In the post-war era many European countries were recovering from the ravages of the bombings of the second world war destroying whole countries. Sweden being neutral was spared the destruction of war but instead we demolished almost as much housing all by ourselves. A social program was modeled to modernize the country and to drag the swedes out of poverty by building one million apartments in just ten years and demolishing the old, dilapidated working-class neighborhoods. The traumatic events of the demolition of large areas of both the central and the outskirts of most Swedish cities is still very much present in the collective memory of people today and the new modernistic districts are still paying the price of that, more than fifty years later. Today these modernistic districts are in need of repair, and they are often homes to groups alienated from society making their reputation even worse.

This thesis is performed as a summarizing project for the mechanical engineering education at School of Engineering in Jönköping. All knowledge necessary to complete this thesis was gathered from previous courses and education.This project was to develop a new product for the company TR Equipment AB in Tranås. The new product is going to be based on an already existing product, TR 1700. TR 1700 is a bathtub equipped with a height adjustable function. This product is used in retirement homes and in the care of disabled people.

Partille municipality is planning an extension of the building Forellen. Green environments in health care have been shown to improve the health of patients, especially in elderly care. This report addresses the possibility of using the leftover space in close connection to a dementia and short-term accommodation to a winter garden and a terrace. The report also analyzes the impact of these green spaces on the residents.The purpose is to find alternative answers on the issue through the study of nursing homes and green spaces, and that these may be useful for Partille municipality and inspiration for future projects. The goal is to get conclusions in to a report, drawings, and an oral presentation.The results show that the design of environments can affect human well-being and also be healing both mentally and physically.

Syfte: Att belysa fritidshusturismens styrkor och svagheter i tre olika aspekter av hållbarhet: ekonomiskt, miljömässigt och socialt, samt att undersöka fritidshusens framtida betydelse för den hållbara turismen i Värmdö kommun.Metod: För denna uppsats har vi använt en kombinationsstrategi. Denna utgörs av fyra intervjuer med personer som är centrala för syftet, en enkätundersökning bland lokalbefolkningen på Djurö i Värmdö kommun samt sekundärdata bestående av bland annat statistik från SCB och planeringsdokument från Värmdö kommun.Teoretiska utgångspunkter: Uppsatsen utgår från teorier om hållbarhet, fritidshus påverkan på destinationer, toppkonsumtion samt fritidshusturismens framtid.Resultat: Fritidshusen utgör ett positivt komplement till den traditionella turismen som äger rum i Värmdö kommun främst under sommaren. Detta eftersom fritidshusägarna i större utsträckning än de traditionella turisterna besöker kommunen även under resten av året. Ur ett hållbarhetsperspektiv har fritidshus både positiv och negativ påverkan på lokalsamhället, där framförallt de positiva ekonomiska effekterna är framträdande. Den traditionella turismen i kommunen bedöms öka till följd av ett flertal destinationsutvecklingsarbeten.

The purpose of this essay is to examine how Irish people on a rural location practice their faith in everyday life. The intention is also to find out what strategies my interviewees use to negotiate the abuse scandal and what their thoughts on the Catholic Church are. The material mainly consists of interviews with seven people part of a rural parish in Ireland. My research also entails smaller observations and conversations in the homes of the participants.The results indicate that they all consider themselves religious, however not all Catholic. All of the participants integrate their religion in everyday life.

With this research we aim to examine foster parents and social workers perceptions about the relationship between foster parents and the foster child?s biological parents and their perceptions about the support to the foster parents in the contact with the child?s biological parents. The research will provide a deeper understanding of the actors? perceptions and explain possible differences in their opinions. This study has a qualitative approach and contains eight semi-structured interviews with foster parents and social workers in a smaller town in the south of Sweden.

Heart failure is an illness that requires life-long treatment and often affects everyday aspects of a person?s life. Self-care is a significant part of the treatment. Good self-care resources make it possible for people with heart failure to make the lifestyle changes they often need to maintain or improve their level of health. Self-care means having knowledge of and being able to recognize the symptoms and signs of deterioration that can occur with heart failure, so that the person can take appropriate measures ? and it also means knowing when it is time to seek professional help.

The aim of this study is to investigate what kind of support unaccompanied children needs when arriving in Sweden, according to the staff that is receiving unaccompanied asylum seeking children in Sweden. The method is qualitative and is based on interviews and previous research. The result shows that the main subjects who were of interest from the interviews are elementary need, the support offered, security, ?parental gestalt?, education, leisure, obstacles in the work.All the interviewees describe young people's needs very different when it differs from person to person. The support children receive is the most important factor that unaccompanied children need to be developed and get a better and safer life.

In the 1940s the Swedish town planning was inspired by the English city development with the concepts of neighbourhood and community planning. In order to promote democratic development and solidarity the ideal would be to create community centers with full service. Community centers are part of the building of the suburbs during the postwar period. The buildings in Sweden from 1940 - and -50s were built with the intentions to be good homes for all regardless of income, class and status. Collective solutions to individual problems were characteristic of the Swedish policy during this time.

A change has occurred in terms of recruitment to teacher education. From having been an educationof high status and reputation, a reduced application rate has led to lower admission requirementsand thus that students with much lower educational qualifications entering, which in turn means thatthe education status and reputation have been reduced significantly. Mathematics, on the other hand,has always been a topic of high status and reputation. Although there are few students who chooseto study to be a mathematics teacher. By conducting a survey of students on teacher educationtoday, both with mathematics and other approaches, I wanted to get answers to my questions aboutwhat influences students' choice of education: who are the students studying to be teachers inmathematics? Do they distinguish themselves from the student teachers who studies to be teachersin other subject specializations? Pierre Bourdieu's sociological ideas about cultural capitaltransmitted from parent to child constitute the theoretical framework of the study.Early in the study, I noticed that there is a difference between students studying to be a teacher inpreschool, primary or middle school and them studying to be a teacher in secondary and highschool, especially in terms of the mathematics student teachers.

Printed and painted wallpaper on a weaved fabric backing was a common way to decorate homes in Sweden during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Not much is written about the craftsmanship in relation to the hanging of these wallpapers and even less about the conservation of the objects. Even so, many wall segments remain in situ and in museums and are more often than not in dire need of conservation such as deacidification and consolidation. These are composite objects, consisting of cellulose materials with different properties along with adhesives and paints. Analysis of the materials is required to ensure safe handling and choice of conservation materials, and to establish a treatment plan which will be executed in several steps. This thesis aims to identify these steps and develop a method for conserving the wall segments with suitable materials, preferably without altering the source material to any significant degree.

The aim in this bachelor thesis is to describe and analyze ritual performance and transference of religious traditions in some Hindu homes in Varanasi (India). In particular from the children?s perspective. The curriculum of Religious Education in the Swedish schooling system focuses on religious life, expression and practice. SammanfattningBakgrund och Problem: Varumärkesarbete i företag har under senare år blivit av allt större vikt där insikter kring företags aktiviteter och omdöme har fått större utrymme och inflytande ut mot marknadens aktörer och deras val och interaktioner. Det händer ibland att ett företag helt byter varumärke, detta som fenomen kallas rebranding. Genom denna rebrandingprocess finns det flera kritiska moment vid implementeringen av det nya varumärket. Denna problematik har vi valt att studera med färgfackhandeln Happy Homes som studieobjekt och hur detta varumärkesarbete ut mot Växjö Färg & Tapet som franchisetagare fungerat.Syfte: Avsikten med uppsatsen är att redogöra för de steg och moment inom implementeringsarbetet vid rebranding som vidtas samt vilka olika påverkande aspekter som kan härledas till de aktiviteter som kan uppstå i processen. Vi har för uppsatsen ett syfte vilket ämnar att: ?Beskriva hur implementeringsarbetet vid en intern rebranding mellan ett företag och en ny franchisetagare kan ske på ett effektivare sätt.?Metod:Vi har arbetat genom en kvalitativ metod med en deduktiv ansats där vi gått från teori till empiri vilket vi sedan analyserat och dragit slutsatser ifrån.
