Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia. The individual who fall ill can be in an age between 40-65 years old. When dementia affects individuals at this age, many relatives take their responsibility for taking care of them at home for a long time.The aim of this study was to illustrate emotions relatives experienced when a close family member's suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The study was intended to show relatives emotions, and therefor four self-biographies were chosen to read. The method used to analyze was a narrative literature review.

The research this report is based on aims to find out the characteristic features of the marketing tools that are essential for a music artist, and define a successful artist. The thesis arises and discusses how different medias can have an affect on an artists career and on his/hers achievement. To bee seen in the right medias can have an important influence on their career. To be able to answer our aim we have interviewed people who have a solid knowledge about music business, we have also used a qualitative method. The outcome of the research is that there are some indications that show important factors which are essential when it comes to marketing artists.

We studied how librarians would adapt to telework, the performance of job responsibilitiesfrom home. We found'that all duties could be accomplished. but to varied extents.Computerbased searches, interlibrary loans, acquisitions, indexing and telephone referenceservices are the duties most likely to adapt to telework whereas cataloguing andclassification probably are best performed in the ordinary workplace.Most duties would demand access to technical means of assistance when performed fromhome. Connections to the library's local network, directly or via modem, are requiredbecause it is unrealistic to expect librarians to telework with fewer tools than theyordinarily have available. Although librarians generally believe that teleworking will nothave a large irnpact on the operation of the library, most would like to telework.Whether teleworking is a viable strategy depends on the characteristics of the duties, thelibrarian's desire to telework, but also on the size of the library, the size of its staff, thelibrary's activities, and how work is distributed between librarians..

Syftet med studien var att beskriva subjektiva multifaktoriella metoder som sjuksköterskor kan använda för att identifiera äldre patienter med malnutrition och patienter med risk för att utveckla malnutriion. Syftet var vidare att redogöra för vilka undersökningar som sjuksköterskor i kliniskt arbete använder för att bedöma patienters nutrionsstatus med samt att belysa sjuksköterskors attityder till prevention av malnutritionstillstånd. Studien genomfördes som en systematisk litteraturstudie. De vetenskapliga artiklar (n=17) som ingick i studiens resultat söktes i databaserna ELIN@Dalarna och CINAHL. De sökord som användes var malnutrition, nutrition, undernutrition, elderly, screening, assessment, MNA, SGA, nurses och attitudes i olika kombinationer.

This study is on how small companies can use the Internet as a part of their marketing strategy to gain a leverage on their competitors with small means to survive and expand in the global market. Many Swedish small companies still don?t have a sufficient knowledge on how to use the communication channel despite the various advantages the Internet offers.Case studies were conducted of how AdLibris, A-lotterierna AB and SF-bokhandeln perceived the importance of using the Internet as a part of their communications strategy.This new communication channel demand new ways of applying traditional marketing principals. Careful analysis of the interviews and how the answers relate to new and old marketing theories makes the bulk of this study. The conclusion is that the Internet solely is not enough, a combination with traditional marketing tools is the way to succeed in their marketing efforts.

Syftet: Syftet med denna studie var att få en överblick över vilket vetenskapligt underlag som finns för huruvida den patientupplevda livskvalitén hos patienter med parodontit påverkas av den parodontala behandlingen. Material och metod: Sökning av studier gjordes i två databaser, PubMed och Cochrane. Dessa artiklar screenades sedan enligt förutbestämda kriterier först utifrån titel, sedan abstract och sist i sin helhet. Kvarvarande artiklar efter det ingick i analysen. Resultat: Sökningen i databaserna resulterade i 452 artiklar. Efter screening kvarstod 15 artiklar som lästes i sin helhet och 9 av dem ansågs passa in enligt de kriterier som fanns. Alla studier utom 2 hade endast använt sig av en generell metod för att mäta livskvalité, en studie hade använt sig av både en generell och en sjukdomsspecifik mätmetod och en studie hade använt sig av frågor som de själva hade utvecklat.

Bakgrund: Våld i nära relation är ett allvarligt och utbrett samhällsproblem. Våldsutsatta kvinnor kan söka hjälp överallt inom vården. Sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att möta våldsutsatta kvinnor kan vara avgörande för identifiering och adekvat fortsatt vård. Syfte: Litteraturöversiktens syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att möta kvinnor som utsatts för våld i nära relation. Metod: Litteraturöversikt baserad på vetenskapliga artiklar sökta i databaserna PubMed och Cinhal.Totalt tolv kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar har kvalitetsgranskats, analyserats och sammanställts till ett resultat.

The purpose of this thesis was to study the importance of virtual communities for independent record companies. It also aims to examine how these companies use virtual communities in their marketing activities and how to gain competitive advantages by working with virtual communities. A case study based on interviews was conducted with managers from two independent record companies, Music Is My Girlfriend Recordings and B&B Records. Our study has shown that virtual communities are important for independent record companies as tools for finding and addressing the right target market. Useful information about the members of these communities can easily be gathered with the use of the various search options that are available.

SammanfattningDet har tidigare visats att överviktiga patienter riskerar att bli förbisedda i screening för undernäring och att vårdpersonal har negativa uppfattningar om överviktiga individer. Det har även visats att överviktiga själva upplever att de behandlas sämre än andra. Men trots hög förekomst av undernäring bland sjukhusvårdade patienter har få studier utforskat om patienter med risk för undernäring får olika vårdinsatser beroende på deras BMI. Således är syftet med denna uppsats att undersöka om vårdinsatser vid identifierad risk för undernäring i någon utsträckning är beroende av patientens BMI.Datamaterialet kommer från en retrospektiv tvärsnittsstudie baserad på genomgång av 56 journaler för vuxna patienter med risk för undernäring, inlagda på somatisk vårdavdelning på tre svenska sjukhus. Denna studie undersöker möjliga skillnader beroende på patients BMI för förekomsten av 1) bedömning av mun och sväljförmåga, 2) kostregistrering, 3) dietistkonsultation, samt 4) kostanpassning.I detta begränsade urval finns inga sådana skillnader som uppfyller kraven på statistisk signifikans, men analysen påvisar några tendenser i datamaterialet som antyder att patienter kanske behandlas olika med avseende på BMI.

Internal working models of attachment are claimed to be unconscious structures operating outside the conscious awareness. Existing measures of attachment are almost exclusively explicit, either self-reports or interviews and it is questionable whether these instruments are able to tap into unconscious attachment attitudes. The main purpose of the present study is to develop Implicit Association Test (IAT) tools for assessing adult attachment and to examine their construct validity. Two sets of implicit attachment measures, based on the two-dimensional attachment model (Bartholomew & Horowitz, 1991), were developed. Convergent validity was assessed by examining (1) the relationship between implicit model of self and implicit self-esteem and (2) the relationship between the implicit model of other and implicit sociability.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskans erfarenhet av att stödja äldre vårdtagares nutrition i äldreomsorgen. Utifrån studiens syfte användes forskningsintervjuer med kvalitativ induktiv ansats.

My thesis is based on a qualitative study in which I have selected six professional teachers in a school in Greater Stockholm, and their views on the phenomenon of conflict management. My questions were the following.How teachers perceive the phenomenon of conflict in the world of school?What strategies do teachers use to resolve conflicts with students?In order to analyze my informants, I have chosen different books that deal with conflict man-agement, policy documents and books on the teaching profession meaning. Through my investigation I found that some teachers used tools and strategies through expe-rience and reflections, and resolve conflicts together or individually. My informants described that there are some teachers how choose to hide and pretend not to see the problem.

The eld of Brain-computer interfaces (BCI) concerns linking together an external device with the brain of a human or an animal. By doing this the conventional use of a mouse or keyboard can be circumvented, which can greatly benefit people with different types of diseases that cause paralysis or other loss of motor control, such as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). A BCI can also be used for cognitive training of either healthy or mentally impaired subjects to increase cognitive capabilities.In this thesis an implementation of an interface is made against such a device, the Emotiv EPOC Headset. The result is meant to be a stable basis for further study using the device. An in-depth study of the history of EEG and its current use in clinical work and research in the topics of BCI as well as Human-computer interaction (HCI) is presented.

This research focus on key groups; students with dyslexia, librarians and teachers, and interaction between these two professional groups regarding students with dyslexia. In searching for the exchange of knowledge and experience to meet dyslexic students needs, I have in this study turned the attention to librarians and their experiences with students with dyslexia.The purpose of the research has been through semi-structured qualitative interviews with four librarians, to explore and describe how they experience their work, in working with pupils with severe reading and writing problems, dyslexia, and interaction with teachers on this user group. The qualitative approach in the gathering of the empirical evidence is based on a desire to have an indepth and thoroughly understanding of the librarians experience.All informants in this study indicate that they see it as a natural part of their duty to keep themselves updated about dyslexia and what materials to suit the dyslexic user group. The informants have knowledge of dyslexia and have great knowledge and keep abreast on the latest technology of compensatory aids - alternative tools.The informants have primary a consulting and supply function for teachers and dyslexic students, where they are consulted on  suitable material in both fiction and facts in various disciplines. The informants highlights the importance of planning and preparation time to find suitable material, as audio books or easy read, so students who have a need for this also can be provided.
