Ingen saga utan hjälte - en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av spelet Shenmue II Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka berättelsens struktur i Shenmue II samt karaktärernas funktion för berättelsens drivkraft. Ett bakomliggande syfte är att undersökningen skall underbygga vår åsikt om att datorspel kan vara berättande och således möjliga att studera med narratologiska verktyg. Våra frågeställningar är; Hur ser berättelsens struktur ut i Shenmue II? Vilken funktion får karaktärerna för berättelsens drivkraft i datorspelet Shenmue II? Vi använder oss av en kvalitativ innehållsanalys och vi har valt att kombinera två olika typer av innehållsanalyser; den strukturalistiska och den narratologiska. Våra teorier är till stor del en utgångspunkt och analysmetod för vår undersökning.

In the beginning of the twentieth century in Sweden the laboring class grew and became more established. This entailed both a change in housing conditions and the design of the social policies. The purpose of this study is to show how the Child Welfare Committee in Kalmar conducted its work during 1911-1918. The aim is to show on what grounds they made their decisions and how the interaction between the committee and the families functioned in practice. This will be accomplished by giving examples from the protocols written by Kalmar?s Child Welfare Committee.

This essay is about gender equality in a Swedish upper secondary school. The aim is twofold: to obtain knowledge about feminism, gender equality, boys´ and girls´ situations in schools and gender equality work there; and to find out if government management documents for schools work effectively when it comes to promoting gender equality in schools. There are four research questions: How do teachers interpret what´s said in management documents for schools? What strategies do teachers use to promote gender equality? What opportunities and obstacles do teachers see for promoting gender equality at the specific school? And, finally, do the management documents for the school work effectively when it comes to promoting gender equality?The study has a socialist feminist perspective, which sees gender differences as a result of a mix of biological, historical and social factors. Important theoretical standpoints include gender socialization as an explanation for how girls and boys become women and men.The results of the study points out that teachers interpret management documents differently, and that they find the documents hard to understand.

Denna uppsats analyserar Selma Lagerlöfs debutroman Gösta Berlings saga utifrån teorierna zookritik och ekokritik. Analysen ämnar visa hur naturen framställs och hur den påverkar romanens karaktärer samt analysera hur det hierarkiska förhållandet mellan människa och natur artar sig i romanen. Analysen utgår även ifrån de filosofiska och teologiska tankegångar som ligger till grund för tudelningen mellan kultur och natur i det moderna samhället. Uppsatsens analys bygger på ett närläsningsstudium av tre kapitel i romanen. De kapitel som analyseras är första kapitlet ?Landskapet?, nittonde kapitlet ?Dovres häxa? och tjugotredje kapitlet ?Patron Julius?.

This study is an assignment from the council of Södra Småland county to investigate how equality between boys and girls progresses at compulsory schools in Kronoberg county. The study was undertaken to find suggestions on how work with equality could best be stimulated.The key question was to elaborate how a decentralized rule and structural context of an organisation can affect an implementation of political decisions. The methodological approach adopted can be defined as inductive, it was analysed how the respondents from some selected schools in Kronoberg county themselves relate to the concept of equality between men and women and their experience and understanding of how the concept of equality between sex is understood in their work at school.School-legislation today demands that active measures are undertaken to promote equality between boys and girls and in general almost all the respondents of my study describe equality as an utterly important question. My findings although, at the same time, indicate a gap between rhetoric and practice. The findings of my study suggest that structural relations and a decentralised organisation can constitute a hindrance for implementing equality between men and women in schools.

In this study I?ve used qualitative interviews to examine four male preschool teachers? interpretations of gender and their work with gender in preschool. Specifically, I?ve been interested in what thoughts male teachers have about the preschool gender assignment, how they express these thoughts in their work, and how they perceive their role as men in preschool in relation to gender and gender equality. The teachers express that the preschool gender assignment means that one should treat girls and boys equally and give them the same opportunities.
