Stress is something that has increased in recent decades among adolescents. Several reports indicate that young people today are more stressed because of the many demands they wear. They should be good in school, achievement expectations, get an education or job, make choices and think about their future. The purpose of our essay is that we want to explore and gain an understanding of how young people in the third grade in high school looks to stress. To conduct this study, we used a qualitative approach, by doing interviews with 10 high school students attending third grade at Västerviks gymnasium. The result we got out of the interviews was that young people experience stress differently, depending on their different as individuals. We found that there are different causes of stress, such as school, media, friends, demands from various quarters and choosing education.The interviews showed that some kind of stress was possible to handle for the adolescents, for instance by making schedule. Some stress from society was, on the other hand, more difficult to avoid..

The purpose of this study was to describe experiences in daily social life of parents of children with psychotic illness. Five parents with long-term experience of psychotic illness have been interviewed. The frame of reference in emotion theories of Thomas Scheff and Randall Collins have been used to analyze the results. The study is qualitative and has a phenomenological approach to shed lights of meanings in daily social life. The following meanings was found: Openness with certain reservation shows that honesty is important for the feeling of solidarity, Social expectations in daily life describes the parents´own expectations as well as expectations from others.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken kunskap lärare med elever i årskurs 6-9 har om elevers stress och vad de gör och kan tänka sig göra för att underlätta för stressade elever, och vad jag i min kommande profession som svensklärare kan ta med mig ut av deras erfarenheter. Metoden jag använt för att ta reda på svaren till frågeställningarna är kvalitativa intervjuer. Resultatet visar på att lärare är relativt kunniga om vad stress är, dock skulle de behöva mer kunskap för att se symptomen på stress hos sina elever. Stress innebär en obalans mellan krav som ställs och förmågan att hantera dessa. Ökade krav på arbetet visar på högre förekomst av stress och stressymptom. Syftet var att beskriva stress hos nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor. Metoden som användes var litteraturstudie vilken grundades på tio vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades och sammanställdes.

Syftet var att undersöka graden av upplevd stress i hem- och arbetsmiljö ur ett könsperspektiv. Syftet var även att undersöka om antal barn och ansvarsnivå i hemmet har någon betydelse för upplevd stress. Medling är en metod som bygger på Restorative justice och är en världsomspännande företeelse. Det går ut på att den som begått ett brott och den som blivit utsatt för brottet ska få möjlighet att träffas. Detta görs med hjälp av en opartisk medlare. Då medling är frivilligt så kontrollerar medlaren om parterna har en vilja att träffas samt förbereder parterna och tar reda på vilken inställning dessa har. Om parterna vill träffas anordnas ett medlingsmöte.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskors upplevelser av arbetsrelaterad stress samt att beskriva deras upplevelser av vad stress kan leda till för konsekvenser. En deskriptiv intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes. Datainsamlingen utfördes genom åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer. Det insamlade materialet analyserades med kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Huvudresultatet påvisade att nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor har upplevt stress under sin första tid i yrket, bland annat till följd av att det är en tid av osäkerhet.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) har framförts som en lämplig metod för lindring av stress hos friska, men stressade människor. Effekten av MBSR på stress hos personer utan psykiska eller fysiska sjukdomar undersöktes genom en litteraturgenomgång av artiklar som behandlar experimentella utvärderingar av MBSR. This essay deals with the issue of children and stress, and the impact that stress can have on children. The purpose has been to explore how I, in my role as teacher, can prevent children from developing stress in preschool, and how I can prevent stress to develop inside of my own department. My essay is structured as follows: First, I describe my practical work with children. Then I analyze some research literature on stress, and finally I reflect over what I have described earlier and try to connect the practical with the theoretical.In the practical part of this essay I describe the various events that I have observed during my work in preschool, where I have seen how stress can affect both children and teachers.
