Motivation, in an organizational context, is about whether the employees feel that their work is worthwhile, satisfactory and that there are opportunities for further development within the organization. However, motivation can be affected by a number of factors that originate from the employees? characteristics, the characteristics of the situation and the individuals perception of that situation. A factor that could lead to a low level of motivation is if the employee feels that his work is monotonous.Thus the purpose was to study the factors that lead to motivation and job satisfaction in a working environment that generally is considered monotonous and dull by investigating the target group cashiers at two Swedish grocery stores called Ica Kvantum and Coop Forum.In this study a quantitative method was used by the design of a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to get a general idea of the factors that the respondents consider motivating in their work.The results and the analysis of the questionnaire show that you really cannot make any general conclusions since there are many different factors that lead to motivation depending on who you are as an individual and in what phase of life one finds oneself.

The survey takes its starting point in a critical evaluation of recent phenomenological approaches to rock art in landscape studies, foremost the works of Chris Tilley. The purpose is to present a phenomenological theory, based on the philosophy of Maurice Merleau-Ponty, which includes both motives, places and landscapes in a holistic interpretation. Bronze age rock art around Motala ström and the city of Norrköping is used to exemplify the theoretical discussion. The aim of this essay is to find out how students at Malmö University relate to moral responsibility in their private consumption. I am going to test moral theories in order to find out if researchers have a too moral starting point in comparison to everyday use. Through a critical research, free from valuation, I also aim to raise a discussion about moral responsibility which should lead to fair trade in the long run. My essay discusses the subject out of a Swedish city, Malmö - a place where many stores, cafés and restaurant are using moral responsibility as a step in their marketing. The decision of the European Commission to block the merger between Volvo and Scania in the late 90?s became the starting point to the debate of the possible discriminating effects of the European merger regulation. Especially since the Commission a few years earlier had approved of the merger between Mercedes-Benz and Kässbohrer on the German bus market, where the conditions for competition had been similar to those at hand in the Swedish case. The issue that was and still is in focus is whether the European merger regulation is more difficult to pass for large companies situated on a smaller domestic market than is the case for their competitors of corresponding size but situated on a larger domestic market.This thesis aims at examining what the judgement of the geographical relevant market means for the application of the Merger act. The paper considers three newspaper articles to identify current attitudes and understanding regarding homework?s role. The purpose of this essay was to develop a conservation program for the outdoor environment at the Zorn House (Zorngården) in Mora, Dalarna, situated in the upper central part of Sweden. In the conservation program the Zorn House garden?s origins and development process has been studied by historical studies of various kinds. As a result a status report also has been made and a description of the garden's values. This has resulted in an objective discussion that provides guidelines for how the garden can be developed in the future.

AbstractBackground: After a while the usage of urinary catheters leads to UTI which for the patient means inconvenience, suffering and pain. Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate how to prevent UTI from patients with indwelling catheter. Method: This study was a literature review in which the articles have been searched for in PubMed, Cinahl and ELIN@Kristianstad. Results: It is important for the nurse to clean the periutheral area before inserting the catheter, and has the knowledge of different cathetermaterials. Silver alloy-coated catheters reduces the rate of UTI.

This paper is a study of some of the mathematics textbooks that were used in Swedish public schools from 1842 to the present. During this period several revisions of the curriculum took place and led to a change of contents in the various books. The first part is a description of the books chosen and highlights from each are given and compared with the corresponding curriculum. Also social and political change and the role of men and women can be studied in the examples presented. A comparison between similar topics and how they were accounted for in the older versus the newer books follows suite.

Abstract [sv]Titel: Revisorns självförtroende vid förhandlingNivå: C-uppsats i ämnet företagsekonomi.Författare: Henrik Alvin Rydén.Handledare: Jan Svanberg.Datum: 2015-05Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att beskriva vilka faktorer av transformellt ledarskap, identifikation och förhandlingsbeteende som kan ha ett samband med revisorns upplevda self-efficacy i en förhandlingskontext.Metod: Uppsatsen har ett deduktivt förhållande till teori och utvecklar flera hypoteser som sedan testas. Datainsamlingen sker med hjälp av en enkätundersökning. Urvalet består av 3 300 revisorer i Sverige, auktoriserade och godkända. Analysen av insamlad data sker med hjälp av datorprogrammet SPSS och statistiska metoder som Principalkomponentanalys (PCA), korrelationsanalys och multipel linjär regression.Resultat och slutsats: Distributivt förhandlingsbeteende har ett delvis negativt samband med self-efficacy. Resultaten är dock inte entydiga och ger inte tillräckligt stöd för att motivera ett accepterande av hypotesen.

Freedom of speech has been a well discussed subject. Great philosophers and theoretics like Plato, Voltaire, Locke and Mill have again and again showed the importance of freedom of speech. Since the world have become bystanders to a series of events that can only classify as crimes aganst freedom of speech, it has become more important to study the phenomenon and analyse it. By finding cases where the freedom of speech has been compromised and analyse them in frames of three different theories, the argument of truth, the argument of democracy and the argument of tolerance, this paper makes the boundaries of freedom of speech a little clearer, and also makes a discussion about how reasonable the boundaries are possible. To conclude this year?s introductory course in Mechatronics the students, in groups of 6,constructed a prototype based on the technical requirements established by the course teachers.This year they consisted of the following: two wheels only, active balancing, remote controlledand able to stop when crossing a pre-determined marker on the ground. The increasing road traffic in Sweden will require investments in the infrastructure that the tax withdrawal of today will not allow according to a new government report, SOU 2006:33. An existing willingness to pay for those investments has therefore become an alternative to increases in taxation to be able to cover the costs. A proposal to let the willingness to pay, alternatively increases in taxation that act proportional, decide how a cost is distributed can be said to be related, but not fully correspond, with different theories of justice described by Robert Nozick and John Rawls. It can therefore be interesting to see how the two different theories of justice are edified and how they distribute a joint cost. The aim of the first part of the thesis is to present and criticize Rawls' and Nozick's theories of justice in a common formulated economic model.
