Religionens många ansikten : En undersökning av skillnaderna i undervisningarna av kristendom inom syrisk-ortodoxa kyrkor och svenska skolor samt hur skillnaderna påverkar de syrisk-ortodoxa ungdomarna.
Religious education in Swedish Schools aims to be as objective and non-confessional as possible. This sort of education can lead to that the different religions are presented in a way which is unfamiliar to the followers of the different religions. This problem is what I have focused on in this essay since I myself was a victim of a similar situation. As a syriac-orthodox youth I felt that my Christianity was not the same as the one presented in school. I felt that it had nothing in common with what I learned in my church, therefore I asked myself the question: Whose Christianity is being represented? Therefore I have focused on the syriac-orthodox church in this research.The purpose of my essay was to enlighten the differences between religious education in syriac-orthodox churches and Swedish community Schools.
Nyanlända flykting- och invandrarbarns skolintroduktion : En jämförande studie om två skolors arbetssätt
The objective with this study is to investigate the school introduction of newly arrived students, by focusing on the latter years of high school, by comparing two Schools method of working.This was done by a qualitative survey based on half structured interviews and existing school documentation.The questions of the study targeted the Schools method of working, how well the education was adapted to the students and if it was appropriate to them. We also asked about the school resources to meet the need of the newly arrived students. Our theoretical assumptions were based on Haugs? terms ?including integration? and ?excluding integration?, Lahdenperäs? theory about intercultural education, Vygotskijs thoughts about adapted education and finally Blossings? description of different cooperative cultures. Our results showed that school introduction for newly arrived students were formed from the Schools? view on learning development and adapted education.

The climate issue is a significant question, and the problem is mainly caused by human activities. Everyone can help to counteract the enhanced Greenhouse effect by reducing the amounts of energy they use and by not consuming more products then they need.Schools are some of societies many consumers and therefore contribute to the Greenhouse effect. The School also has an important task; to teach and disseminate knowledge and information about the climate and the environment. According to the Swedish National Agency for Education, Skolverket, must all Schools regularly consider the environment and sustainable development throughout the entire education process. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many Schools in Sweden today.One of many tools that can be used to coordinate environmental work and initiatives, and also to make it more efficient, is environmental management systems.

This paper examines pupils? conception of the Swedish Schools constitutive values expressed in the Swedish curriculum. The main question was, at to what extent the Schools constitutive values have influenced the pupils conception of their own values. That question problematizes the relation between values, constructed and carried by central administration, and their interpretation at local level by pupils. The study was conducted with qualitative analysis which included qualitative interviews with seven pupils in the last year of the Swedish school system.
"Jag såg att du såg" : En studie om lärares och skolkuratorers upplevelser och uppfattningar om självskadebeteende.
The aim of this study was trough qualitative interviews with teachers and counsellors in Swedish Schools, to study their experiences and perceptions of non suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents. During the study three teachers and three counsellors who worked in four different Schools were conducted. The theoretical approach that was used is Michael Polanyis theory tacit knowledge. The outcome of the study was that Schools did not seem to talk about NSSI as a problem and the teachers knowledge about it had come from own experiences meeting adolescents whit NSSI. The interviewed teachers and counsellors felt it hard to define NSSI, they mainly referred it to someone who cut themselves.

SUMMARYThe riding school horse is the base for the riding school. Riding Schools are looking for a suitable horse that meets their demands for exterior, age, education, temperament, price and sustainability. Many different aspects may define the sustainability of the riding school horse; of them is how long life the riding school horse has in riding school activity. Previous studies have shown that the riding Schools requirements are 8-12 years life span in the riding school.The purpose of this study was to describe the Swedish riding school horse life span in riding Schools and at what age the riding school horses were recruited, disposed and the reasons for disposal. Information about the riding school horse life span in riding Schools and reasons for disposal can provide important understanding regarding the importance of health for the riding school horse, riding school economy and profitability in the riding school.
En insyn i waldorfskolan : en kvalitativ studie av fyra lärares syn på sin egen undervisning
Background: The Waldorf school was founded by Rudolf Steiner during the early nineties in Austria. The pedagogy is established in the antrophosofical sight of humanity, which contains focus on three watchwords when it comes to teaching. These are the will, the feeling and the thought. Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate how teachers in three Waldorf Schools are working during to the curriculum and to bring out the differences and the similarities with the municipal school. This essay is focusing on four themes and theories; artistic learning processes, gender, multimedia and environment.Method: In order to investigate this kind of teaching I choose interviewing as a method, specifically semi structured interviews. Four teachers at three different Schools in Stockholm county was interviewed.

This study is about what teachers in primary Schools say that they are doing to create a school for all.The purpose of this study is to find out what teachers in primary Schools say that they do on their mission to create a school for everyone and how they organize teaching to achieve this. The study was conducted as an interview of five teachers from elementary school of different gender and with a qualitative method because it provides a great opportunity to problematize, interpret and understand the responses of the interviewees.The results show that all the teachers think that their mission is to teach so that they can give each student what they need to achieve the goals. This may not be every day but over time, they hope that all students feel that they get so much of the teacher's time that they need..
Likabehandlingsplanen, ett verktyg för skolan, och skolans arbete för att motverka mobbning
The purpose of this study was to show how two Schools from a municipality in greater Stockholm work with a document called "likabehandlingsplan", literally ?plan for equal treatment?. This document is required by law in Swedish Schools and a part of each municipality?s program. The goal of the study was to see how teachers and school principals view and work with the plan as a part of their work in preventing discrimination and offensive behavior, in particular in dealing with problems with bullying. The two Schools? plans were compared for similarities and differences and how they chose to follow the municipality?s guidelines was examined.

This work studied the information flow and information handling among different parties. The study focused on how educational materials on national tests from The Swedish National Agency for Education is managed by school principals and teachers and how the information is passed on to students. The data material was based on observations and interviews at two different high Schools. Six teachers and their classes and principals participated in the study. The Agency was also interviewed.

The teachers? views of the pupils have had an influence of how the special education process is designed. The aim with my paper is to make a comparative study of how special education teachers in rural Schools and Schools in Stockholm have designed their work with pupils with needs of special support.
Elevers uppfattningar av vad man bör uppnå efter avslutad kurs i Idrott och Hälsa A : En studie av två gymnasieskolor i årskurs 2 ? ett elevperspektiv
The purpose of this work is to see if the students, on two separate high Schools, understand what skills you should achieve after completing the course in physical education and health A 100 points. The entire study is based on a student perspective. In order to best answer the purpose, the questionnaire used in the "available groups" in Schools. The questions for the work are: To what extent and how students perceive what they should achieve after completing the course in Sport and Health A?, Which is the goal, based on the curriculum in Physical Education, that students feel are important to achieve? and how do a comparison like between these two Schools on the basis of what students perceive that they must achieve in Sport and Health A?The result shows that the main goal that finds support in the course objectives is an assertion; Has knowledge of what to eat to maintain or improve health, which over 90% of students had checked in.
Mobbning i det moderna samhället : Sju kuratorers upplevelser av högstadieskolors arbete och ansvarstagande i mobbningsfrågan.
The aim of this study was to increase our understanding of how secondary Schools handle the different forms of bullying in different arenas. The questions we were asking us was how Schools work to prevent and treat against bullying based on plans of action, how the Schools are responsible in the bullying issues and how the Schools and welfare officers have taken account of sex linkage in bullying issues. Our study is based on the result from seven qualitative semi- structured interviews with secondary school welfare officers in Sweden. The study results show that traditional form of bullying takes place through verbal assault, physical violence, ostracism and glances. Welfare officers coincide that there are gender differences in the approach of bullying.
