In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

Sara Stridsberg?s novels Happy Sally, Drömfakulteten and Darling River are all brimming withliterary images of movement and becoming. The physical aspects of being a female subject inbecoming highlights the enfleshed body as important. Themes such as sexuality, power andviolence can be traced in the beautiful but most disturbing narratives of Stridsberg.The purpose of this study is to show the reader how the literary female characters aretranscending the physical borders of their bodies in order to become something more than what thehuman form allows them to be. Heteronormative sexuality, sickness, closeness to water andanimaling are bound together by the way they enact the female characters to stretch beyond thesurfaces of their skins.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze how the Trojan prince Paris is described in the Iliad and in the movie Troy in regard to love and bravery. Thereafter an analysis of the similarities and differences between the Iliad and the movie Troy will be made. There will also be a discussion why there are differences between an epic story which was made for over two thousand years ago and a modern movie made in the twenty-first century. The differences will be based on the perspective ancient Greek culture versus filmmaking of the twenty-first century. Together, theystart to create a world of stories...?We, me and Sara Stiber have made a project in cooperation with the City Libraryof Malmö, where we have been developing a concept for a soon-to-belibrary department for 9-12 year old.

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine posts on bookblogs about the book, Cirkeln by Mats Strandberg and Sara Bergmark Elfgren and see how it has distributed amongst readers through social media and reader response. We want through this examine whether bookblogs have a place in the literary society, and in such cases, how this may take place. The Swedish Online bookshops Adlibris and Bokus is being used to find the blogposts to be examined in this thesis. The analysis is being implemented using content analysis and constructed encoding schemes. Interdisciplinary topics, like LIS and sociology of literature may have similar points of contact, which we want to highlight with this thesis.

Större delen av vårt arbete baseras på en vecka då vår lägenhet blev ett gömställe för Sara, efter att släktingar som hotat henne till livet, ännu en gång hittat henne. Idag är begreppet hedersmord något de flesta känner till. Dock har vi svårt att i den svenska kulturen sammankoppla hedern med mord. I vad grundar sig hedersmord, beror det på religion, kultur eller gamla seder? Vad är bakgrunden till att män dödar kvinnor för att upprätthålla en familjs heder? Vi vill belysa detta ämne och påvisa konsekvenser som drabbar de utsatta.

Sara Lidman?s second novel Hjortronlandet (1955) unfolds in the north of Sweden in the early 20th century. It describes the progress of modernity and the conflicting interests of an old local culture and a new more ?civilised? one. The two cultures are constituted by different value systems and in the novel they are represented by two neighbour communities.

Image indexing research today is either conducted on a visual attribute level or on a higher semantic level, forming a semantic gap between the two. There is much to gain if research progress from the two fields is combined. Image retrieval using access points in both visual and semantic significations could improve retrieval and bridge the gap. In social media today, images are often the primary communication agent and the number of images on the web is increasing in an uncontrolled way. New and efficient ways to index and retrieve the images are needed.The purpose of this study is to examine if emotions could be a semantic access point for image retrieval and if folksonomy indexing is useful when searching for images that represent emotions.

Detta är en kvalitativ studie där vi använder diskursanalys som metod för att undersöka hur media framställer hedersmord och om detta har förändrats över tid. De mest uppmärksammade hedersmorden i Sverige är morden på Maisam Abed Ali (Sara), Pela Atroshi, Fadime Sahindal och Maria Barin Aydin och är föremål för vår granskning. Genom att undersöka de tidningsartiklar som skrevs i samband med morden på Sara, Pela och Fadime, 1996-2002, och jämföra dessa med de artiklar som skrevs efter mordet på Maria, 2012-2013, vill vi identifiera diskursiva skillnader. Vår teoretiska ram består av radikalfeministiskt-, kulturellt- och intersektionellt perspektiv som vi använder för att analysera vårt resultat. Det vi kan konstatera är att det skedde en gradvis skiftning av diskursen under den första perioden, där majoriteten av artiklarna till en början förde en debatt om huruvida hedersmord är kulturellt betingat eller en del av det universella patriarkala våldet.

Studien är genomförd på Ingseredsstiftelsen, vilken finns i Stadsmissionens regi sedan 1988. Ingseredsstiftelsen är ett boende för missbrukare och personer med psykisk ohälsa och tar emot män och kvinnor mellan 20-65 år. Man kan få en plats på boendet genom Lagen om rättspsykiatrisk vård (LRV), Lagen om psykiatrisk tvångsvård (LPT), Lagen om vård av unga (LVU), Lagen om vård av missbrukare (LVM) och Socialtjänstlagen (SoL). Fem av de anställda på boendet arbetar som kontaktpersoner vilka har som huvuduppgifter att följa socialsekreterarens arbetsplan och att göra en genomförandeplan utifrån denna. De ska också ta kontakt med olika myndigheter, hitta anhöriga men också se till att de boendes självförtroende ökar.Studien är kvalitativ och består av totalt åtta intervjuer med boende och personal samt två deltagande observationer.

Inledning: Strukturerade professionella riskbedömningar för våld, vilka inom polisen benämns som riskanalyser, är numera ett krav och en viktig del i det brottsförebyggande arbetet inom polisen i Sverige. Polisen använder i huvudsak tre checklistor för att bedöma risk: Sara: SV, SAM samt PATRIARK, vilka generellt upplevs som praktiskt användbara. Dock är det få polismyndigheter som arbetar aktivt och ändamålsenligt med dessa. Inom Polismyndigheten i Gävleborgs län arbetar personsäkerhetsenheten för att främja tillämpningen av riskanalyserna och vi önskar bidra till att utveckla detta arbete. Syfte: Utifrån polisers upplevelser undersöka förutsättningar för och begränsningar av de strukturerade riskanalysernas tillämpning inom Polismyndigheten i Gävleborgs län.

Syskonbädd, or ?Sibling?s bed? in English, is a short story or drama, written by Swedish author Stina Aronson and originally published in 1931 under the pen name Sara Sand.
