Here is presented the result and discussion of a survey concerning the psychosocial environment in a school in the vicinity of Stockholm. The theoretical background of this study was the model of demand-control by Theorell, and various aspects of stress by Frankenhauser and Ödman. The survey was constituted of an inquiry form which was handed out to six different classes at the school. A total of 86 students filled in the form, and their answers were treated with standard statistical procedures to reveal the results. The inquiry form was made up by five parts; one that concerned the background of the Respondent, one that reflected the psychosocial health and stress level and three parts that concerned discrimination, victimization and school democracy.

När företag ska besluta var man ska etablera sin verksamhet finns det en rad olika lokaliseringsfaktorer som spelar in: bland annat närhet till marknader och andra företag, platsens kostnad och infrastruktur, tillgång till rätt arbetskraft, statlig påverkan samt företagsklimat och livskvalitet. Angered, som är Göteborgs mest segregerade stadsdel, har en väldigt hög arbetslöshet och få arbetstillfällen inom den privata sektorn. För arbetssökande i segregerade bostadsområden är närhet till arbetsmarknaden viktigt för chanserna till att få jobb och Angered behöver därmed göras mer attraktivt för företag.Den här studiens syfte var att undersöka hinder och drivkrafter för lokalisering av arbetstillfällen inom den privata sektorn i Göteborgs segregerade stadsdel Angered. Uppsatsens frågeställningar var:1. Vilka är de främsta orsakerna bakom bristen på arbetstillfällen inom den privata sektorn lokaliserade i Angered?2.

Psykosomatiska symtom hos barn är mycket utbredda globalt. I olika studier varierar förekomsten av psykosomatiska symtom, delvis på grund av användning av olika datainsamlingsmetoder. En intressant fråga är betydelsen av Respondenten. I denna kvantitativa studie jämfördes utvalda psykosomatiska symtom hos barn rapporterade av barnen själva samt rapporterade av deras vårdnadshavare. Studien bygger på data om 4548 barn i årskurs 4 och 7 som insamlades för elevhälsodatabasen ELSA i Värmland.Analysen visade ett svagt samband i rapporteringen av symtom, en stor variation i rapporteringsmönstret främst med avseende på konkret symtom.

Nowadays, the establishment of new touch screen technology has changed significantly the way we navigate on the Internet. The requirement to design websites that adapt to various artifacts such as touch screen computers are increasingly a need to consider. The purpose of this study is to discover - What are the specific usability requirements should be addressed in designing of websites for touch screen computers? - In order to examine the essay?s question, it presents a study where five people visiting three different websites on the touch screen computer Ipad. The study was conducted using a participant and structured interview observation in form of a think-aloud method.

This master thesis is written in the purpose to discover which attitudes the public libraries in Sweden and Denmark have towards offering popular music to their patrons, how they motivates their choices and why they make the choices they make. The essay focuses on the differences and similarities between the Swedish and Danish libraries and relates their attitudes to the Finnish researcher Sanna Taljas three discourses regarding music policies in libraries.We examined this by sending out a question sheet to public libraries in Sweden and Denmark, the questions were regarding popular music's place in the library and how they build up their music collection. The question sheets were sent out to a total of 116 libraries of which 46 were Danish.The conclusions we drew after our examination were that Danish and Swedish public libraries have a lot in common in the way they regard and distribute popular music in the public libraries. Both of the Respondent groups puts user demand high on the priority list as well as having a collection that holds significant works of many genres..

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utifrån det psykologiska kontraktet och tre hypoteserundersöka dimensioner av relationen mellan chefer och medarbetare och belysaskillnader. Undersökningen bygger på enkätsvar från 81 medarbetare och 18 cheferfrån två organisationer. Vi behandlar i uppsatsen fem dimensioner av relationenmellan chefer och medarbetare, dessa är uppförande, rättvisa, trygghet, förtroendeoch kommunikation. Två av dimensionerna skiljer sig mellan grupperna när vi testarom det finns skillnader beroende på vilket företag en Respondent tillhör och endimension skiljer sig när vi undersöker om det finns skillnader i uppfattningenmellan chefer och medarbetare. När vi jämför ett internationellt företag med ettmindre, lokalt, företag får vi resultat som motsäger vårt antagande att skillnaderi uppfattning om relationens dimensioner är större i det internationella företaget.Vi drar slutsatsen att relationens dimensioner inte är beroende av varandra utanpåverkas av olika faktorer.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate on what perspective or perspectives university teachers and librarians at a medium-sized university in Sweden base their view on information literacy. More specifically, how do the Respondents view their own information literacy and what opinions they have of their students? information literacy as professionals. Three perspectives are used to interpret the results, the sociocultural perspective, the phenomenographical perspective and the behavioristic perspective.The method used is semi structured interviews with three university teachers and three librarians.Both librarians and teachers emphasize the importance of information literacy, for themselves as well as for students. The information literacy of the librarians involves being well acquainted with the subjects of the students.

The aim of this paper was to examine the specific experience of being bicultural, what ackulturation strategy the person utilized and what influenced the use of this strategy. The findings were analyzed with the help of Pierre Bourdieu?s concepts of habitus and cultural capital. The empirical data was collected through qualitative interviews with four women of Chilean background, who either were born in or had been living in Sweden since childhood. The results of the interviews showed that all the Respondents predominantly utilized the integration strategy, meaning that they participated in and felt a connection to both the Swedish and Chilean culture.

Today, we see tendencies of politicians being more active in social media using selfies. According to previous research using selfies is associated with being self-centered and narcissistic. It is not known though what implications the behavior will have for a selfie-using politician in terms of chances of being elected. This study aims to contribute to the research on political communication and social media behavior. More specifically the study intends to investigate whether there is a difference between voters' views if a politician uses selfies or not, and whether there is a difference by gender.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the situation for ebooksin Swedish public libraries. The background is anincreasing lending of e-books in public libraries, with anacquisition model formed when e-books were more of anexperiment in a few libraries. The debate has escalated in therecent years and in this thesis I aim to investigate thelibraries? experience with e-books and the current pricemodel. The empirical material comes from interviews witheight head of public libraries in the Västra Götaland region.As theoretical background, I have used Michael Buckland?sfour roles of collections and price models from Lee andBoyle.My results show ambivalence with the price model.

Bakgrund: Då sjuknärvaro kan ge konsekvenser för framtida ohälsa och sjukfrånvaro är det ett viktigt område att undersöka. Syfte: Att klarlägga vilka faktorer som var avgörande för val av sjuknärvaro vid ett av Försäkringskassans lokala- och nationella försäkringscenter, samt att belysa frekvens och jämföra orsak till val av sjuknärvaro mellan de två kontoren. Metod: Studien genomfördes med en kvantitativ enkätundersökning. Urvalskriteriet var en anställningstid på minst 12 månader. Detta resulterade i 176 Respondenter varav 116 stycken svarade.

My essay aims to explore, "What image is conveyed by the stone mason's life and work on Korpåsberget". In my essay I have been working with Respondent interviews to examine the purpose. I've been trying to get interviewees to talk freely, but have also had a number of indicative questions for support. In order to process and understand the interviews, I also have a part in the essay aiming to provide background information to the stone industry in Bohuslän, an area along the westcoast in Sweden, and foremost in the area of Bovallstrand.The text discusses the stone industry's development in the area, its development and the time until the stone industry at large was closed. As for the stone industry in Bovallstrand I have chosen to focus on the largest quarry in society, namely the Korpåsberget. The background text also briefly covers stonecutter?s lives and work.

This Master?s thesis is the first to quantitatively study the prevalence of library anxiety at a Swedish university. Library anxiety is a concept describing the negative feelings students can experience when using the library. The study was conducted using web questionnaires sent out to 512 students at Växjö university. 38 % responded and the results were analysed with the help of, amongst other methods, correlation studies.

The aim of this study was to examine young adult cannabis users? attitudes towards cannabis and their perception of the normalization of cannabis. The purpose was also to explore how their views of cannabis correspond with norms regarding cannabis. This study is based on interviews with five young adult cannabis users. The theoretical framework is based on Parker?s normalization thesis, Goffman?s notion of stigma, Becker?s definition of outsiders and the definition of social identity developed by Stone.

The aim of this qualitative Respondent investigation is to delve into the various views that teachers have concerning the ?One-to-One project?, as well as the use of computers as an aid in teaching. One-to-One means that teachers and students will be equipped with a laptop they can use at home and at school.This essay looks at how several factors have changed as a result of this. These factors are threefold: the role of the teacher, the teaching experience, and the student´s learning process. In order to answer the mentioned questions, four interviews have been conducted at two different high schools in southern Norrland.
