Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa förståelse för varför singlar åker på singelresa. För att få en djupare förståelse för hur singlarna tänker om singelresor har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Vi har intervjuat sju singlar och en före detta singel mellan 40-60 år för att ta reda på deras innersta tankar om singelresor. Utöver detta har vi även intervjuat ett reseföretag för att få deras perspektiv på singeln. Den teoretiska referensramen grundar sig dels på tidigare forskning om singelsegmentet, dels på teorier om konsumentbeteende.

The division of Electricity at Uppsala University runs a project called Lysekil project, they have designed a buoy that uses the waves to create electric power from a generator attached to the bottom of the sea.Uppsala University is closely connected with the company Seabased and the university makes use of their facilities in Lysekil. When they designed the buoy issues occurred, the geometric design was flawed, brackets with a short shelf life and it is generally uneconomic.A study visit was done in Lysekil on Seabased facility. With this visit the project started, which is to improve the design of the buoy and the attachment of wires leading to the generator. In this project we have chosen to use a beam system with three beams that are attached to the buoy. Then a wire attached to a plate that sits between the beams will be leading to the generator. Two proposals for construction are created, what distinguishes them are the brackets between the beams and the buoy.From these constructions, the design that is considered most optimal for our project is chosen.All parts of the buoy have been modeled and the drawings are designed in ProEngineer software.The two constructions are compared with each other, but the whole focus is on the second and final structure. The report begins with an introduction describing Lysekil project, and a task description of our project.The project aims to produce an optimal buoy that will be easy to design, materials restrictive with good durability and an economical solution.Wave power true function has been studied, mechanical and finite element analysis of beams, buoy and plate design.This has been presented in this report, where in the various chapters can read more about the processes. Jag har som examensarbete på master-nivå formgivit en sittmöbel med utgångspunkt från min uppväxt i Dalarna. Målet har varit att göra en filosofisk tolkning av mina minnen samt en hyllning till regionen, i synnerhet Borlänge där jag växt upp.Jag har under projektets gång gjort en resa både på ett mentalt och rent fysiskt plan tillbaka till den plats jag växt upp för att utforska mina minnen och därigenom skapa en plattform för mitt designarbete.För att nå mitt resultat har jag använt mig av designmetoder som ITK, intervjuer, skisser, studiebesök, materialtester, mockups samt modelleringsverktyget Rhino.Resultatet är en stol inspirerad av saker som bland annat Ornäs stugan och musikkulturen i Borlänge. Stolen består av en metallkonstruktion, trädetaljer vid fötterna samt armstöden och en sits i läder.For my thesis work on postgraduate level, I have designed a chair based on my upbringing in Dalarna. The goal has been to make a philosophical interpretation of my memories and a tribute to the region, particularly Borlänge where I grew up.During the project I have made a trip both on a mental and physical level back to the place where I grew up to discover my memories and thereby creating a platform for my design work.In order to achieve my result, I have used design methods such as ITK, interviews, sketches, field trips, materials testing, mockups and the modeling tool Rhino.The result is a chair inspired by things like Ornässtugan and the music culture in Borlänge. The chair consists of a metal construction, wooden feet and armrests and a seat made from leather..

Syfte: Syftet för denna studie var att se om det var någon skillnad i den överrefraktion man får fram hos patienten när överrefraktionen genomförs i provbåge, foropter och autorefraktor. Undersökningen gick även ut på att se om det blev någon skillnad om överrefraktionen genomfördes monokulärt med ocklusion eller binokulärt med dimlins.Metod: I studien deltog 30 personer i åldrarna 19 till 42 år. Det var sammanlagt 13 lågmyoper, 3 högmyoper, 5 hyperoper och 9 emmetroper som deltog i undersökningarna. Av dessa var 8 personer inte linsbärare och blev tillpassade med linser utifrån k-värden och HVID för att få en så bra sits som möjligt på linserna. De andra deltagarna blev tillsagda att komma till undersökningen med linser ordinerade till dem av en leg.

In this essay I analyze the performative aspects relating to Marina Abramovi?'s The Artist Is Present, which took place in spring 2010 at MoMA in New York, from the context of the artist and work, institution and documentation. In this performance work, for the duration of the exhibition, Abramovi? sits completely still opposite another chair where anyone from the audience may sit. The art arises through this participation.

The interest in horses and equestrian sport is constantly increasing, and so is the will in both riders and trainers to learn more about the effect the rider and its equipment have on the horse. The last twenty years, more and more studies have been performed were the horse and its kinematics have been in focus. The access to more advanced technology has made it possible to study areas, which earlier have been hard to reach. The knowledge about kinematics in the horse, and how riders and their equipment interact with the horse?s movement, is also of great interest to veterinarians in equine practice.

This essay derives from the concern that horses ridden with a bit in their mouth can be subjected to strong pressure from the bit if the horse and rider do not understand each other. The horse's mucosa membrane and the tongue are very sensitive tissues (Cook, 1999; Manfredi, 2005; Oliveira, 2005; Terada, 2006) and the bit can then be a source of pain and discomfort. The training of the horse should therefore always be a step by step process and as the horse develops difficulties are increased. Oliveira (2005) suggested that high demands can be placed on the horse but to be successful in the training it is essential to be content with small progress and reward the slightest desired response from the horse. This corresponds with the principles of operant conditioning with negative reinforcement.

By combining the basal idea analysis, where I investigate librarians' ideas about quality, with an operational analysis of ideas, where I examine the effects librarians' quality ideas get for the daily work, Iwant to find out the librarians' quality ideals.The material I analyze consists of 18 questionnaires, filled out by librarians with responsibility for purchasing and / or thinning in libraries across Sweden. The analysis is done with an analytical schedule, that consists of a number of opposing ideal types taken from previous research on quality, purchasing, thinning or mediation.

Det är naturligt att det flera gånger under ett företags livstid sker generations- och ägarskiften. Genomförandet av ett sådant skifte är en stor och krävande procedur som kräver noggrann planering och god framförhållning. Det handlar om stora summor pengar och ibland ovärderlig kunskap som skall förvaltas vidare av en kommande generation. De bör tidigt sättas in i företagets verksamhet för att underlätta den dag då skiftet väl sker.Tyngdpunkten i denna uppsats har lagts på oplanerade generationsskiften och särskilt efterlevande makes arvsrätt vad gäller arv av andelar i familjeföretag. Syftet är att visa på de fördelar och nackdelar denna metod har vid generationsskifte samt visa på svagheter i gällande lagstiftning.Ett planerat skifte under företagarens livstid är att föredra och det finns då ett antal olika metoder att tillämpa, som gåva och andelsbyte, intern aktieöverlåtelse, underprisförsäljning och testamente.

Dressage schooling is not a subject that rests on science, it is a matter of dependable experience. So far there hasn?t been so much research about it, but more and more is done. Especially the interaction between rider and horse is a nearly uninvestigated field. Riding skills is much about having the right position, and having the horses head and neck in different positions, but there are no research done that support or deny that this old ?knowledge? is for the best for the horse. This study was performed to evaluate if the head and neck position of the horse, and the velocity, has any influence on the position of the rider.

Rapporten innehåller redovisningen av examensarbetet utfört under vårterminen 2011 i kurs KPP301. Arbetet koncentrerades kring konceptframtagningen av en bomlös sadel med hänsyn till uppdragsgivarens, Linda Persson, önskemål. Uppdragsgivaren driver enskild firma Equra och möter i sitt dagliga arbete skadade hästar. De flesta skador som hästar lider av är orsakade av dåligt anpassade traditionella sadlar som i sin konstruktion har en hård och oelastisk bom. Den nya sadeln skulle vara utan den problematiska bommen men garantera lika bra tryckfördelning och stöd.
