Att leva med tinnitus och Menieres sjukdom - ett patient och sjuksköterskeperspektiv

Tinnitus och Menieres sjukdom är båda dolda handikapp, som påverkar hörseln. Tinnitus är ett vanligt symtom, inte bara i Sverige utan även internationellt. Tinnitus definieras som en upplevelse av ljud i frånvaro av yttre stimulering. Menieres sjukdom är ett kroniskt tillstånd som drabbar innerörat och ger symtom i form av anfall med yrsel, hörselnedsättning, tinnitus samt lock för örat. Syftet med detta arbete var att beskriva hur tinnitus och Menieres sjukdom kan påverka patienten i det dagliga livet, samt hur sjuksköterskan kan agera för att dessa patienter ska känna trygghet trots sina symtom.

Från webb till app : En studie i hur interaktions- och grafisk design påverkas i utvecklingen från webbplats till mobilapplikation

This paper reports a study in how interaction design and graphic design is affected in the process of developing an mobile application to complement the use of an existing webbsite. The paper also ask how developers are affected in this process by the use of designpatterns. The purpous of the report was to see how designpatterns affects the development of mobile applications and how the interaction and graphic design differs between various company webbsites and their related application. A study was conducted by comparing three diffrent webbsites with three related applications to find material for our thesis. Interviews were conducted on three diffrent companys that work professionaly with creating mobile applications.

KB-ryggstödet : Vidareutveckling av ett justerbart ryggstöd för rullstolar

This master thesis is commissioned by Permobil AB. The report describes thoroughly the developing process of an adjustable backrest for wheelchairs. The target group for the backrest are people that suffer from scoliosis or other spinal diseases. Because of insufficient pressure distribution usage of traditional backrests is not an option for them.The current solution has got a frame that is made by several adjustable links that is held in place by friction. Between the links velcro tapes are attached that is adjusts the depth.

Nykonstruktion av vattenhydraulikcylinder till diffusör

Projektet genomfördes på Ingenjörsfirma Edman & Sjöberg AB i Filipstad. Syftet med projektet var dels att utreda möjligheterna med att använda sig av vattenhydraulik, men även presentera nytänkande lösningar för ingående detaljer av en hydraulcylinder. Kvaerner Pulping AB, som var kund, efterfrågade en enklare cylinder som fortfarande klarade kraven till låg kostnad. Önskemålet om nytänkande lösningar rörde främst hur kolvstången kan hållas ren från avlagringar samt att lösa genomströmningen i toppläget av rörelsen. Arbetet skulle mynna ut i ritningsunderlag för att senare generera en prototyp av cylindern.

Äldre och den nya världen : En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av medieanvändande hos den äldre generationen

AbstractTitle: The old generation and the New World - A qualitative content analysis of media usage of the older generationKeywords:Digital natives, digital immigrants, diffusion of innovation, content analysisThis study has its focus on how the older generation looks at today's media society and the use of today's media. Through a method of qualitative content analysis based on questionnaires, the aim is to examine what the older generation thinks about today's media, how they use them, and whether there are differences in groups according to age and previous work.The study selected theories bases on Marc Prenskys idea of ??digital natives, digital immigrants and Everett M Rogers book on "Diffusion of Innovation". These theories take up the difference on digital natives and digital immigrants and the spread of new technological ideas takes place through communication over different channels in time among causes people in a social system.The result of the study shows that many older people are good at making use of today's media, but also that many may feel alienation of today's media society. Development has proceeded rapidly in recent years and for the older generation it's sometimes hard to keep up.The conclusion of the study is that the older generation may need more help to discover how today's media can facilitate everyday life and enrich it with more communication despite the fact that it takes place through a screen..

Data och Tv-spel : Data och tv-spels påverkan på ungdomar

The purpose of this study is to investigate in what extension students experience that computer and videogames affect them. I have chosen to focus on the physical, mental and social affect that this activity might bring them. I have also examined how much time the students spends in front of the computer or the videogame and in which social context they play.The method I have chosen to use is a quantitative opinion poll which I used in three classes of the later junior high and I have also conducted five qualitative interviews.The conclusions I have drawn from this investigation are that computer and videogames affects teenagers both physically and mentally. Physically the affects of playing videogames mostly can be derived to the physical inactivity they expose themselves to. The students themselves did not experienced any positive physical affects from their playing.Amongst the mental affects that stood out the most I recognized the social training that online gaming provided and also the intellectual stimulation that certain games offered the player.

The companyhas changed printing ink quality and wants to evaluate how the present ICC-profile work with the new printingink. Four different ICC-profiles were included in the comparison.One test printing was accomplished with two different separations. Two new ICC-profile was created, as a comparingmaterial. An densitometer was used to measure the technical parameters of the printing.

The aim of this examination project was to work with the processof making a pattern collection for fabrics. I wanted to see how far I dared to go inmatter of colours as well as how the patterns would be visuallyexperienced if I for example reduced one colour or replaced itwith the opposite colour.I thought it was inspiring to work with traditional techniqueswith the colours. It was only positive that part of the patternstory telling was developed in an unpredicted direction duringthe scetching phase.

I detta arbete har elevers dialoger under, och åsikter om, laborationsarbete i kemi i grundskolans år 8 analyserats med hjälp av epistemologiska drag. Metoden som beskrivs i denna uppsats kan användas för analys av elevernas dialoger, till exempel för att fastställa kriterier för en lämplig gruppindelning. Resultaten tyder på att läraren bör styra valet av elevens labb-partner.Mina resultat pekar på att eleverna skapar större del av sin förståelse i dialogen med sin labb-partner och inte i dialog med läraren. Eleverna själva rankar dock betydelsen av en labb-partner förhållandevis lågt och så även betydelsen av läroboken och laborationen för sin förståelse. De prioriterar däremot sina tidigare erfarenheter högt när det gäller att förstå en naturvetenskaplig egenskap.Eleverna verkar ha svårt att inlemma vardagliga begrepp i naturvetenskapliga sammanhang, vilket då kan medföra att det är läraren som måste visa eleverna att vardagliga begrepp har sin plats och relevans även inom naturvetenskapen.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att beskriva och analysera hur 60-talister samt 90-talister använder sig av Instagram samt hur de ser på online-identitet. De frågeställningar som vi utgått från är: ?Hur liknar samt skiljer sig användandet av Instagram mellan människor födda på 1960-talet mot de födda på 1990-talet??, ?Om och i så fall hur skiljer användarna mellan sin online-identitet och de personer de är i det verkliga livet??, och ?Hur liknar samt skiljer sig skapandet av en online-identitet mellan 1960-talister respektive 1990-talister?? Vi valde att använda oss av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Till teorin valde vi att utgå ifrån ?Youth, identity, and digital media? av David Buckingham, ?Modernitet och självidentitet? av Anthony Giddens, ?Jaget och maskerna? av Erving Goffman, ?Mediekultur, mediesamhälle? av Jostein Gripsrud, ?A networked self? av Zizi Papacharissi samt ?Life on the screen? av Sherry Turkle. Resultatet pekar på att det inte är så stor skillnad i identitetsskapande mellan generationerna, vi såg snarare fler likheter.

Uppgradering av robotsystem på Termisk sprutning, Volvo Aero

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Bovine milk is an excellent source of bioactive peptides. The bioactive peptides are in an inactive state in the protein and are released during enzymatic activity, e.g. during cheese ripening. Specific properties of bioactive peptides from ripened cheese has been reported, e.g. antihypertensive, antioxidative, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory and mineral binding.
