The aim of this work is to develop new conceptual designs for the fairings that are situated between the fin and the rear fuselage on the new version of the JAS 39 Gripen aircraft, called the Gripen E/F. The designs presented should show a profit in the form of lower weight. To achieve weight loss, the possibilities of using other construction materials other than those which are available at Saab today were studied. Therefore, a material survey was carried out in which the market for modern construction materials was studied to get an idea of today?s level of technology.

Målet med denna rapport var att hitta ett skydd som bättre uppfyller de amerikanska och internationella standarderna för frekvensskydd, spänningsskydd och fasavbrott vid strömsättning av flygfarkoster, än de skydd som Saab idag använder.Inledningsvis sammanställdes standarderna till 2 st. kravspecifikationer, frekvensskydd och spänningsskydd. För att göra en kravspecifikation för fasavbrottsskyddet användes en av Saabs tidigare dokument, då de amerikanska och internationella standarderna saknade information om detta.När kravspecifikationerna var färdiga, började letandet efter produkter som matchade kravspecifikationerna bäst. Detta gjordes genom att söka på internet, skicka förfrågningar till företag och genom telefonsamtal. Efter 5 veckor valdes den bästa produkten ut med tanke på funktion och tillgänglighet.

This study takes place within a publicly owned art producing organization and dwells on the problems of a change process that the organization was involved in. Both leaders and staff were disappointed by the way the change process had developed. The management team explained the outcome by referring to the uniqueness of working with artists who constantly put their own personal objectives before the benefit of the whole. The aim of this study is to find a complementary explanation to the one the management team provided us with; an explanation that can help in the understanding of the dynamics of a change process. Can perhaps theories on information, communication and change processes give an alternative explanation to why the change process faltered? To investigate this, we have used a qualitative single case study.

The focus of this thesis is the group as a pedagogical tool. It investigates whether and how what is known of group size can help further schools in fulfilling knowledge and democracy goals and moreover how such knowledge can influence the principals? management. The mission of school education is to provide the basis for each pupil?s individual development and in the end it is pupils? individual performances which are graded.

I studiens bakgrund säger forskning att fysisk aktivitet är en förutsättning för god hälsa i samhället och på grund av det blir begreppet motivation automatiskt betydelsefullt. Vill samhället satsa på fysisk aktivitet och öka folkhälsan behöver individer motiveras på ett rättvist sätt. Syftet med studien var att få förståelse i vad det är som motiverar fysiskt aktiva medarbetare på Saab i Linköping till att vara fysiskt aktiva, men framförallt förstå varför de är motiverade. För att besvara syftet användes Saab i Linköping som arena då de historiskt sätt haft ett aktivt hälsoarbete. En kvalitativ intervjustudie användes som metod för studien, med ett riktat urval till fysiskt aktiva medarbetare.

Denna studie unders?ker en alternativ utformning av termisk brandgasventilation. Utformningen bygger p? att ers?tta tillufts?ppningar i markplan med r?kgasluckor i tak med hj?lp av brandteknisk installation i form av r?kgardin. Syftet med arbetet har varit att g?ra en j?mf?relse mellan denna hypotetiska utformning och traditionell brandgasventilation f?r att kunna utv?rdera om samma effekt kan uppn?s med de olika metoderna.

In this project a method used for performing accurate simulations on magnetization dynamics based on constrained field density functional theory has been validated and used for performing computations on a few magnetic materials. The method has been shown to simulate systems consisting of iron well, but there are still problems with simulations of alloys containing both magnetic and non-magnetic materials..

The main aim of this thesis is to investigate the implications and dynamics behind consistency between individual resource allocation decisions and corporate strategy concept. The telecom industry, a high-velocity environment going through an extensive deregulation process, is put under the magnifying glass. Japanese telecom giant NTT Group is compared to its German counterpart Deutsche Telekom. Potential antecedent factors in the strategic decision-making process to consistency are studied. It is also examined whether there is a direct interplay between consistency and economic performance.

Under våren 2012 har vi utvecklat en IT-lösning åt simulatorcentralen på Saab Aeronautics i Tannefors, Linköping. Saab har en lång historia av att utveckla och tillverka flygplan med tillhörande stödsystem, bland annat Jas Gripen. De simulatorer som finns används dels för utveckling av nya mjukvaror åt flygplanen samt dels för utbildning och övning för piloter.Projektet har utförts som en del av vårt examensarbete från utbildningsprogrammet Innovativ Programmering vid Linköpings universitet.Projektet har utförts av fyra personer, där arbetet har fördelats över två stycken examensarbeten för att separera arbetet och ansvaret så mycket som möjligt. Vi delade upp arbetet så att vår grupp gjorde det bakomliggande systemet med logik, datalagring och alla funktioner. Samtidigt gjorde den parallella gruppen ett grafiskt gränssnitt i form av en websida för att använda dessa funktioner.Denna rapport beskriver det arbete som gjordes av Jesper Larsson och André Teintang.

Avdelningen för strömningslära vid Luleå Tekniska Universitet har en vindtunnel som främst används till utbildning i aerodynamik för studenter. I skrivandets stund finns bara en vinge (osvept) som tillåter att 3? dimensionella effekter kan studeras och jämföras med en vinge som har 2? dimensionell strömning av samma sorts vingprofil. Resterande vingar har bara 2?dimensionella egenskaper eftersom deras spann sträcker sig från vägg till vägg i vindtunnelns testsektion.

This study had two different aims. The main aim was to investigate the dynamics and impact of African swine fever (ASF) on a farm in Uganda during a recent outbreak through a case study. The second aim was to estimate the presence of two important differential diagnoses of ASF: Classical swine fever (CSF) and Porcine Reproduction and Respiratory syndrome (PRRS).The field and laboratory based case study of the farm level dynamics of ASF virus during a recent outbreak (October-December 2010) on a farm in the district of Mityana, Uganda, was conducted, using interviews, ELISA and RT-PCR. The financial impact on the farm was also estimated. The impact of the outbreak was profound.

The objectives of this research were to determine whether the natural rattan resources in Sulawesi, Indonesia can cope with the strongly increased harvesting pressure that has occurred over the last centuries. I was furthermore looking for patterns in the rattan population dynamics that might give a hint on how the harvesting system could be improved to ensure a maximum sustainable yield. To answer these questions, I developed an individual-based model to analyse the dynamics of rattan growth in connection with rattan harvests by locals to identify sustainable levels of rattan harvests around villages in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Scenarios with different harvesting intensities were run to compare the change in harvest amount. For a given harvesting pressure, scenarios with a high number of harvesters and a low harvesting frequency had the same effect as scenarios with high harvesting frequencies and a low number of harvesters.

Title: The dynamics of the Audit expectation gapIntroduction: The audit expectations gap is the difference that exists between what auditors and users of accounting information expects an independent auditor to do. Since the definition arose in 1974, much research has been done about the gap. What is relatively unexplored is how the gap changes over time within a country, and how it is affected by external events. This lack of knowledge has motivated this study.Problem: How has the audit expectation gap changed in Sweden, from the emergence of the definition until today? In which way have corporate scandals and legislative changes affected the gap?Purpose: The aim is to identify and create an understanding of how the audit expectation gap has changed in Sweden.

Detta examensarbete har utförts vid Ekonomiska institutionen på Linköpings tekniska högskola. Uppdragsgivare har varit Kongsberg Automotive AB och Saab Training Systems AB. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att undersöka om värdeflödesanalys inom produktutveckling kan hjälpa företag att effektivisera utvecklingen av produkter. Metoden för värdeflödesanalys som vi valt att prova har tagits fram av MIT. Arbetets syfte var att pröva denna metod, detta gjordes genom att utföra två studier.

A large proportion of businesses around the world is today ISO 9001 certified and is consequently conducting internal audits on a regular basis. It has however not been possible to conclude that internal audits always add value to the organisation, despite the large utilisation of this tool. Some authors, e.g. Alic & Rusjan (2010) and Wealleans (2000), mean that there are possibilities that internal audits may be used as a value-adding improvement tool. This has led to the emergence of this master?s thesis.The purpose of the case study was therefore formulated to examine how internal quality audits can be made more effective and used as an improvement tool.
