Light has always fascinated humans but ever since the invention of the first light bulb, the use of artificial lighting has accelerated dramatically. Darkness has never been as rare as today and the overuse of lighting has created a new phenomenon called light pollution. Most living beings are biologically dependent on the recurrent twenty-four-hour Rhythm of light and darkness, called the circadian cycle. Human beings are evolutionary developed after this circadian Rhythm and the effects of constant artificial light is yet unknown. Scientists fear the consequences of constant lighting and what it means physically, mentally and philosophically for the human species.

The purpose of the study is to find out how teachers relate to music and Rhythm in preschool and its importance for children's development and learning. We want to see how three pre-school teachers describe the importance of music in preschool in a group interview and individual interview. The teachers think that the most important thing with music and Rhythmic is the joy that it provides, both for the children and for the adults. This work aims to obtain information on diurnal variations of aerosol concentrations in thecity of Lund (Sweden) and trying to locate the origin of the aerosols long distance transports.The study shows that the aerosol concentrations varied quit strongly over the entiremeasurement period, reflecting air masses of different degrees of pollution, mainly as a resultof the diurnal Rhythm of the traffics. Syftet med studien är att ta reda på hur fiolpedagoger på en kommunal musikskola undervisar i ämnet rytm och puls. Det saknas mer omfattande forskning inom området och vi ville därför göra en fördjupande studie som behandlar denna frågeställning. Det didaktiska perspektivet är vår teoretiska utgångspunkt och studien har sitt fokus på vilka hjälpmedel och metoder pedagogerna använder sig av när de lär ut.De metoder vi använde för att få svar på våra frågor var den kvalitativa intervjun samt videoobservation. De båda informanterna som medverkar i studien arbetar och verkar idag som fiolpedagoger på en kommunal musikskola. Resultaten visar på vilka olika sätt de båda informanterna undervisar i ämnet rytm och puls.

Abstract The purpose of this essay is to compare in what way pedagogues in pre-school in comparison to pedagogues in school use music as an implement to stimulate children?s language development. The essay is built on qualitative written interviews on four pedagogues, two pre-school teachers and two class teachers, along with relevant literature concerning music in relation to language development.In the interviews it was shown that music is used in a greater extent by the pre-school teachers, compared to the class teachers. Activities containing elements of music is situated on a daily basis in preschool, where the two interviewed pre-school teacher?s works.

A common health complaint affecting the quality of life in elderly persons are sleep difficulties. Physical activity is claimed to improve sleep quality and the maintenance of a normal circadian Rhythm. Several studies have shown positive effects of physical activity on sleep quality, still the evidence of physical activity as sleep-promoter is insufficient. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate associations between physical activities and sleep quality in persons ?60 years of age.

Noise music is created around sounds not often welcome in a musical context. Since the birth of electronic music in the 1950s a new perspective on composing has emerged. In electronic music, sounds and their timbre are as much important as melody, harmony and Rhythm. This composing perspective is not often observed. Therefore I have examined a musical genre that stretches the boundaries of what we consider music, sound, noise, beautiful and terrible.
