This is an essay about the political development of Iraq after the overthrow of the Baath regime by the coalition forces in 2003. Almost seven years later, the political scene is still characterised by chaos, even though the country entered a new phase with the adoption of democratic thinking and a new openness to the world. The unstable political situation is a product of inter-ethnic conflict and the interference by neighbouring countries. Iraq is up against two formidable tasks ? building democracy and building a nation.

Vårdsökande från andra kulturer har ofta ett stort behov av omsorg beroende på traumatiska skador och händelser som många bär med sig från sitt hemland förutom det trauma det innebär att bryta upp och fly till ett annat land. Idag och i den framtida yrkesrollen är det distriktssköterskan som möter de flesta vårdsökande från andra kulturer. Syftet med studien var att beskriva distriktssköterskors erfarenheter av att möta vårdsökande från andra kulturer. I studien deltog fem distriktssköterskor från norra Sverige. Data samlades in med semistrukturerade intervjuer som sedan analyserades med en tematisk innehållsanalys.

Epilepsi är ett tillstånd som uppkommer vid okontrollerad elektrisk aktivitet i hjärnan. Personen drabbas av ett så kallat epileptiskt anfall, vilket kan leda till ett frånvarande beteende, förvirring eller medvetslöshet. Orsaker till varför man drabbas av epilepsi kan vara ärrbildningar på hjärnan, yttre skador som slag eller trauma. Epilepsi innebär för många personer en stor förändrad livssituation.Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa upplevelser av att leva med epilepsi samt behovet av stöd. Metoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturstudie som omfattade tolv vetenskapliga artiklar.

In December 22, 2010, the hockey clubs AIK and Djurgården played against each other in front of an audience of more than 11 000 people in Ericsson Globe Arena, Stockholm. Although it was one of the biggest games of the year, afterwards no one was talking about the actual game on the ice. The reason; several times during the game, hooligans from both sides started big quarrels and the hockey dome felt more like a war scene than a place for a hockey game. From a branding point of view, and along with similar incidents from the past, the night in December did not create a good situation for AIK and their image.  Therefore, in this essay I want to investigate how AIK communicated through the crisis. I also want to evaluate whether their communication was good or bad from the perspective of different crisis communication theories.The essay?s research questions are:How did media describe the crisis and AIK´s part in it?What effect did AIK´s previous history of similar problem have on the ongoing crisis?How did AIK communicate through the crisis?How was AIK´s image affected by the crisis?What did AIK do well/what could AIK have done better?To be able to answer these questions, several news articles from the sports paper ?Hockeyexpressen? has been analyzed as well as a text from AIK itself.

Background: Being subjected to an extensive burn injury affects the victim´s physique, social life and its psyche. A burn injury can be determined as a trauma. Burn injuries often make the patient suffer from pain, anxiety and lack of a social life. Sister Callista Roy´s theory was used to analyze the result of the study. One of her goal is to promote the adaptive function of self-perception.

Background: In today's Swedish health care, it is required that the various professionals must work together in teams to safer care. Several professionals with various skills expected working together in the traumateam at the care of the traumapatient. At the same time, research shows that substandard teamwork leads to avoidable errors in care. One way to improve teamwork is to practice. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to shed light on the experiences of the traumateam exercises that exercise participants feel has been favorable for the patient at the initial care of trauma patients.

The essay depicts the opposite views of the director and an actor during the filming of a specific scene in a feature film. The actor feels that he is not being listened to. This leads to unforeseen consequences for the director, as the actor no longer wishes to take part in the marketing of the film prior to its opening night. Everything is seen from the director?s point of view, she is working in a film world dominated by men.Questions are being asked if the director?s instructions are clear enough or if the actor, fearing getting lost, is mixing up his own feelings with those of the character he is portraying? What happens to the collaboration and how does it affect the rest of the team and the completion of the production? The director is also the producer.

I detta examensarbete har vi valt att forska om krigets inverkan på barn vilket blev vår utgångspunkt till syftet. Syftet blev att undersöka vad två pedagoger och en psykolog berättar om krigets inverkan på traumatiserade barn från krig. Vi har i litteraturöversikten presenterat olika faktorer som kan påverka barnens utveckling som exempelvis trauma, posttraumatisk stress och kris. Vi har även valt att presentera olika pedagogiska och psykologiska metoder som visar på hur man kan bearbeta barnens traumatiska upplevelser. Vi valde att intervjua två lärare och en psykolog för att ta del av deras erfarenheter kring arbetet med traumatiserade barn från krig.

This essay is about two Swedish folk musicians, Anders Rosén and Leif Stinnerbom, who have been playing two important rolls in the developing process of Swedish folk music, on their separate ways. The main part of this work is focused on the era called ?The Folk Music Vogue?, which was the era when my informants were in the limelight on the Swedish fiddler scene of the 70s.Our music culture is constantly lying under the change of progress and I find it interesting to reflect how these kinds of changes are affecting the role of the musician.In this essay I am reflecting on the different perspectives of the musicianship according to my informants and how they both are referring to their role as musicians. The purpose is further on to see how they have been relating to the change of progress on the field of the Swedish folk music during the 70s and up to this date. Throughout interviews with the informants I am analyzing their personal relationship to their life as folk musicians.

Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva föräldrars upplevelse kring när deras barn befinner sig i det terminala skedet av svår sjukdom eller trauma, och av den palliativa vård de erhåller. Ett ytterligare syfte var att kvalitetsgranska artiklarna utifrån datainsamlingsmetod. Metod: Den föreliggande litteraturstudien har en beskrivande design. Sökningar gjordes i databaserna PubMed och Cinahl med sökorden child, parent, experience, palliative care och death. Tretton artiklar valdes ut och bearbetades. Huvudresultat: Det framkom att föräldrar upplevde att vägen mot att förlora ett barn var en kaosartad och känsloladdad tid.

Katastrofer/livsavgörande händelser är något som många människor världen över drabbats av. Det är inte bara den enskilda människan som berörs utan alla påverkas. Att vara drabbad av en katastrof kan innebära både fysisk smärta och psykiskt lidande. Sjuksköterskor måste känna till eftereffekter från ett trauma och veta hur de skall bemöta dessa människor på bästa sätt. Studiens teoretiska referensram utgick från omvårdnadsteoretikern Katie Eriksson som skildrar lidandet som något unikt för den enskilda människan.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilken funktion och betydelse kroppen har i första säsongen av CSI: Crime Scenen Investigation (CBS, 2000-). Detta eftersom det kan ge en ökad förståelse för de föreställningar som omgärdar kroppen i vår kultur idag. Författaren gör närläsningar av analysobjektet som relateras till relevant litteratur, såväl som tidigare praktiker och representationer av kroppslighet.I den första delen undersöker författaren vilken roll kroppen spelar i utredningsarbetets sökande efter en säker sanning. Författaren konstaterar att utredarna använder sig av en kroppslig utredningsteknik och att kroppen dessutom ses som en privilegierad form av bevis, vars tillgänglighet ökar med hjälp av obduktionsförfarandet och olika teknologiska hjälpmedel. Vidare ifrågasätter författaren hur långsökta slutsatser om individen dras från kroppen.

Bakgrund: Anestesisjuksköterskans arbete ute på olycksplatsen är många gånger en krävande, avancerad arbetsplats både fysiskt och emotionellt. Anestesisjuksköterskan arbetar väldigt ofta i komplicerade miljöer, med flera aktörer inblandade och mitt i den komplicerade miljön är patienten som är i behov utav anestesisjuksköterskans omvårdnad. Bemötandet ute på olycksplatsen är en viktig del i arbetet och för att kunna nå patienten krävs att aktivt söka kontakt med patienten. Syfte: Att beskriva anestesisjuksköterskans upplevelse av omvårdnadsarbete på olycksplats. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en kvalitativ intervjustudie.
