in multicultural and multilingual preschools.The method used in this study is semi-structured interviews with preschool teacher working in multicultural or bilingual preschool settings.
Undervisning i främmande språk. En fallstudie om metoder i språkundervisningsprocessen
Föreliggande studie undersöker metodiken i språkundervisningen. På så sätt vill jag tydliggöra undervisningsprocessen. Metodikämnet kan ses som ett redskap för att kunna utöva yrket och utan metodiken skulle språklärarna sakna den grundläggande yrkeskunskapen. Alexandersson&Morberg (1993) skriver att metodikämnets åliggande ligger i att i ord ge uttryck för den yrkeskunskap som en erfaren och reflekterande lärare har vävt in i sitt yrke, det vill säga, klarlägga läraryrkets tysta kunskap. Jag anser att det borde ligga i varje lärares intresse att skapa en så effektiv, nöjsam och lärorik undervisning som möjligt och ju fler metoder man har att tillgå desto större är chansen att uppfylla sådana krav.
Spår av autism i Czeslaw Milosz Issadalen - Traces of Autism in Czeslaw Milosz Valley of Issa
The partly autobiographical book Valley of Issa, written by Czeslaw Milosz describes (among other things) the childhood of a boy, Tomasz who is the main character, and his interactions with his relatives. In this essay I will claim that these characters possess startlingly obvious autistic traits, and in relation with this I raise and discuss another question: Does the author Milosz himself express autistic traits? My essay could hardly constitute a complete analysis with definite answers, (the bachelor format of the essay and the fact that Milosz is dead limits more extensive investigations) and I do not mean to claim that Milosz was a sick person, even though I may suspect it. Let this essay be an eye-opener and a visionary foundation for new approaches to Milosz authorship. The value of it lies in its approach.
En fonetisk studie av danska diftonger
I denna studie har det huvudsakliga syftet varit att undersöka hur de danska diftongerna i det fonologiska inventariet realiseras fonetiskt. De primära faktorer som har studerats är dels hur öppningsdiftongernas respektive slutningsdiftongernas "bana" ser ut, dels vilken variation det finns beroende på hur diftongen börjar eller slutar, dvs om t.ex [w]-läget kommer att uppnås oberoende av hur diftongen börjar, samt vilka effekter bakre [R] har på vokalerna.Materialet som låg till grund för undersökningen bestod av 37 rammeningar (det var . du sagde).

The content of teaching materials considerably affects pupils? attitudes and worldview. This paper is an analysis of textbooks used in 7th through 9th grade of the Swedish School system in Swedish as a Second Language (SSL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The purpose of this paper is to look at which minority groups, the five official national minorities as well as other minorities, are included and portrayed in the textbook series Tre gånger svenska and Wings Mini as well as to see if there is any bias in their portrayal. The seven types of bias investigated; invisibility, stereotyping and generalizations, unreality, imbalance and selectivity, fragmentation and isolation, linguistic bias and cosmetic bias are an adaption of the framework to detect bias in curriculum materials presented by Sadker and Zittleman (2002/2003).

One hypothesis is that timing of glutenintroduction in infants affects the disease risk.
