Arbetets syfte är att undersöka berättelseformer i datorspel baserade på tillämpningen av Sceneri, avgränsat till spelarens uppfattning av tid och plats. Utifrån de svårigheter som förknippas med framställningen av naturligt förfall och framställningen av teknologiska möjligheter har två hypoteser formulerats; då att spelaren främst skapar sig en uppfattning om spelets tidsperiod utifrån upplevt artificiella objekt, samt att spelaren främst skapar sig en uppfattning om spelets verklighetsförankring utifrån spelets miljö. För undersökningens syfte har en virtuell miljö framställts i tre olika versioner, de två första avsedda att testa arbetets hypoteser avskilt, den senare avsedd att testa båda i samma miljö. Undersökningen har skett genom testspelning av dessa av totalt 30 testdeltagare. Undersökningens resultat styrker arbetets hypoteser, då den första i högre grad än den andra, men påvisar även svårigheter förknippade med sammanförandet av de metoder som tillämpats..

Thou it´s mainly due to a patient perspective should also nurses' perspectives be significant to obtain a faceted perception of the phenomenon.Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe how nurses perceive the phenomenon of anticipation of a somatic emergency department.Method: The analysis was performed using a phenomenological approach. The study was conducted in a medium-sized hospital in southern Sweden, during the latter part of 2005, and had a qualitative approach based on a lifeworld perspective. Data collection consisted of written stories from twelve nurses.Results: The results indicated that the waiting was the Scene of the expectations. These expectations led to dilemmas, powerlessness and frustration, the more the phenomenon was allowed to stand.

Some of the leading members used to belong to the Mondaygroup in the 1940s and brought a will to update and modernise Swedish music with them into Fylkingen. This resulted in a radical change in the concert programs of Fylkingen and a development that lead to the introduction of the music of Karlheinz Stockhausen in Sweden.

The purpose of this study is to find out how Swedish Muslim girls use Facebook and its functions in constructing their Muslim identity on the platform. The study is based on a qualitative method which consists of nine interviews with Swedish Muslim girls between the ages 17-23 and who use Facebook daily.The study is based on the view of Facebook as a Scene where individuals can perform for an audience. I have used Erving Coffman?s dramaturgical perspective that explains why individuals appear in an appropriate manner to achieve confirmation from their audience. I also used theories about identity construction, community and the theory about how individuals create a social presence online.

Thevolume tells the story of Koloni?s work, but also shed some light and understandingon the alternative cultural Scene of today.

Denna uppsats är en narratologisk analys av berättarstrukturen inom filmen Stranger than fiction. Uppsatsen inleder med en terminologi samt en teoridel kring vad som är berättarstruktur. Utifrån detta analyserar jag filmen för att grundläggande redogöra kring hur den är berättad genom att först beskriva filmens totala fabula för att sedan analysera vad som egentligen förmedlas och på så sätt även komma fram till en slutsats kring filmens totala berättarstruktur. Resultatet visar på att Stranger than fiction är berättad genom flertalet olika nivåer som visar på två olika berättare inom två olika diegeser som förmedlas genom samma berättare. Detta resultat leder till en tematisk diskussion ett postmodernt ontologiskt syfte som genom filmens komplicerade narratologiska struktur försöker förmedla budskapet ?lev det liv du vill ha? samt ?livet blir viktigt först när döden gör sig synlig..

This is a study based on discourse theory in purpose to examine the border-politics ofthe EU. Since the EU step by step has developed into an area of free movement on capital, people and services, the external frontiers have been given prioritiy on the political Scene. Development in recent years have put questions of foreign- and security politics on a supranational level, meaning that the EU-member states in a wider range now cooperate in these political areas.To handle the increasing ammount of (illegal) migration to the EU an independet agency, Frontex,was established 2005 in favour of coordinating the Member States in issues regarding bordersecurity. The focal point of this study is to critically examine the identity of Frontex by using Becks theory of risk combined with the theory of governmentality. By doing so I seek to highlight the relation between Frontex and the EU and also that of Frontex mission in relation to illegal immigration.

This essay conducts a descriptive analysis of the ideas expressed by NATO´s official security strategy "Strategic Concept" from 2010 and the European Union?s security strategy "A Secure Europe in a Better World" from 2003. The purpose of this analysis is to examine whether the ESDP and NATO are compatible with each other when it comes to the role of security policy actor. To do so, I´ve chosen to analyse the actors' security strategies based on three dimensions. These dimensions are: Their view of the international Scene, their views on cooperation and their views on how to reach security.

Textbooks are a very influential medium considering the fact that they often introduce students to information they have never read or heard about before, and as such they become very important in forming students? opinions on different matters. In this study I have taken a closer look at five textbooks in history that are currently being used in the Swedish upper secondary school. My aim has been to find out how East Asia is pictured and also how much space East Asian history is given in these textbooks with the postcolonial theory as theoretical basis. My study shows that East Asia is given very little space compared to Europe in these books, with an average of less than a twentieth of the number of pages that deal with European history.

Denna uppsats är en utvecklingsstudie av TV-serien Sex and the city. Syftet är att med hjälp av narrativ analys samt Keith Selbys och Ron Cowderys metoder från boken How to study television studera det första och det sista avsnittet av serien för att därefter undersöka förändringar i avsnittens miljö samt karaktärernas dialog och kläder. Detta med hjälp av teorier om livsstil, subkulturer och mode inom populärkultur. Förändringen från första till sista avsnittet handlar mycket om karaktärernas sätt att se på sin egen livsstil. Huvudfokus i dialog och handling har flyttats från sex till kärlek och de fyra huvudkaraktärerna har alla utvecklats till mognare versioner av sig själva, någots om känns naturligt eftersom serien startade 1998 och avslutades 2004.

Michelangelo Antonioni (1912-2007) belonged to a generation of filmmakers that breathed new life into cinematic expression in the annals of modern-day European film history. By employing his background as a documentary filmmaker, Antonioni used these skills to help establish his own particular style. There was a distinct evolution of style which progressed during his triology L´Avventura, La Notte and L´Eclisse, 1959-1962. This theises presents a comperative study between his earlier films in black and white and his first color film - Il deserto roso, from 1964. By observing color in relation to narrative, dialouge, acting and elements of mise-en-scène, I suggest different answers than those previously discussed among critics concerning this interrelationship.

Poverty among children has received a great deal of attention in the media the past few years. The group in which poverty among children has increased most is among single parents; therefore we have chosen to examine this group in this study. The purpose of this study is to take part in single parents and their children?s experiences of living within a very tight budget and the strategies they use. We found it interesting to put this information in relationship to the consumer society we live in today.
