Bakgrund: I Sverige drabbas 10-15 % av nyblivna mammor av depression efter förlossningen. Det är viktigt att identifiera mammorna. En postpartumdepression kan störa samspelet och anknytningen mellan mamma och barn. I Barnavårdscentralens (BVC) basprogram finns ett riktat besök med fokus på mammornas psykiska hälsa när barnen är 6- 8 veckor där mammorna erbjuds fylla i ett screening-formulär.  Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva BVC-sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att identifiera mammor med tecken på depression.  Metod: En kvalitativ induktiv design valdes. Elva BVC-sjuksköterskor intervjuades utifrån en semistrukturerad intervjuguide.

This study in the subject of forest planning is made for Sveaskog and its aim is to develop tools that prognosticate outcome in terms of volumes per sort from not yet cut forest stands. The degree of detail is just to get reliable results for at least one months volumes, for Sveaskogs own forestland in the market region of Norrbotten that is about 100 000 m3fub. The focus of the thesis has been to increase productivity bydecreasing the power losses in an electric tool. The productivity is defined as themaximum number of tightenings a nutrunner can perform without becoming too hot.Before starting the development of this design tool an existing Matlab script, whichcalculates the losses in a slotless electric motor, has been studied and modified torepresent the real losses in a better way. The modification has been made by performingpractical studies of different losses and then adjusting existing parameters in the Matlabscript.Because design changes in one part of a mechatronic system can lead to a decrease inperformance of another part the choice of parameters that can be changed has been madeso that other parts of the system is affected as little as possible.A study of the existing tools efficiency during an entire tightening has been made toincrease the understanding of when and where the different losses appear and to comparethe modified Matlab script with the measured values.The design tool was formed so that it executes the Matlab script, that calculates thelosses, for a number of different design options and stores the alternative which producesthe least losses.

Introduction The genetic skin disease epidermolytic ichtyosis is caused by mutations in either keratin gene 1 or 10 and leads to blisters and hyperkeratosis of the epidermis. At cellular level the disease is seen as aggregates in the keratin filaments. Since medicines are hard to investigate and produce mainly due to lack of reproducible model systems, there is no good treatment available for this disease today. In this article we describe how an in vitro model consisting of cells from a stable cell line transfected with expression plasmids to mimic patient cells, may be a possible alternative for screening compounds for therapies. The first step was to generate an expression plasmid required to complete the in vitro model.

Tidigare forskning visar att det inte är ovanligt att kvinnor dricker alkohol fram tills att de blir medvetna om sin graviditet, därefter avstår det stora flertalet helt från alkohol under fortsatt graviditet. Vetskapen för den gravida kvinnan om att hon intagit alkohol innan hon var medveten om sin graviditet kan orsaka oro att barnet blivit skadat. Syfte: Syfte med studien var att beskriva barnmorskors professionella handläggning kring alkoholinformation under graviditet. Metod: Studien bygger på fem semistrukturerade intervjuer med barnmorskor som arbetar inom mödravården.

Two ecological models of nitrogen processes in treatment wetlands have been evaluated and compared. These models have been implemented, simulated, and visualized in the Modelica language. The differences and similarities between the Modelica modeling environment used in this thesis and other environments or tools for ecological modeling have been evaluated. The modeling tools evaluated are PowerSim, Simile, Stella, the MathModelica Model Editor, and WEST. The evaluation and the analysis have been performed using McCall?s factors for software quality (McCall et al, 1977), a correlation analysis and the Constant Comparative Method (Glaser&Strauss, 1999).

The web shop will be of great benefit to both customers and administrator in a food firm known as Mattias' Livs. The company wanted an online store that facilitates the sale section and gives a full control of their stocks. The aim of this thesis is to create an online store that offers customers the ability to shop online and help the staff to operate the company in a simpler and more efficient way, which reduces the need for human resources and thus leads to less costs for the company. The aim also includes a comparison between the two different tools used to create the online store.

Learning Management Systems (LMSs) hold great potential to support learning activities, for example by providing teachers and students with new and extended spaces for interaction and collaboration. However, this potential appears to be difficult to realize, and despite their perceived learning benefits, the reality is that LMSs are being used primarily for administrative purposes. Meanwhile, external pedagogical tools are successfully put into practice to improve learning outcomes, and the aim of this study is therefore to identify and discuss benefits and disadvantages associated with the LMS as a concept. By interviewing secondary school teachers, we disentangle the idea of integrating administrative and pedagogical aids into a single platform, providing detailed insight into the use of digital tools in secondary education. The study contributes to a deepened understanding of integrated learning environments, and we conclude that there is a conflict between structure and flexibility that needs to be addressed before determining the design of a digital learning space..

Background: The lack of knowledge regarding preschool children's mental health prompted Uppsala University, in collaboration with Uppsala Kommun, to start a study in which children aged 3, 4, and 5 years are screened using the "Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire" (SDQ). This screening method has been introduced into the majority of Uppsala County child care centers (BVC), and the nurses' experience of working with this method is examined in this paper.Method: A qualitative approach with semi-structured questions was used to interview ten nurses who pioneered the SDQ Method. The interviews where recorded, transcribed and analyzed using content analysis.Results: Three themes and nine categories were identified from the interviews. The themes were: "Attitude and motivation are important when working with the form", "Clearer overall picture with preschool answer", and "A tool to identify difficulties". The results show that the nurses were satisfied with the form.

Syfte: Att undersöka i vilken utsträckning sjuksköterskor på vårdcentraler ställer frågor om våldsutsatthet i nära relationer till kvinnliga patienter och vad som påverkar sjuksköterskornas ställningstagande till att fråga. Metod: Tvärsnittsstudie i form av en enkätundersökning. Sjuksköterskor (n=81) vid 11 vårdcentraler i ett mellansvenskt län besvarade en enkät med 13 frågor. Svarsfrekvensen var 77 procent. Resultat: Sjuksköterskor inom primärvården frågar i liten utsträckning sina kvinnliga patienter om de utsatts för våld i en nära relation.

Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka på vilket sätt specialpedagoger/speciallärare använder Screeningplanen i sin verksamhet samt om och i så fall hur Screeningplanen har förändrat deras syn på elevers läs- och skrivutveckling. Ett underliggande syfte är att undersöka vilka pedagogiska insatser som sätts in som träning och kompensation så att skolan kan stötta eleven i sin läs- och skrivutveckling.Teori: Läsning är produkten av avkodning och förståelse, L= A x F, där A är avkodning och F är förståelse (Taube, 2007). The object under investigation in this Master?s thesis is students? information use in connection to Bachelor thesis writing. The purpose of the study is to increase understanding of why nursing students and product engineering design students are using information in such different ways despite their comparable starting point. The empirical material consists of 18 student theses and a document comprising directives for thesis writing that are analysed from three different theoretical perspectives. A citation analysis of all 18 theses is carried out.

This paper set out to investigate how teachers of Swedish in Sweden implement the grammar objectives of the curriculum in their teaching, through interviewing six teachers. It has been important to compare their methods to modern research of grammar teaching and teaching in general. They have been asked a series of questions to answer whether or not they use grammar terminology as mediating tools, if they intergrate dialogue among students in grammar teaching and to what extent the teachers? knowledge of and attitude towards grammar influence their teaching methods. The results show that grammar is used as mediating tools primarily when it comes to feedback on pupils? texts, though not to a great extent; dialogue between pupils is rare when it comes to grammar teaching; and the teachers? grammar knowledge and attitude affect the teaching methods, primarily in the sense that seeing value in grammar knowledge increases the teacher?s desire to develop new methods for grammar teaching..
