Årligen slutar 30 procent av eleverna gymnasieskolan utan betygsbehörighet. På individuella program (IV) är siffran 85 procent. För att kartlägga skolsituationen för en elevgrupp på IV-programmet intervjuades 24 elever. Utöver detta gjordes en kognitiv bedömning samt en självskattning av upplevd psykisk hälsa. Huvuddelen av eleverna presterade på en ojämn kognitiv nivå, inom normalvariationen.

The purpose of this essay is to do an ecocritical reading of Vilhelm Moberg?s The Emi-grants from 1949. By asking and answering the three following questions; How does a system present itself, What are the different reasons for emigration; Why does differentsystem fit some well and some not.By using two articles from Green Planets - Ecology and Science Fiction to illus-trate two different views; Different parts value in an ekosystem and The Ship as an ecosystem. I have also created, based on the literary text four different terms concern-ing the dynamic system; Stable, Static, Unstable and Collapsing systems. I have found that all system goes through changes, some drastic, that changes the way the parts of the systems fit with in it.

Hundar har genom historien anpassat sig till ett liv med människan och har idag en viktig roll i vårt samhälle, både som arbetsredskap och sällskapsdjur. Ett starkt band har bildats mellan människa och hund, generellt sett starkare än med våra andra husdjur. Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att undersöka vilka egenskaper hos hunden som gjort att den kommit så nära människan och hur de har uppkommit. Studier pekar på att hundar har en stor kognitiv förmåga, de har en förståelse för mänskligt beteende och kan tolka sociala signaler. De här egenskaperna kan vara en anledning till att hunden fått en så stor roll i samhället. Studier stödjer teorin om att detta antagligen uppkom under domesticeringen.

This Thesis aims to explore how to integrate an IT-system for facilitating anorganizations work with Continous Impprovements.This is done here by examining and analyzing the process within a handful ofcompanies who seem to have been successful with their own implementations. Nedsättningar i luktsinnet är vanligt förekommande i befolkningen, och kan få negativa konsekvenser för en individs livskvalitet. Försämringar i luktsinnet kan dessutom förebåda kognitiva försämringar hos äldre. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om daglig luktminnesträning gynnar luktsinnet hos vuxna, och om träningen även leder till en förbättring av förmågor som inte direkt tränas. Under 40 dagar fick deltagarna (n=18) spela en specialutformad version av spelet memory, innehållande lukter. Luktspelets effekter på deltagarna jämfördes med en kontrollgrupp som spelade ett visuellt minnesspel.

This thesis aims to develop a control system for measuring electromagnetic compability (EMC). This has meant that a controller designed around an ATmega8 microcontroller has been manufactured and programmed. It has also meant the development of a comprehensive control software in the program MATLAB. The aims of the practical work carried out for this thesis were to redesign a clinical decision support system for thoracic surgeons, called AssistMe, and to evaluate the concept behind this system. The main objective of the thesis is to give an account of the considerations that were found to be of key importance for designing a clinical decision support system for thoracic surgery. Another aim was to let future users test the system after it had been redesigned and evaluate the concept behind it. The thesis also investigates users? experience of the system and their views on whether it would be applicable in their daily work practice.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the opportunities of classification of web pages. Two classification systems are compared; a library classification system traditional and a system that is developed for use on the web new. UDC is chosen to represent the traditional systems, and Yahoo! represents a so called new system. UDC is used by NISS Directory of networked resources, which is a directory that uses the system for organisation of electronic resources. Both systems are analysed from two different perspectives, a multidisciplinary and a timeperspective.

Mobbning kan leda till långvariga psykosociala, psykiatriska och psykosomatiska problem och sker vanligtvis under skoltid. Tidigare studier har visat att elever och lärare kan bedöma mobbning olika beroende på mobbningsform. Hur individen bedömer situationer är beroende av en mängd kognitiva processer och synen på vad som är mobbning bidrar till om man ingriper eller inte. En surveyundersökning genomfördes på 268 högstadieelever och 70 lärare. En enkät beskrivande olika mobbningssituationer utformades i syftet att se om det fanns skillnader i dessa gruppers bedömning av olika former av mobbning.

The client, Senselogic, had noticed an increased demand for an e-commerce system integrated into its product, SiteVision, something that did not previously exist. Senselogic wanted to integrate a third-party system to manage e-commerce. The problem was that there were very many e-commerce solutions to choose from. In order to select the best system it was necessary to evaluate the e-commerce systems and compare them to each other. To identify the elements that has to be included in an e-commerce system a study of literature was conducted.

Vissa forskningsresultat har visat att en måttlig alkoholkonsumtion kan ha positiva effekter på den intellektuella kapaciteten när vi blir äldre. Effekten har dessutom visat sig vara starkare för kvinnor än för män. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka sambandet mellan alkoholkonsumtion, kön och den kognitiva förmågan i åldrandet. SharePoint is a web based platform designed to provide internal communications and file sharing for businesses and organizations.In this project, we created a system consisting of multiple applications to be used together with SharePoint. These applications are meant to simplify the workflow for internal orders of products. The system is targeted towards companies that do not have a flexible approach to digital orders or companies that want to integrate this functionality into their SharePoint platform. The project includes, in addition to the creation of the system, installation of the software and the servers needed to run a SharePoint environment and their configurations.The system consists of four applications where one of these, the store application, is required for the system to be used at all. The other applications are an order management application, a purchase application and an incoming delivery application. Of these four, we have implemented the store application and the order management application. Our hope is that users will find the system easy to use and graphically appealing..

Ett ERP-system syftar till att ta hand om företagets resurser och skapa ett enhetligt integrerat system för dessa. ERP-system kan också användas för informationsutbyte mellan företaget, kunden och leverantörens system. Behov av ERP-system finns inom de flesta branscher oavsett storlek och inriktning men kritik har riktats mot att systemen inte lever upp till användarnas förväntningar eller tillfredställer användarens behov. Arbetets fokus ligger koncentrerat på hur mindre företags uppfattning om ERP-system är och vad som krävs av en ERP-leverantör för att i framtiden tillfredställa mindre företag. En surveyundersökning har använts för att få fram relevant information för att lösa min problemprecisering.

Människors yrkesval och syn på framtida arbetsliv influeras av olika faktorer som i sin tur har formats av evolutionen eller den sociala omgivningen. Människans kognitiva förmågor är ett av elementen som påverkar yrkesvalsprocessen, men är också kanske en bidragande orsak till könssegregeringen på arbetsmarknaden. Hur människor ser sig själva i den framtida yrkesrollen kan också vara en anledning till varför det finns en könsskillnad på arbetsmarknaden.
