Based on widespread public debate prior to Swedish EMU-referendum 2003, the main purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyze the standpoint of the Swedish parliamentary parties in the EMU-issue, from perspektive of the following questions;1) What is the official standpoint of the parliamentary parties in the EMU-issue?2) What claimed effects of a Swedish EMU-membership or non-membership have the parties presented?3) What rifts can be found within the parties, in relation to their official standpoint in the EMU-issue?The Sweidish parliamentary parties´ standpoint in the EMU-issue will be analyze from the point of view of a number of current theories. These theories are basically democrazy theories that all have transnationalization and Europeanization as a common ground.The conclusions are, among others, that the parliamentary parties` standpoints in the EMU-issue are based on ideological values about whether or not a Swedish EMU-membership is good for Sweden. The Liberal Party, the Christian Democrats, the Moderate Party and the Social Party have a positive view on EMU and a deeper European integration, and basically value the economic efficency of the EMU higher than democratic decision making and a national currency and monetary policy. As for the EMU-critical parties such as the Centre Party, the Green Party and the Left Party, their view in the EMU-issue can be regarded as more nationalistic, since they say no to an exapanded financial cooperation.

The purpose of this study is to determine whether or not there has been a change in the use of democratic values in textbooks in social science for classes 4-6. The focus lies on democratic values from two different theoretical perspectives, Dahl?s theory of democracy and Habermas deliberative democracy. The method used is a text analysis based on a model made by Lennart Hellspong. The material we?ve analysed consists of four textbooks in social science from different decades, with a range from 1981 until today.

Bakgrund: Telefonrådgivning är en stor del av distriktssköterskans arbete på en hälsocentral. Arbetet innebär att bedöma, hänvisa, ge råd och stöd, samt utföra omvårdnad. Distriktssköterskan måste anpassa sitt arbete och sina beslut efter ekonomiska, tekniska, organisatoriska och vetenskapliga aspekter.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa distriktssköterskors erfarenheter av att arbeta med telefonrådgivning på en hälsocentral.Metod: En kvalitativ deskriptiv metod användes. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med tio distriktssköterskor från sex olika hälsocentraler. Intervjuerna analyserades med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Vid analysen framkom sex huvudkategorier; ett professionellt bemötande är viktigt för patienterna, organisation och struktur är avgörande för arbetet, arbetsmiljön påverkar arbetet på olika sätt, kollegialt samarbete på arbetsplatsen är betydelsefullt, några områden kan förbättras, svårigheter och utmaningar finns i arbetet.

Trots att marknaderna idag blir mer globaliserade, är klusterbegreppet fortfarande aktuellt. Som exempel på områden som kännetecknas av starka länkar mellan företagen kan Silicon Valley och Sophia-Antipolis nämnas, även kända som ?Industriella Hollywoods?.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera interaktioner mellan aktörer inom ett lokalt ?Industriellt Hollywood? ? Mjärdevi Science Park. Hur förhåller sig aktörerna till fördelar med att befinna sig inom ett närområde, i hur stor utsträckning utnyttjas dessa agglomerationsmöjligheter och varför?Metod: Denna studie är baserad på djupintervjuer med sexton företagsrepresentanter från Mjärdevi Science Park och en professor från Linköpings Universitet.Resultat: Aktörerna verkar vara medvetna om vilka agglomerationsfördelar som föreligger, dock utnyttjas dessa inte i någon större utsträckning.

Denna studie kartlägger systemvetenskaplig kurslitteratur som används på svenska universitet.Utifrån denna kartläggning har en ordsökning med syfte att ge en indikation på genuspartiskhet itext sedan utförts. Detta har gjorts med hjälp av programvaran Hamlet II, ordlistor medgenuspartiska och genusneutrala ord samt ord för att beteckna generiska personer inom IT. What drove me to write this paper is the will to  examine if there is a philosophically and scientifically viable  alternative foundation for an objective morality other than what we like to refer to as "God". The  American philosopher and neuroscientist Sam Harris presents in his book The Moral Landscape a thesis for an objective morality based on science in which he states that  science can determine human values. The purpose of this paper is to perform a theoretical trial of The Moral Landscape, examining Harris' thesis and it's relations to the philosophical obstacles that stands in its way, these being mainly the famous philosophical principle "Hume's Law" and G.E. Moore's "Naturalistic Fallacy and Open Question Argument" and thus will serve as my main theoretical foundation. The results of my study was not conclusive since Harris in fact doesn't succeed in bridging the gap between facts and values on a scientific ground.

The aim is first to identify concept of citizenship and the dimensions of the same, in the political science theory, which can be crucial, to that a citizenship may be found available for people who have a cognitive delay. Thereafter examine the prevalence and significance of these, in policy documents from two different organizational forms, through an analysis, in the form of a discussion, on the basis of political science theories in the field. The study's aim in a reflective way, highlighting key requirements for an accessible citizenship for the target audience, and thereby clarify the priorities in daily activities that can support an emancipatory citizenship process for people who have a cognitive delay..

Today?s cell phones include more and more functionality, it is no longer uncommon to be able to connect to the Internet or take photos with the cell phone. In this thesis the question is if the cell phone users are interested in this new functionality. Are there people who are interested in a cell phone that in this thesis is called ?Basmobilen? (the entry level phone), which include the following functions; phone call, SMS, phone book, calling lists, clock and the possibility to change the call signal.

Syftet med det här arbetet är att utforska och undersöka om färg påverkar hur en miljö uppfattas. Miljön arbetet fokuserar på är placerad inom science fictiongenren. I konceptteckning för spelproduktion tecknas eller målas koncepten ofta gråskala för att sedan testas i olika färgkombinationer. Samma process och samma tekniker används vid framställande av bilden som är i fokus för undersökningen. För att framställa bilden gjordes studier på existerande science fictionkoncept och bilden arbetades fram via en iterativ process.Undersökningen genomfördes i form av en strukturerad intervju där tio studerande vid dataspelsutvecklingsprogrammet på Högskolan i Skövde medverkade.

This thesis deals with a Swedish shopping centre, NOVA, from a phenomenological point of view. Starting in my own experience of the architecture I discuss issues such as gender, consumerism and the image of the ideal society, the Heterotopia, as they appear to me in my studies of the building.Divided into three different themes I then discuss the aspects I?ve found through my meeting with the architecture in comparison to a number of texts on the subject.My phenomenological analysis, combined with earlier research, presents to me a number of aspects more evident than others, as I do my own interpretation of the building and its architecture..

Recently, there have been intense discussions about the humanities and their role in society. Internationally, as well as in a Swedish context, the humanities have been regarded to be in a state of crisis. However, these discussions usually demonstrate a lack of historical perspectives based on thorough empirical research. The notion of a crisis needs to be historicized.In this study, a case is being examined where the relationship between science and society was renegotiated. In the context of World War II, a discourse has been identified in a borderland between science and politics through an analysis of Swedish journals and anthologies during the time period 1937-1947.
