Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka huruvida globalisering kan sättas i sammanhang till existerande problem med barnsexturism samt att undersöka hur svenska researrangörer arbetar med att ta socialt ansvar i sina verksamheter för att förebygga och stoppa barnsexturism. Studien utgår från tidigare forskning i ämnet samt två teorier om globalisering och CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility Vi har i denna studie använt ett kvalitativt tillvägagångssätt. Vi har utfört två kortare intervjuer, en med ECPAT Sverige och en med Ving. Vi har även genomfört textanalyser på noga utvalt material från ECPAT Sverige, Apollo, Fritidsresor och Ving. Resultatet av studien visar på att det kan finnas en relation mellan globaliseringen och problemen med barnsexturism.

The aim of this study is to describe and analyse the cooperation between the public employment service and the refugee reception in a medium-sized municipality in southern Sweden on basis of the establishment reform. The study examines how the collaborative process is regarded when it comes to implementation of the reform, and when it comes to the directives and resource allocation between the employment services and the refugee reception. The study also focuses on the deficiencies and the benefits that can be discerned with the establishment reform at local level.A qualitative data collection method has been used. It is semi-structured interviews with workers from the public employment service and the refugee reception. Information materials and evaluations that various authorities have made have also been investigated.The study concludes that it is important that the directives are clarified and that a new local and regional agreement will be established on paper.

It has now passed a few months since the events in Soth East Asia during Christmas 2004. The purpose of our essay is to analyze factors that may influence the Government?s managment of catastrophes.In connection with the Tsunami disaster in South east Asia, the Swedish contingency system was the center of attraction. The criticism against the Government have not eluded many people. Not to mention the fact that the Government didn?t act rapidly and appropriately.

Företag som upprättar så kallade hållbarhetsredovisningar har blivit allt vanligare. Dock råder det inom forskningen på området en oenighet om vad hållbarhetsredovisning egentligen är. En mängd olika begrepp används om vartannat och några klara definitioner finns inte fastlagda. Syftet med denna studie är därför att göra en kartläggning av de olika begrepp som används inom den globala, akademiska hållbarhetsredovisningslitteraturen för att utreda innebörden av dessa begrepp samt för att utreda hur dessa begrepp förhåller sig till varandra. Studien genomförs med hjälp av en litteraturstudie där 12 artiklar väljs ut genom ett intensitetsurval och sedan analyseras och jämförs med varandra.

The world is getting smaller. Global markets, political processes and communication technology bring people together. Even though many of these processes are dynamic and constructive, they have also resulted in a need for better and more effective ways of international conflict resolution. This thesis investigates central issues connected to the concept of humanitarian interventions in relation to current and future legislation of the European Union. The overall question is whether the rapid globalization process has resulted in a change of international law towards more liberal view where authorization of the security council is not always needed? And, if there has actually been such a liberalization, how does that affect the legal possibilities for the European Union to carry out armed operations without the consent of the global community?The conclusion of the thesis is that international law has been modified mainly in two aspects: First, the concept of sovereignty is no longer seen merely as a right of the nation, but also as a Responsibility.

Background                      European football has during the past decades seen a fast development towards a more professionalized and commercialized climate. This had led to the fact that a lot of clubs are run like any other company, and the focus on marketing and market shares has increased. To be able to create a strong brand clubs have to put a lot of work into marketing, not only of their own brand, but of their sponsors and partners as well.Purpose                              The purpose of this study is to (in step 1) analyze how two smaller Swedish football clubs build their brand and work with their marketing communication. In step 2, the purpose is to create a model of how these clubs may work to develop their brand and marketing communication.Method                              With a qualitative approach, the authors of this paper have analyzed text and documents as well as performed two in-depth interviews.Findings                             Both clubs lack a well-developed strategy regarding their work with their brand and marketing communication. However, there are in both cases factors that, if developed correctly, could help build a stronger brand and better the marketing communication.

To create a more accessible environment for disabled people, the Swedish government, in the year of 2001, made the national act of easily eliminated obstacles valid. This national act states that all easily eliminated obstacles in the municipalities, in places and in premises that are public, shall be removed before the end of 2010, no matter if the owner of the place or premise is private or public. According to Boverket, most of the municipalities are not going to be able to reach that goal, why? The aim of this thesis is to compare the two municipalities Kalmar and Karlskrona in their way of implementing this national act, to see where it went wrong and why. By using implementation theories and qualitative empirical data in the form of interwievs with the total of eight people from different administrations in both of the municipalities, the subject was analyzed and discussed.

BackgroundType 1 diabetes is a chronically disease that often occurs in early life. In every year around 77.000 children in the world is estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a child gets a chronically disease it affects the whole family, specially the parents who will be the child's caregiver.AimThe aim of this study was to describe parents experiences of living with a child with type 1 diabetes.MethodA literature review was carried trough based on 10 qualitative scientific articles. The articles were analyzed and two main themes and seven subthemes emerged.ResultsAll parents experienced that they needed some kind of support particularly early in their illness. They felt it was a big Responsibility to take care of their child with diabetes and parents often felt anxiety and fear associated with the disease.

Ambulanssjukvården har på kort tid utvecklats från att vara en transportorganisation till en avancerad del av sjukvården. Utvecklingen av ambulanssjukvården innefattar den medicintekniska utrustningen, behandling, omvårdnad och personalens kompetens. Samtidigt har antalet utförda ambulansuppdrag ökat det senaste årtiondet. Vad som ofta beskrivs som ett problem är felanvändning och överutnyttjande av ambulanser. Detta försvårar möjligheterna till god och säker vård. Därför har syftet med denna studie varit att lyfta fram allmänhetens kunskaper om ambulanssjukvården och dess organisation och kompetens samt vilka förväntningar allmänheten har på ambulanssjukvården. Studien genomfördes som en enkätundersökning bestående av åtta slutna frågor.

The main purpose of this Master thesis is to illuminate the understanding of local politicians regarding the public libraries and the librarians. We argue that the local politicians´ opinions regarding public libraries and librarians influence the way they act and react in their roles as politicians.In order to achieve the aim of this thesis we focused on following questions:What are the opinions of the politicians:- regarding themselves in relation to the public library?- concerning public libraries in general and its functions especially in the municipalities of their own?- concerning the librarians and their work in a public function?What are the conclusions to be drawn regarding the politicians´ interest and commitment to public libraries in the politic daily-life of the municipalities? Our empiric material consists of qualitative interviews with six politicians elected in two municipalities in the interior of Västerbotten, a northern sparsely populated district. In order to distinguish the various opinions that emerge from the material, we apply a phenomenographic approach. The analysis result we present in three conceivable categories in order to express the different opinions.In general our study points at a positive and favourable attitude to the public library, and all the respondents assume that the municipality ought to offer this service.

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyse the possibilities and problems facing a privatised work injury insurance. This discussion includes the element of premium differentiation. Todays´ Swedish social insurance system is ineffectively formed. The costs have dramatically increased during the 1990´s. The Swedish government is now looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the system.

Intresset för företagens sociala ansvarstagande och dess bakomliggande faktorer har på senaretid ökat snabbt och många olika aspekter har studerats. Vi har i denna uppsats undersökt hurföretags ägarkoncentration, storleken på deras största ägare samt ägande av finansiellainstitutioner påverkar kvalitén på företagens sociala ansvarstagande i ett svenskt kontext. Denmetod som använts är en multipel linjär regression där sambandet mellan ovan nämndavariabler och kvalitén på företags sociala ansvarstagande testats. Resultaten visar inte pånågot signifikant samband mellan ägarkoncentration och kvalitén på företags socialaansvarstagande medan storleken på den största ägaren visar sig ha en negativ inverkan ochägande av finansiella institutioner en positiv inverkan på kvalitén av det socialaansvarstagandet. Då resultaten gällande storleken på den största ägaren ochägarkoncentrationen skiljer sig från resultat i andra länder skulle det kunna implicera attSveriges institutionella bakgrund påverkar storägares inställning till socialt ansvarstagande..

Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, är ett medel som företagen använder sig av för att leva upp till de ökade krav som omvärlden ställer på dem, framförallt när det kommer till frågor om etik, samhället, och miljön. Den externa kommunikationen blir ett naturligt led i att föra ut information om företagets CSR-arbete till omvärlden, och det är i slutändan de anställda som, i sin kontakt med kunderna, står för mycket av den kommunikationen. Att beskriva och analysera hur Lindex respektive Folksams CSR-arbete kommuniceras ut till de anställda, utgör syftet i studien. För att hjälpa oss att beskriva och analysera den interna kommunikationen, introduceras i teoriavsnittet en kommunikationsmodell som skildrar den kommunikativa handlingens förlopp, från sändare till mottagare. Teorin ger även en förståelse för begreppen internkommunikation och informationsöverflöd samt några vanliga kommunikationskanaler, där bland; arbetsplatsträffar och intranät.

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis is to examine university librarians? perceptions of information literacy, of students? information literacy and of education in information literacy. The focus is on how they perceive the students? information literacy development during their university studies. Also of interest in this study is how librarians think that their teaching in information literacy should be included in the students? other courses. Three librarians at a Swedish university library were interviewed using qualitative interviews.

The Swedish school is today a meeting place for many people with different cultures. The teacher education at Södertörn University have since 2002 been influenced by an intercultural profile. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the intercultural profile of Södertörn University is expressed in preschool- teachers/ teachers work. Is an intercultural approach requested in schools and is intercultural approach useful and applicable in the teaching profession? The report is based on a qualitative study of what intercultural competence means for five preschool- teachers/ teachers who have graduated from Södertörn University.
