The question of whether there is soft law in international law has been as much the subject of contemporary debate as whether or not there is private legal authority in the international society. The legal boundaries seem to be blurred by the process of globalisation and the recent SHIFT in international law. The traditional definition of international law has been outdated as new forms of treaties has introduced new subject of law to the judicial arena. At the same time a supplementary map of law has been added to the cartography of international law, soft law. These correlating processes have comprehensive political and legal consequences at both the international and national levels.

Social media is a relatively new phenomenon that has had a huge impact in the way we communicate in recent years. Today it is used daily by almost everyone and has become a billion dollar industry where corporate existence is increasing by every day. But there is not entirely safe to work with social media since customers and visitors can make comments and investigate what others are writing about the brand and form their own opinion. The purpose of this study is to explain the potential advantages and disadvantages for organizations in vulnerable industries with a focus on insurance companies who works with Facebook. The paper takes its starting point in the convergence culture that explains a cultural SHIFT where consumers are encouraged to search for new information and combine content from different media.

Bakgrund: Mot bakgrunden av den allt högre graden av globalisering har nätverk fått en allt större betydelse för företag och organisationer. Globaliseringen har lett till en ökad konkurrens vilket har gjort att företag och organisationer idag upplever en större osäkerhet. Nätverk har därför blivit ett effektivt sätt att hantera denna osäkerhet på. Projektform har blivit den vanligaste arbetsformen i nätverk som med flera olika aktörer kräver en tydlig styrning, kommunikation och samarbete för att lyckas. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att genom intervjuer med nätverksorganisationer förklara och beskriva hur de arbetar med utvärdering och prestationsmätning i projekt med deltagande medlemsorganisationer.

Drawing on theories of ethnic representations in mainstream news media and racial discrimination (van Dijk 2000, Hultén 2006, Husband & Downing 2005, Wodak 2011), and using methods of critical discourse analysis (mainly van Dijk 1993, 1991, Fairclough 1995) this bachelor thesis aims to investigate the inter-textual and inter-discursive relationship between selected editorial and opinion pieces written by three mainstream right wing ?symbolic elites? and the xenophobic blog ?Avpixlat?. The three selected symbolic elites are: Per Gudmundsson, editorial writer at the second largest Swedish newspaper SvD, Andreas Johansson Heinö, academic with a P.H.D. in political science, specialized on issues of integration and ethnic relations, and Paulina Neuding, editorial writer at SvD and editor in chief for right-wing oriented magazine Neo. All three are actively taking part in the mediated discussion of ethnic relations in Sweden from a liberal-conservative perspective.

Background: The international accounting standard regarding goodwill gives opportunities to several accounting procedure choices, as goodwill is a complex, intangible asset. The valuation of goodwill affects equity/asset ratio and income statement, which gives that the stakeholders? impression of the group?s financial statement is affected by the valuation of this asset. It has been pointed out that difficult economic times bring impairment loss to the fore. During financial crisis, equity/asset ratio may be significant as the economy of the groups is expected to be strained.Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to explain the appearance of the possible relationship between a group?s impairment loss for goodwill and their equity/asset ratio, during financial straits.

The Psychology Driving and Barriers to Skunk Work Projects (referred to throughout this thesis as the paper) represents a study predominantly on Tetra Pak from a selective perspective, the innovators. Innovators both past&present whose initiatives contribute to the well being of Tetra Pak as well as one from Ericsson were consulted. As with individuals, organizations possess definable characters that are influenced by the various stages of their life cycle. Theories of corporate life cycle phases and organizational character analysis were therefore employed to identify and explain organizational barriers to skunk work leaders&managers. Predicated on the Organizational Character Index survey developed by William Bridges PhD (himself a recognized leader in the field of transition management) and administered to sixty-one managers within a Tetra Pak business unit established the benchmark.

Many companies are heading for a generation SHIFT and are founding it difficult to find and employ younger managers. The aim of this report is to examine different strategies of garden centers and market gardens through the manager/ owner?s views and opinions about competition, growth and success.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att få en uppfattning om hur kosten och måltidsmönstret påverkas av en oregelbunden dygnsrytm hos skiftarbetande poliser. Syftet var också att skapa en bild av hur och vilka metoder som används för att skapa goda kost- och sömnrutiner i vardagen. Specifika frågeställningar var hur poliser upplever att deras kostvanor och måltidsmönster påverkas av skiftarbete med en oregelbunden dygnsrytm samt vilka livsstrategier som används för att hantera kost- och sömnvanor som skiftarbetande polis.MetodDatainsamlingen är baserad på intervjuer med fyra poliser, två kvinnliga och två manliga i åldrarna 26 till 37 år, som arbetar i en närförort till Stockholm. Respondenterna valdes ut med hjälp av bekvämlighetsurval via en bekant inom polisen. Samtliga deltagare kontaktades via telefon för att bli informerade om studiens syfte, frågeställningar, genomförande, för att boka in tid för intervju och blev dessutom upplysta om att de har full anonymitet i studien.

The energy sector is facing an impending paradigm SHIFT. Today?s technology enables the end-user to generate their own energy locally at home. Furthermore, recently developed storage technologies make it possible to balance energy demand with stored energy and integrate district heating with the local power grid. This means that in the future heat and electric power will interact and energy flows is converted over energy boundaries.

This thesis explores how the Swedish magazine Morgonbris depicted women's new roles in the workforce during World War I and whether these depictions challenged or upheld contemporary gender structures. The study addresses two main questions, how Morgonbris portrayed women's new roles in the workforce and how this portrayal challenged or upheld contemporary gender structures. And also how the magazine integrated the ideal of respectability to engage and mobilize female workers, analyzed through Ronny Ambj?rnsson's descriptions of respectability ideals. Using Hirdman's gender system theory, which examines the maintenance of gender power structures through separation and hierarchy, and Ambj?rnsson's work on respectability ideals, the study employs a qualitative content analysis of articles from Morgonbris during the war years. By identifying and analyzing expressions of class and respectability ideals, the research uncovers strategies used to engage and mobilize female workers. The results show that Morgonbris portrayed women's entry into traditionally male-dominated labor sectors as a significant SHIFT that challenged established gender roles.
