Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera filmen Waking Life (Richard Linklater, 2001) utifrån David Bordwells narratologiska perceptionsteorier för att tydliggöra filmens narrativa konstruktion på ett kognitivt plan.På senare år har det kommit allt fler filmer som utmanar åskådaren med ett experimentellt berättelseformat. Waking Life tillhör den gruppen men lämnar också extra rum för åskådarens egna tolkningar.Genom ett fokus på filmens protagonist och dennes öde så riktar uppsatsens näranalys in sig på filmens underliggande berättelse, som i filmen döljer sig och samtidigt blandas med filmens filosofiskt inriktade innehåll.Näranalysen anknyter ständigt till Bordwells teorier som också visar sig vara väl användbara för en grundläggande linjär analys, men uppmärksammar samtidigt vissa av teorins brister. Sammanfattningsvis förtydligar uppsatsen detta genom att peka på vikten av åskådarens medvetenhet om vem eller vilka det är som egentligen berättar en film. Här är Waking Life med sitt experimentella narrativa upplägg och känslan av ett högst personligt berättande ett passande exempel..

Denna studie utreder de motstridiga uppgifter som idag förekommer om Bo Hanssons mest framgångsrika album Sagan om Ringens reception i Sverige efter att den gavs ut december 1970. Dess genomslag har i dagens relativt knapphändiga receptionsmaterial beskrivits som en omedelbar succé men samtidigt som enbart måttlig. Studien innefattar huvudsakligen insamlade och granskade historiska primärkällor i form av dags- och kvällstidningsartiklar från Sveriges fyra största tidningar och styrs av en huvudfråga och en följande bifråga: I vilken omfattning omskrevs verket och hur formulerades receptionen i dåtidens svenska press? Bifrågan grundas i utsagor om en särställning som Bo Hansson idag anses ha erhållit jämte sin samtida sociokulturella kontext, nämligen sjuttiotalets svenska Musikrörelse även kallad Proggrörelsen. Studien föranleds av ett biografiskt bakgrundsavsnitt och avrundas med en kort biografisk epilog som syftar till att stärka läsarens helhetsförståelse av uppsatsens centrala artikelstudie.

This thesis analyses the literature debate in the overlooked Swedish magazine Samtid och Framtid 1944?1949. The magazine was first published at the end of World War II on the initiative of publisher Johan Hansson. After an interesting start, the terms of the debate in the magazine were changed after a power struggle on the editorial level. Thus, the magazine never became the influential arena for literary discussions that it first had potential of becoming.

This study has its background in the debate about religion and the existence of God, which has been an ongoing issue throughout the Western cultural tradition. Today´s information society has been an impact on the increasing interest for this subject. The essay?s main task is to accomplish a rhetorical analysis of two books, Illusionen om Gud (2008) by atheist Richard Dawkins and Guds dödgrävare (2010) by Christian John Lennox, in order to investigate the authors? use of rhetorical strategies to influence their audience. The texts are studied using a qualitative approach with the theoretical basis of some well-defined rhetorical variables: ethical, logical and pathetic means of persuasion, propaganda, and the important factor that a message always is presented in a certain context in which the recipients both have their own values and subjects to general truths and common frames of reference.

Detta arbete tar upp begreppen etik och moral samt hur etiska teorier kan användas för att analysera ett visst handlande. Både generella etiska teorier samt en etisk modell/teori, kopplade till arbetet som offentlig tjänsteman, tas upp för att se på fallstudien ur ett etiskt perspektiv. Fallstudien är en händelse som utspelade sig på Gotland under sommaren 2009. Det var ingen vanlig storm som drabbade ön i Östersjön utan en väldigt intensiv ?mediastorm?.Dåvarande landshövding Marianne Samuelsson och storföretagaren Max Hansson var de två huvudaktörerna.

My intention is to discuss a single theme and identity-marks that unites all three works, using Paul Ricoeur?s The Rule of Metaphor (La mêtaphore vive) as well as the ?thematic critique? of Jean-Pierre Richard.What is metaphor for Ricoeur is for Richard themes (theme): an organizing principle, a sort of schedule around which a world is constituted. Hence, I find similarities between the motif-circuits, Ricoeur?s metaphor-theory and Richards?s themes.

The purpose of this project has been to redesign an already existing cook-book. The title of the book (directly translated), ?Season in food ? the year around with herbs and spices?, contains what the headline imposes: spices, herbs and food. But when the author tries to entwine these parts and communicate it to the reader it is not working all to well due to a poor and inconsistent graphic design.I have followed the theories and values of information design when I redesigned the book layout with the intent to simplify the communication between author and reader. In the progress to make a complete dummie of the book I did multiple literature studies, book analysis, tests and a vast number of drafts.In this report I will describe the whole process from start to finish.

This essay intends to examine the atheists Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchens and Michel Onfray's arguments against religion, based on the themes of religion, atheism and the perception.of their present worldview. In addition, the research aims to find out whether it is suitable to talk about a new atheism. And, if so, whether such newatheism correspond with the definition represented by the Christian critics. The essay intends to contribute to a very limited research on the so-called new atheism without applying pro-religious arguments.Previous research and theory highlight the problem of defining the terms atheism, religion and secularism a concern that is reflected by the five critics troughout their arguments. What really united the critics were the idea about religion taking too much place in society, and the opinion that atheistic morality is at least as good as religious morality.

Denna uppsats visar hur representationen av dekadent maskulinitet i svensk dekadenslitteratur från tiden strax innan sekelskiftet 1900 konstruerades. Genom att se till de tre författarna Ola Hansson (1860-1925), Emil Kléen (1868-1898) och Axel Wallengren (1865-1896) visas hur den dekadente mannen ? dekadenten ? skapas som karaktär och litterär figur. Dekadenten var, menar denna undersökning, extremt bunden av rum, socialitet och kropp, och kunde endast agera inom mycket snäva ramar skapade av dessa kulturella kategorier. Vad som framträder är närmast en schablon enligt vilken dekadensförfattarna arbetade, och rum, umgängesformer och kroppsligheter är så gott som utbytbara från verk till verk och författarskap till författarskap.

World Solar Challenge är en tävling i Australien vars syfte är att främja utvecklingen av förnyelsebar energi. Här deltar olika universitet runt om i världen och för att bygga en solcellsdriven bil som drivs av solens energi. Den ska sedan köras en sträcka mellan Darwin och Adelaide på dryga 300 mil genomAustralien på kortast möjligast tid. Projektet görs för Tekniska Högskolan i Jönköping till en kommande kurs somstudenter kan söka sig till för att delta i World Solar Challenge 2013. I kursen ingår att bygga en solcellsbil som man sedan tävlar med.

The background to this thesis is the debate of the last decades within exegetics, concerning the so called "New Perspective on Paul". Starting from this discussion, the thesis is aming to investigateand discuss the function of Abraham in Paul's argument in Romans 4. This is achieved by, to start with, a thoroughly examination and analysis of different translations of Romans 4:1. Secondly, by trying how the translation suggested by Richard B. Hays can be motivated using a narrative perspective of interpretation emphazising the context of covenant history of the text, and thirdly, by examin and discuss other interpretations of the text and compare their ability to bring intelligibility to the text.
