Nästan en femtedel av den svenska befolkningen är 65 år eller äldre. Debatter kring privatisering av offentlig vård har aktualiserat frågan om likheter och skillnader mellan offentlig och privat verksamhet. Få undersökningar har gjorts av arbetsledarnas situation, trots att det är de som har verksamhetsansvaret. Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka om det finns några skillnader i befogenheter mellan arbetsledare på servicehus i offentlig och privat sektor, med fokus på de formella befogenheterna. Vi har gjort fallstudier av fyra servicehus i Stockholm.

This Masters thesis in Library and Information Science has the title The New Information Desks at Malmö Public Library . During the rebuilding of the library in Malmö a new information desk was developed. This desk differs to a great extent from conventional information desks used in libraries. The information desk is triangular with rounded edges which allows the librarian and the user of the library to work side by side without any physical barriers. The aim of this thesis is to explore the requirements for the information desks formulated by the library and how they are perceived by the librarians and the users of the library.

Denna uppsats syftar till att utreda de förutsättningar under vilka upphovsrättsorganisationers aktiviteter utgör missbruk av dominerande ställning. Uppsatsen bygger på en analys av samtliga rättsfall från högsta instansen på både nationell och EU nivå. Kommentarer till dessa rättsfall från både svenska och utländska rättsvetenskapsmän utgör ett annat viktigt material. Vad gäller lag och förarbeten, står Konkurrenslagen, EG-fördraget och Upphovsrättslagen med tillkommande förarbeten i centrum. Det finns ingen gemenskam EU-upphovsrätt.

The military conflicts of the early 21st century have seen the introduction and rise of a new military technology: the armed drone. With the United States acting as the driving force behind this technological advancement, the U.S Air Force and intelligence agency CIA have madedrones their weapon of choice for pursuing suspected terrorists and insurgents in various remotelocations. American military leaders and policy makers assert that the armed drone?s high levelof accuracy make it the best available weapons platform for this task. However, new researchshows that the use of drones may result in more civilian casualties than previously thought, andmay in fact be more fallible than conventional aircraft in this respect.

In a web environment the library and the librarian continue to function in their role as information provider even when the physical library is closed. Research question is to describe how and in what extent the public libraries websites are integrated in their daily activity and what the causes are for that. The empirical material consists of a survey of number of public libraries websites and qualitative interviews with responsible librarians. I have delimited the study by only investigating the websites of Gothenburg public libraries. In my survey of the websites I have studied four spheres; Services, Contact, Structure and General viewpoints.

An increasing amount of companies and organizations are starting to implement the use of cloud computing in their business. This trend results in that software, which was previously sold and distributed to the customers whom then had to install the software on their own computers, now is being replaced with Software as a Service (SaaS). SaaS makes software available through the customers? browsers, which results in that the service providers only have to administer a single application. The process to migrate a distributed application to a service delivered as a SaaS lacks sufficient investigation; this paper will provide some guidelines for conducting such a pro- cess.

I mitt examensarbete har jag haft för avsikt att undersöka metoder för att modellera lågpolygonkaraktärer för datorspel. Som min metod valde jag att delvis studera karaktärsmodeller från ett antal olika spel från etablerade spelföretag. Med olika programvaror har jag kunnat plocka ut modeller från spelen för att kunna granska dem under förstorningsglas.Med hjälp av samma program gjorde jag också en kort statistisk sammanställning över hur många polygoner som används för olika karaktärer i olika spel. Detta var i avseendet att få en uppfattning om vad som räknas som lågpolygonmodeller. Vad jag kom fram till här var att det inte finns en klar och tydlig definition av vad som räknas som lågpolygonmodell.

Theyappeared almost at the same time, at the totally different places of the earth, with a completely different message and underthe rule of the British colonial power. The aim of the study is to compare the both religious figures, Mirza Ghulam Ahmadfrom India and Muhammad Ahmad from Sudan regarding their different messages, to illustrate the social, political andreligious factors that lead to the entirely different profile and image of these two men and how their organizations havedeveloped after their death up till today.

The aim of this two years master´s thesis is to examine discourses about electronic books in relation to libraries that occur in the Swedish library journal Biblioteksbladet by using critical discourse analysis (CDA). The thesis also aims to discuss changes in the discourse practice, and discuss the relationship between discourse practice and social practice in the field of library and information science (LIS). A main point of CDA is that language is a form of social practice that helps shape social reality. Furthermore the concept of ideology, as understood with-in CDA, brings understanding to the way discursive events help reproduce and transform social relations of pow-er. The text samples span from 2005 up to and including 2011 and were examined by using Norman Fairclough´s three-dimensional conception of discourse, which allows for interpretation of text on a linguistic, discursive and social level.The result of the analysis showed that there are several different discourses about electronic books and li-braries, none of which can be said to be particularly representative.

Aim: To describe perceptions about written and verbal information regarding diet and physical activity in women with breast cancer and to study possible differences between ages and perception. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted and consisted of 57 women with breast cancer stages I-III who started adjuvant chemotherapy within a year (2007-2008). A questionnaire, regarding their perceptions about the written and verbal information they had received about diet and physical activity, was responded to three months following treatment completion. Between 67-93 % of the participants responded to the questions. The answers was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-test.

Denna uppsats har för avsikt att undersöka huruvida det androgyna modet sker på lika premisser för män respektive kvinnor. Genom en semiotisk analys av det androgyna modet i tre science fictionfilmer förs en diskussion om det androgyna modets premisser kopplat till könsstereotypa uppfattningar om det manliga respektive kvinnliga modet. Då det androgyna uppstår i gränslandet mellan vad som är manligt och vad som är kvinnligt, och då samtliga klädedräkter uppvisar en tydlig dragning åt ett visst köns silhuetter så ägnas en stor del av uppsatsen åt att analysera karaktärernas blickar och positioner för att se vart det androgyna uppstår, och därmed också kunna besvara om det sker på lika premisser. Science fictiongenren som är en genre som erbjuder sin upphovsmakare fria tyglar att skapa den värld hen vill, och som erbjuder en möjlighet att applicera reella maktstrukturer på en imaginär värld ifrågasätts här för sitt sätt att trots detta tendera att falla in i stereotypa föreställningar om hur kön representeras och presenteras i klädedräkt och positioner.  Uppsatsen fastställer att det androgyna inte sker på lika premisser för män respektive kvinnor, utan visar att kvinnor i större utsträckning ikläds manliga klädedräkter, medan männen snarare ikläds kvinnliga egenskaper, det vill säga ges feminiserande drag. Detta leder i förlängningen till att det androgyna modet tenderar att osynliggöra det kvinnliga modeidealet, och tillika cementera stereotypa föreställningar om vilken klädedräkt männen tillåts bära eller ej..

Syfte och frågeställningSyftet med studien är att undersöka hur positiv feedback påverkar passningsspel inom fotboll.Frågeställningar: -          Ökar antalet passningar i en matchsituation om spelarna får positiv feedback i samband med passningar?-          Ökar antalet mål i samband med en ökning av passningar? MetodStudien kommer vara av en kvantitativ ansats. Författaren kommer observera ett bestämt beteende som han sedan för ner till statistik. Passningsspelet samt antalet mål kommer att observeras.  Fyra lag med fem spelare i vardera lag kommer att observeras under åtta matcher för vardera lag, varav deltagarna i fyra matcher kommer erhålla positiv feedback för varje pass. Detta kommer vara en cross-over studie där två lag får positiv feedback för lyckad passning under tillfälle ett, medan de resterande två lagen får positiv feedback för lyckad passning under tillfälle två.

Lilja, C & Svensson, K. Omvårdnad vid neutropeni orsakat av cytostatika. En litteraturstudie. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 15 högskolepoäng. Neutropeni är en allvarlig komplikation hos patienter som behandlas med cytostatika och är förenat med risk för vårdrelaterade infektioner och sepsis som kan vara livshotande.
