One way of signalling commands to the horse during Riding is through applying tension on the reins to create bit pressure in the horse?s mouth (Terada et al., 2006; Clayton et al., 2011). The skilfulness of the rider in using the hands when applying bit pressure has consequences both for the horse?s performance and welfare (Manfredi et al., 2010). At the trot there are large vertical deviations of the horse?s body which the rider must adjust and adapt to (Terada et al., 2006) and an unsteady hand due to inability to follow the horse?s movement can be a source of discomfort and conflict behaviour in the horse (Heleski et al., 2009).

This thesis constitutes a long term (100 year) ecological landscape management plan for the estate Götebo 1:5. The estate is situated close to Gothenburg and is owned by Skogssällskapet. The planning has been made by dividing the estate into different areas (zones). In each zone one of the goals nature conservation, recreation or economical yield has been prioritized. Nature conservation is one of the main goals for the forest management plan.

The Healthcheck is an evaluation of the 2003 years reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). When the Healthcheck of CAP is decided, most likely in the beginning of 2009, there will be a discussion about how CAP will appear in the next budget period 2013. One main question in the Healthcheck is how the farm support will be designed. A suggestion that has arised is if todays addition amount for dairy- and beef production should be transferred to the fundamental farm support. In this exam theses calculations has been done in created typical farms in every Swedish support region for cereals-, dairy- and beef production.

Dressage schooling is not a subject that rests on science, it is a matter of dependable experience. So far there hasn?t been so much research about it, but more and more is done. Especially the interaction between rider and horse is a nearly uninvestigated field. Riding skills is much about having the right position, and having the horses head and neck in different positions, but there are no research done that support or deny that this old ?knowledge? is for the best for the horse. This study was performed to evaluate if the head and neck position of the horse, and the velocity, has any influence on the position of the rider.

Hästar har funnits vid människans sida i över 6000 år och används sedan några decennier tillbaka inom humanvården i form av så kallad hästunderstödd terapi. Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att redogöra för bakgrunden till att hästar kan användas till detta, vilka effekter som kan ses med fokus på behandling av barn med autism och äldre personer samt överskådligt ta upp vilka risker som finns associerade med terapiformen. Framför allt är det egenskapen av att vara ett flockdjur som gör att hästar kan används inom psykoterapi. Hästar är känsliga för andra individers signaler och reagerar utifrån dessa vilket har visat sig användbart för att hjälpa människor att stärka sin självbild och tillit. Utöver den psykologiska aspekten av hästunderstödd terapi finns också den fysiska. Inom ridterapi drar man nytta av hästens rörelsemönster för att stärka bland annat muskelfunktion och balans hos människor med fysiska funktionsnedsättningar.

SUMMARY The interest of horses in the Riding sector has increased the last decades. A large amount of horses are transported in a 1 or 2-horse trailer, which is pulled by a car. Today a large number of different products and designs of trailers can be found on the market. The difference in shaping of trailers depends on tradition and experience. There are no detailed directions on the demands for shaping of horse trailers today. The literature review contains a market analysis of both Swedish and imported horse trailers.
