Solceller pa? Uppsalahems fastigheter : Ekonomisk potential fram till 2030
Uppsalahem is the leading housing corporation in Uppsala with its over 160 real estate properties. Uppsalahem is owned by the municipality of Uppsala, which has a climate and energy goal that aims for 100 MW of solar energy to be installed in Uppsala by 2030. The 100 MW goal, combined with Uppsalahem?s environmental policy, is a strong incentive to investigate the possibility of installing PV modules on the many available roof areas that Uppsalahem possesses. The objective of this thesis is to create a foundation for future decisions regarding PV systems for Uppsalahem.

The Swedish carrot market is dominated by a few big companies and three of them stands for
50 % of the market. During the last twenty years the number of growers has decreased, the
area and the harvest have increased. The big producers have invested in advanced and
expensive postharvest equipment that fulfils the high standards of the food industry. Few
carrot producers are members of an organisation and they keep contacts with there buyers one
by one. The buyers are mostly wholesalers and these have during a long period of time
decreased the number of suppliers.

This paper describes the evolutionary development of an information system for a small company. The company performs overhaul of forklifts and cleaning machines. The company has already an information system that handles the reports from these overhauls but it needs a supplementary tool that assist the chief planner to plan forthcoming overhauls.It should be able to display coming overhauls in a timetable and eventually print them, either to a PDF file or to a document. The timetables this function produces will help the chief planner and the assemblers to get a good overview of their day-to-day work.The tool needs to be intelligent in that way that it takes into consideration were in the country different assignments will be performed. So that time consuming travels over great distances can be avoided.

In-store retail environment ? A study if placement of ecological products has an impact on sales and attitudes towards buying.
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether placement, using a special display, of ecological products, will have an effect on consumer buying behaviour and thereby sales of these products. When talking about sales we refer to the amount of ecological products that are being bought, habitual and unplanned, as a response due to the placement of the products in-store. To further elucidate the purpose, the thesis will focus on if the placement of the products itself will have an impact on the customers? attitude towards buying ecological products. A deductive approach was applied where we did a quantitative study using triangulation to receive data to reveal if the placement of ecological products had any effect on the sales of these products.
Den mobila prefabriceringsfabriken : Ett nytt produktionskoncept
This is an investigation of a mobile prefabrication factory´s competitiveness and profitability which also will result in a suggestion for a design of the factory. The mobile prefabrication factory is an idea of a new concept for production which is meant to be used in the manufacture of slab. The main intention with this concept is that by using a fast established prefabrication factory to produce elements near the construction site, thus avoiding transport from the factory to the building site. This means not only an environmental and economic gain, but also that you can avoid risking damage the elements which often occur during transportation. The contractor is owner of the mobile prefabrication factory and can thus avoid long waiting times and cyclicality.
En postindustriell stads dynamik : Kalmars samarbeten och konkurrenser i strävan efter expansion genom handel
The thesis strives to reveal the dynamics between a central and a peripheral shopping area in Kalmar, Sweden. The establishment of larger shopping centers has become a hallmark of postindustrial cities. Cities globally are at risk of creating an urban economic rift between the central and peripheral shopping areas. By establishing major shopping venues around the traditional central business districts, cities hope to create a larger customer hinterland and thereby also increased economic growth. The aim of this thesis is answered by two research questions regarding collaboration and competition between two shopping areas; the central Kvarnholmen and peripheral Hansa City Mall.
En kostnadsanalys av energieffektiva flerbostadshus
In Sweden the real estate sector accounts for 33 % of energy consumption and just below 10 % of the emission of carbon dioxide. As a consequence of the external pressure from climate change it?s in everybody?s interest to reduce the energy consumption and thus reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. An additional incentive to reduce the energy consumption is the substantial increase of the energy price since the deregulation of the electricity market in 1996.In this study the techniques that exist to build multi-storey residential buildings with high energy performance will be investigated. Further the study intends to investigate the optimal energy performance from a real estate economic perspective.In order to investigate the optimal energy performance a model has been created with the parameters investment cost, rental revenues, operation and maintenance cost, discount rate and investment horizon.The result shows a relationship between a high investment cost and a high energy performance for newly constructed multi-storey residential buildings.

In today?s society climate change has grown to one of the largest global issues. To reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, large changes of the energy system are required. An increasingly popular solution is investments in local production of renewable energy resources like wind, solar or geothermal power. The following report examines the possibility for implementing a solar power plant on the new hospital Nya Karolinska Solna. Two different technologies for extraction of solar energy has been studied, solar thermal collectors to meet the need of heating and solar cells to satisfy the need for electricity linked to operating the hospital building.
Landström : Undersökning av svenska hamnars ekonomiska möjligheter att investera i landströmsteknik
Syftet med studien var att undersöka svenska hamnars möjlighet att investera i landströmsteknik och sedan betala tillbaka investeringen genom försäljning av elektricitet till ankommande fartyg. Studien är en systematisk litteraturöversikt baserad på en systematisk litteratursökning som sedan presenteras i en teoretisk fallstudie. Litteraturöversikten utgår från fem studier som beskriver kostnader gällande utbyggnad av landströmsteknik. Första delen av resultatet består av beräkningar för vad investeringskostnaderna för utbyggnad av landströmsteknik till en enstaka kaj kan uppskattas till. Därefter beräknades kostnader för att generera en viss mängd elektricitet ombord och jämfördes med kostnaden för att köpa den från marknätet. Sedermera beräknades en vinstmarginal om elektriciteten säljs för samma pris som den kostat om den genererats ombord i dieselgenerator.

A third party access to district heating networks has been proposed in Sweden, to increase the competition
on the district heating market. Such third party access could create opportunities for the agricultural sector
as an energy producer. This study describes the technical, economical and environmental prerequisites for a farmer cluster to build and run a heating plant, fueled with local wood fuel.
The heating plant in the described scenario is 8 MW and will supply a village of 1000 houses, and is fueled with wood chips exclusively. Supplying a heating plant with fuel puts high demands on the logistics, since there need to be a continuous flow of fuel. In the scenario, wood residues from felling and thinning is stored in stacks in the forest, and a few times a year chipped and transported to a storage area at the heating plant.
In the study, an estimation of the profitability has been made by estimating the cost of the investment,
personnel, operating and maintenance costs and costs for the fuel and ash handling.

In recent years, the market for locally produced food has grown. There is an increasing interest in and demand for locally produced food items.

Trots en låg efterfrågan och ett svagt intresse för miljövänligt resande bland konsumenterna arbetar charterföretagen målmedvetet med miljöförbättringar såväl under flygningen som på destinationen med boende, service och transfer. Denna studie granskar vad charterbolagen ämnar uppnå med sitt miljöinriktade CSR-arbete. Uppsatsen prognostiserar och urskiljer även företagens framtida arbete för miljön. Att arbeta för hållbart resande bidrar till minskade kostnader i form av lägre bränsleförbrukning och leder därmed i förlängningen till ökad avkastning. Högre lönsamhet kan även på sikt uppnås i form av ökad legitimitet och ökat anseende bland konsumenterna vilket bland annat kan bidra till fler sålda resor.
