This thesis applies a discourse theoretical approach in order to examine in whatways and with what possible meanings the library at KVINFO participates in the overall gender discourse in society. This means that our reading takes place at a metatheoretical level, focussing on the library as a constructor of meaning in relation to society's gender discourse.Besides the actual reading, the thesis argues for the fruitfulness of using both a discourse theoretical and a feministic perspective in the field of Library and Information Science. By looking at libraries in general through a lens provided by these perspectives, libraries are staged as battlegrounds for competing discourses,that attempt to promote its particular knowledge claim on how reality should be perceived.The reading shows that it is possible to perceive the library at KVINFO as amaterial articulation that takes shape by and is part in a feministic counterdiscourse against the masculinistic hegemonic discourse, which throughout ?hisstory? has positioned women as ?the other?, and established men as the normative category in society, including the libraries. Through its practise KVINFO has contributed to a change in the collective identity ascribed to women.

I denna dag börjar många spelutbildningar växa fram i hela landet, så som i Karlshamn, Visby och Kramfors. Trots denna tillväxt finns det nästan ingen akademisk forskning i ämnet speldesign. Detta gör att hjulet i många fall tvingas återuppfinnas om och om igen. I detta kandidatarbete är huvuddiskussionen hur man designar ett spel innehållande både spelfrihet och en färdig berättelse, vilket är en konflikt i sig. Vi försöker identifiera kärnan av ett spels design genom att samarbeta med både användare och designers av digital underhållning och sätta detta i relation till de studier av spel vi gjort.

This study was a degree in Master of Science in agriculture with specialization in animal science for the Department of animal nutrition and management at SLU. The subject was created by AS-Faktor, a small company for science and development within the company Lantmännen AB. It was a test of the effect of SPC (Special Processed Cereals) on induction of the endogenous protein AF (an antisecretory factor) in plasma and intestinal lumen in broilers. Previous results have shown positive effects on different intestinal diseases in pigs, horses, dogs as well as in humans. What areas are included in the concept of important changes, according to legal framework and case law? How extensive is in fact the employer?s obligation to negotiate? The purpose of this report has been to seek answers to the above-mentioned questions, through partly describing how the employer?s obligation to negotiate has developed, and partly describing how the codes of negotiations in the Employment (Co-Determination in the Workplace) Act of 1976 are raised and applied.

The award-winning Norwegian novelist Karl Ove Knausgård achieved great success with his latest book, Min kamp. Both commercially and critically, the novel was praised for its seemingly successful attempt to transcend the boundary between fiction and real life. Focusing on the auto-fictional narrator?s struggle to balance his daily life with his ever so demanding aesthetic ambitions, the novel gives high-detail descriptions of the most basic day-to-day chores, intimately mixed with philosophical reflections on topics such as painting, literature and postmodern civilisation.This essay proposes an alternative perspective on the realism of the novel. Instead of relying on a correspondence theoretical view, which highlights the level of correspondence of a particular representation with reality, I seek, inspired by Martin Heidegger?s thoughts on works of art, to trace a poetics which sees the verity in a work of art as the ?unconcealment? of the world, or the coming-to-being of objects.

Denna undersökning syftar till att undersöka och utvärdera den agila projektmetodiken med inriktning på Scrum. Vattenfallsmetoden berörs även med avsikt att tjäna som kontrast till agil projektmetodik och Scrum. Att arbeta utefter en specifik projektmetod eller anamma ett agilt förhållningssätt kan bidra till att rätt produkt utvecklas och att undvika att projektet misslyckas. Undersökningen baseras på tre grundpelare; litteraturstudie, intervjuer och undersökning av befintliga studier. Dessa ligger till grund för de resultat som presenteras och diskuteras i uppsatsen med avsikt att kartlägga förekommande fenomen i projekt bedrivna efter en agil metod. I uppsatsen redogörs för och diskuteras resultatet av bedrivna intervjuer med personer i IT-branschen samt resultatet av befintliga studier utförda på bland annat Microsoft och Adobe Systems.

The aim of this essay is to examine three separate Swedish public libraries and their respective websites on the grounds of the usability sciences. I firstly had to summarize the main properties of the usability-field in order to gain an extended knowledge of its purposes and possible usage for today?s library systems. I was then able to apply the extended knowledge in the examination of the three library websites and the purpose of determining whether or not they were designed according to the standards set by the usability-sciences.Usability is a rather new science that deals with the dissection and examination of computer-based systems, in order to find the key components that make systems user-friendlier. With user needs being the main focus of its research, usability tries to meet all the different needs of the modern user and construct systems that are less system-centered and more user-centered.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the relationship between the definition and bibliographical classification of a certain academic subject; social anthropology. The theoretical framework consists of views held in Information Science regarding the definition and classification of subjects. The methodological onset is based on hermeneutical concepts that allow an extended analysis of abstract structures of thought. This analysis comprises of two parts; a descriptive analysis and a comparative analysis. The result of the descriptive analysis, whose aim is to describe the academic subject social anthropology, shows that this is not easy to define, instead it is nowadays almost the same as cultural anthropology.

Abuse of alcohol is one of the biggest problems that society faces today. There are between three and four hundred thousand abusers in Sweden. In addition there are about three hundred thousand over consumers. The government bill proposed in 1977 gave the labour market most of the responsibility to solve the problem. They thought a meaningful job and a spirit of community were the most important factors to decrease abuse of alcohol and social rejection.

Democracy is now a legitimate claim not only in the society but even in the classrooms. According to the 1994 Curriculum for the Non-Compulsory School System, Lpf 94 in Sweden, are all pupils in all types of schools ought to have a high level of possibilities to be able to influence their education. But many studies have led to unsatisfactory results about the actual situation in schools. Swedish students are critical of the limited opportunities they have in influencing their own learning process. De senaste månadernas ekonomiska kriser över världen har dessutom lett till att många sägs upp från sina arbetsplatser, men vad händer med dem som blir kvar på arbetsplatsen? Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om konsekvenserna av uppsägning på grund av arbetsbrist blir ett arbetsmiljöproblem för de anställda som blir kvar på en arbetsplats efter en massuppsägning. Anledningen till att jag har valt att skriva den här uppsatsen är att jag är intresserad av frågor om arbetsmiljö och hur anställda påverkas av en ökad arbetsbelastning och vilka faktorer som påverkar den psykosociala arbetsmiljön.
