From underwater boat to submarine ? The development of the Swedish submarine service 1945-1960 The scope of this essay is the development of the Swedish submarine service during the period 1945-1960. The aim is to answer the following questions:- What kind of new technology did Sweden acquire when salvaging the German type XXI submarine off Gothenburg at the end of World War II?- In what respect did this technology differ from that of the Royal Swedish Navy and did it subsequently contribute to the tactical and operational development?- What tactical and operational development was accomplished between 1945-1960?The timeframe, 1945-1960, was chosen since this is when the analysis of the salvaged type XXI submarine and related effects was conducted. Furthermore, it is also during this time that the Swedish submarine service is beginning to evolve as a result of the new knowledge mentioned above and the experiences made by both the allies and the Germans during World War II.The theoretical framework primarily refers to the theories on naval warfare by Sir Julian Corbett.

Ett flertal studier pekar på att en växande andel av revisionsbyråernas intäkter härrör från konsultuppdrag. Samtidigt debatteras det kring huruvida en revisionsbyrå bör tillåtas att utföra revisions- och konsultuppdrag i samma bolag. I Sverige finns i nuläget inget förbud mot att revisionsbyråerna i samma bolag utför konsultuppdrag parallellt med revisionsuppdrag, till skillnad från USA där det är striktare reglering. I Sverige finns en bolagsstyrningskod vid namn Svensk Kod för bolagsstyrning som infördes år 2005 och denna kod har inget förbud mot att bolag anlitar samma revisionsbyrå för både revisions- och konsultuppdrag, vilket vissa ser som ett problem. Syftet med denna studie är indelat in i tre delar.

Uppsatsen behandlar mottagandet av Wallanderfilmerna från Ystad i svensk dags- och kvällspress. Den utgår teoretiskt från receptionsteorin såsom den presenterats av bl.a. Janet Staiger och behandlar främst filmerna "Innan frosten" (2005) och "Mastermind" (2005). Uppsatsen visar på och analyserar skillnaderna i mottagandet av de bägge filmerna och föreslår därefter några möjliga tolkningar av resultaten..

Samhall arbetar aktivt mot målsättningen att varje år få fem procent av sina anställda att göra övergångar till andra anställningar utanför sin verksamhet och på Samhall i Dorotea har det arbetet varit framgångsrikt. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka vilka psykologiska faktorer som har legat till grund för att Samhall i Dorotea har lyckats bra med att slussa ut anställda till andra verksamheter med fokus på vilka förutsättningar för lärande och kompetensutveckling det finns i organisationen samt vilken motivations¬potential arbetsuppgifterna har. På Samhall i Dorotea har ett projekt i ökad arbetsväxling och kompetens genomförts, Attack 2005, och en analys av vilken betydelse Attack 2005 har haft för verksamheten har även gjorts. Arbetets teoretiska utgångspunkt utgörs av Ellströms (1992) teori om faktorer i organisationen som påverkar lärande och utveckling samt Hackman och Oldhams (1980) Job Characteristics Model. Intervjuer med nuvarande och tidigare anställda på Samhall i Dorotea har genomförts och resultaten visar att det positiva arbetsklimatet och ett välfungerande samarbete i arbetsgrupperna är två betydande framgångsfaktorer.

Efter finanskrisen år 2008 började kvalitén av den interna styrningen i kreditinstitut att ifrågasättas mer än under tidigare år. Banker gick i konkurs och intressenters förtroende för kreditinstitut sjönk. Efter finanskrisen undersökte CEBS hur implementeringen av deras riktlinjer på området av intern styrning fungerade, och kom fram till att implementeringen av riktlinjerna var bristfälliga. CEBS kom fram till att den bristande interna styrningen var en bakomliggande faktor till finanskrisen, bland annat så behövdes proceduren för tillsyn förbättras i kreditinstituten.EBA övertog år 2011 CEBS:s uppgifter och uppdaterade CEBS:s riktlinjer, i form av GL 44. I GL 44 fokuseras det på den interna styrningen i kredit- och värdepappersinstitut och riktlinjerna i GL 44 kommer att ersätta råden i FFFS 2005:15, som kreditinstitut i Sverige bör ha följt sedan år 2005.Frågeställningen i uppsatsen är hur det befintliga svenska regelverket och kreditinstituten kommer att påverkas av de nya riktlinjerna i GL 44, jämfört med de nuvarande råden i FFFS 2005:1.

The main purpose of this study was to establish to what extent undergraduate students use reference services, what knowledge they have about those services and what their views of them are.The survey took place at Lund University Library, UB1, the main library responsible for collections in social sciences, humanities, theology and law. A total of 476 undergraduate students were asked to fill in a questionnaire, 273 accepted. The study is quantitative and was carried out during the autumn semester, 1996.The results show that the service used most frequently by undergraduate students is the reference collection. The least used service is the Internet, more than 50 percent of the students never use Internet at the University Library. In general, students are very pleased with the service given by the reference librarians, and with the collection of reference books.

Uppsatsen behandlar det problem som organisationer har stött på när de vill uppgradera sin utvecklingsmiljö och sin produkt till Visual Basic.NET. Uppsatsen identifierar vilka faktorer det är som påverkar valet av en övergång, positiva respektive negativa. Faktorerna ger organisationer en bättre inblick i problemet och hjälper dem att avgöra huruvida de ska göra en övergång eller ej. För att arbeta fram våra faktorer har vi valt att använda oss av ett abduktivt tillvägagångssätt, som mynnar ut i en kvalitativ uppsats. Faktorerna bildar en modell över vad som påverkar valet av övergång samt hur.

This essay examines the public debate concerning the unemployment of Sweden just before the general election 2005. Its main purpose is to analyse what lies behind the huge differences in statistics, as presented by the two leading factions in the debate. It concludes that these differences are foremost a problem of semantics, and that although the two factions have statistical proof of their claims, it is their use of terminology that is in fact their main weapon in the debate.The key word here is the swedish word for employment ? sysselsättning ? which the two facitons use in entirely different ways, creating a lot of possabilities for interpretation. This has caused a type of debate which is actually about the reinterpretation this word, and those who are to be included in the statistics as being ?sysselsatt?, therefore, it is semantics that affects the number of unemployed people in the statistics..

Denna uppsats avser att undersöka huruvida lönepremien för individer med teoretisk respektive yrkesinriktad gymnasieutbildning har förändrats under perioden 1990-2005 samt om en förändring kan bero på förändringar i utbud eller efterfrågan. För undersökningen använder jag mig av LINDA-databasen som innehåller information om ett treprocentigt slumpmässigt urval av den svenska befolkningen. För att analysera lönepremiens utveckling skattades mincermodeller för män och kvinnor som gått teoretiska respektive praktiska gymnasieutbildningar. Resultaten tyder på att lönepremien har ökat och en orsak kan vara en efterfrågeökning. Att det är just detta som har lett till en ökning kan man inte säga helt klart då det finns en mängd andra faktorer som påverkar resultatet..

The purpose of this thesis is to discuss how an instrument originally developed for measuring changes toward lean thinking inservice organizations in general should be adjusted in order to be of use in service organizations within the healthcare sector, andin hospital organizations in specific. The adjustments are suggested based on difficulties specifically arising when implementinglean within the healthcare sector.Thesis starting point is a pre-existing lean assessment instrument developed for service organizations in general. The thesis appliesa qualitative method and integrates literature from the health care sector and lean production movement with the expertise of tenacademics and practitioners in order to find difficulties associated with the implementation of lean within the healthcare sector.These difficulties then lie as the substratum for the adjustments suggested to be made on the instrument.The thesis finds that lean, as a philosophy, does not differ between service organizations in general and service organizationswithin healthcare settings. However, due to deficits in the general understanding of lean some adaptions on the instrument mustbe made. First, some words associated with production must be changed to words associated with healthcare.

This master thesis examines the development of the two earlier independent IR protocols Z39.50 and SR (Search and Retrieve, ISO 10162/10163), now Z39.50/SR, from the beginning of the 80s to 1996 and their functionality in the client/server environment.Z39.50 applications in library systems will allow easy access to information regardless of platform or location. The use of Z39.50 will create a new user environment. Almost all the library systems of the market support the Z39.50 and surprisingly the use of it in Sweden lied on a very low leve! in 1996. This thesis was followed-up by an interview and a questioner among the Swedish Z39.50 users. They could see a huge potential of development concerning the future IR process.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are environments that use some kind of central authentication system within institutions/schools. The hypothesis is that an institution not using a form of central authentication service has more need for maintenance and as such is considered a higher cost for the organization. The gathering of data has been done through interviews with technical personal at Blekinge Tekniska Högskola and Linköpings Universitet. Based on the technical background of the authors, and the system limited to discussing Windows and UNIX operating systems, a discussion and analysis of the systems working today has been done, with emphasize on the hypothesis..

Följande rapport behandlar konstruktionen av ett system som kontinuerligt ska analysera kvaliteten på vatten. Systemet är uppdelat i mätenheter som utför själva mätningen och en centraliserad server som man kan koppla upp sig mot för att övervaka/justera sina mätenheter.Uppdragsgivaren till projektet var forskare från IFM på Linköpings universitet. De hade sedan tidigare ett fungerande system för att analysera vatten kontinuerligt. Vår uppgift var att ersätta deras system med ett nytt, som var baserat på mindre och billigare hårdvara. Vi har visat att systemet går att implementera på den önskade hårdvaran.Rapporten skildrar även hur projektgruppen tog designbeslut under utvecklingsfasen.
