This is the project of making a stage design for Batboy ? the musical, a cooporation with a network of musical artists. The aim of the project was to create a space on stage that strengthens and expands the experience of the story told, and find design solutions that give an extra dimension to the story. The prerequisites for my work were partly defined from the produc¬tion, as were my limitations. In the cast of ten artists some were to play more than one role, often one of the opposite sex.

This thesis investigates the communicative role of scenography in the performing arts for children, with an aim to make the readers understand the ways in which a set design can be optimized so that a young audience can be able to interpret the play and its message.The art of scenography is complex and includes many elements. The research questions can therefore be grouped into three clusters: one artistic oriented (How does the scenographic process work and what is its relation to the scenic piece at large? In which ways may scenography be used to support the desiderate interpretation?), one audience oriented (Which work processes enhances the chances of creating dramatic art that is perceived as meaningful to the audience? On what premises can the semiotics of theatre be used in the performing arts for a young audience?) and last a cluster that focuses on Den magiska cirkeln (The Magic Circle) by ung scen/öst (What is told in the show and how is this portrayed in the scenography? Who is in the target group, and does the audience get the feeling of the performance as intended?).Den magiska cirkeln is used as a case study in the thesis in order to reflect the theoretical material. Methods in the case study includes performance analysis, a survey completed by 178 people in the audience and an interview with scenographer Anna Dolata. 14 performing analyzes of Swedish children?s theatre shows have been made in addition to the case study.The thesis analyses and compares two work logics; the internal logic and the external logic, and it is shown that meaningful interpretations are likelier to happen with an external logical point of view.

Sättet man skriver recensioner på är väldigt fritt, det finns egentligen inga regler. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att studera hur olika teaterrecensioner är uppbyggda ? vad som står, på vilket sätt man skrivit och i vilken utsträckning man diskuterar olika element. Tidigare studier som granskat recensioner i Stockholms dagspress mellan 1890 och 1941 har påvisat att det är skådespelarna och handlingsreferaten som får den största platsen i recensionstexterna, och det finns indicier som tyder på att recensionerna som skrivs och publiceras idag inte ändrats särskilt mycket jämfört med dem som skrevs för hundra år sedan. Det är vad som ska undersökas och benas ut i den här studien.

The shopping mall is a reflection of the city and its habitants, a concentrate of the modern city. I have studied the dialogues of malls and the communication within, how malls are put together and what they communicate. The city is constantly changing. As soon as we try to grasp the city, it slips away. My opinion is that city planners and landscape architects need to widen their views. City planning needs to develop to better fit to the changes of our modern cities.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att diskutera vilken delaktighet RATS Teater erbjuder sin publik i mobiltelefondramat Antigones dagbok och vidare visa på hur publiken förvaltar denna delaktighet under föreställningstillfället.I uppsatsens första del görs en semiotisk tolkning av föreställningens visuella och audiella teckengrupper. I uppsatsens andra del görs en receptionsstudie med den unga publiken. Förutom observationer och intervjuer återfinns en analys av det textmaterial som publiken får möjlighet att skapa under föreställningstillfället.I uppsatsens teoridiskussion redogör jag för delaktighetsbegreppets mångfacetterade innehåll och funktion. Detta är nödvändigt för visa på begreppets variationer beroende på i vilken forskningskontext det används och vidare för att ringa in på vilket sätt begreppet delaktighet diskuteras i relation till uppsättningen.Antigones dagbok är utformad som en applikation för smartphones och kan beskrivas som gps-styrd radioteater i offentlig miljö. Ljudfiler spelas upp när publiken närmar sig de i förväg bestämda spelplatserna.

Radioteatern har utgjort en stor del av Ingmar Bergmans skapande under hela hans mer än 60-åriga karriär. Han har sedan tidigt arbetat parallellt med teater, film och radioteater och hans plan var även att avsluta hela sin verksamhet i detta medium.Bergmans radioteaterarbete har utgjort ett alldels eget skapande med egna regler, förutsättningar och möjligheter. Det täcks inte in av film- eller teaterforskningen utan står på egna ben. Om detta vittnar bland annat det faktum att Bergman i radio arbetar med helt andra dramer och dramatiker än han gör på teaterscenen. Det som lämpar sig för det ena mediet lämpar sig kanske inte alls för det andra och när han arbetar med dramer av t.ex.
