The aim is to examine how students with attention difficulties may demonstrate their mathematical understanding through visual Representations. A curiosity about how students think about mathematics, national tests and Concepts cartoons has also permeated the study. With help of observations combined with interviews and actively work for a week, the study shows an idea of how visual Representations can help students with concentration difficulties to stay focused on their tasks. I chose a selection of pupils to do some mathematical tasks from the national tests which they had not been able to solve before. Now in the form of Concepts cartoons, which I designed, they managed to solve the same mathematics data. In my study treatment and interaction reveals as key pillars for a successful educational work with the students with concentration difficulties. Thus, all pupils who previously have been unable to solve these assignments on the National test were now able to show their mathematical understanding supported by visual Representations..

This thesis uses the ?What's the problem?-approach developed by Carol LeeBacchi. This approach studies how the problem that a certain policy is supposedto take care of is represented. Each Representation will rest upon certainassumptions and will accordingly support certain solutions while other solutionswill be considered less suitable to the problem as it is represented.The thesis therefore evaluates the competing problem Representations forgender mainstreaming in Sweden. The theory chapter explores two developmentpossibilities for gender mainstreaming, based on diversity and deliberativedemocracy.

Also, if we are going to be able to reach a truly sustainable society it is my belief that there is a need for a more integrated collaboration between different actors. Where the social, economic and ecological values can influence and benefit from each other. The question then is, how can the planning system accommodate that kind of collaboration? Purpose My aim for this thesis has been to study a selection of the theoretical work that exist about collaborative planning.

Dessa intryck påverkar sedan våra uppfattningar och känslor rörande olika situationer och begrepp. Framförallt kan man säga att film gör värderingar synliga genom de grundläggande bilder de presenterar av olika fenomen. Med utgångspunkt i detta har denna uppsats som sitt syfte att undersöka följande: ?Vilken bild förmedlar film av nutida svensk landsbygd??.

Abstract: The purpose with this study was to explore different peoples preconceived opinions of three psychiatric diagnoses; Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), schizophrenia and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). These designations are accompanied by a definite social stigma, which could have profound effects on a person diagnosed with either disorder. These designations carry the risk of excluding and labelling individuals and could provoke a feeling of abnormality and potentially segregate them from the Community. This study is a qualitative study of six individuals, (sample size equals six). The rationale behind the selection was to get a broad Representation of different individuals? opinions.

Bakgrund: Bolagsstyrelser har blivit allt mer uppmärksammade och intressanta i dagens mediebevakning efter flertalet bonus- och svindlerihärvor. Flera gånger har röster påpekat att dessa styrelser varit för homogena och saknat mångfald som av den anledningen agerat för sitt och inte företagets bästa.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att se hur mångfalden i svenska bolagsstyrelser ser ut, med avseende på kön, nationalitet och ålder samt hur dessa variabler samvarierar med företagsspecifika egenskaper som branschtillhörighet, storlek och ålder.Metod: En kvantitativ studie genomfördes som sedan statistiskt testades mot nio hypoteser grundade i tidigare forskning. Dessa hypoteser prövades sedan i statistikverktyget SPSS för att försöka finna samband mellan de olika variablerna.Slutsats: Undersökningen fann viss positiv samvarians mellan börsvärde och andel utländska medborgare samt börsvärde och kvinnoandel i styrelsen. Det går även att dra tydliga kopplingar till att de äldre företagen i undersökningen uppvisade en högre kvinnlig Representation i sina styrelser än yngre företag..

Detta kandidatprojekt har skett på uppdrag av företaget Sund Birsta och har genomförts påChalmers tekniska högskola. Företaget utvecklar, tillverkar och säljer stålverksutrustning till eninternationell marknad. Syftet med projektet har varit att skapa en prototyp av en användarvänligoch lättnavigerad kundportal baserad på Sund Birstas behov.Arbetet inleddes med en förstudie bestående av en litteraturstudie och ett besök hos företaget iSundsvall för att få en förståelse och en bra grund för det fortsatta arbetet. En kravspecifikationtogs fram efter besöket för att få en bra överblick över vad som skulle ingå i prototypen.Implementeringen utfördes enligt extremprogrammeringsmetoden där parprogrammeringanvändes. Det grafiska gränssnittet togs fram med hjälp av mock-ups och ett färgschemaskapades med hjälp av olika webbverktyg.Slutresultatet blev en prototyp implementerad i programmeringsspråket PHP och ramverketCodeIgniter.

In this study we examine to what extent people with disability participate in television news and how they are represented. We chose to examine one broadcast per day of SVT Public Service news program Rapport and commercial channel TV4 Nyheterna (TV4 News) during one month using quantitative content analysis and qualitative discourse analysis.We found that people with disability are underrepresented in television news. In Rapport only 1,9 percent of the total broadcasting time contained people with disability and in TV4 Nyheterna 3 percent of the total broadcasting time contained people with disability. In the news people with disability were often represented as stereotypes, most commonly as victims. The focus was often on the medical aspect of the disability and on the problems that people with disability had.

The starting point for this essay is that the humourus series with the more or less geeky main characters is more than just entertainment - it is a part of the mediatization of religion. This means that media is affecting the recipients? view on religion in general and the personal religion.

This examination work aims to describe how a supply chain around the biggest pellets factory in Sweden will be configured in a logistic perspective. The plant and associated infrastructure are in the building phase and will have production start on the 2 November 2009. The key question that is set in this examination work is to recognize the logistic processes which are essential for an effective flow of materials and information that link the source of supply with the ultimate customer. In order to get the answer, a flowcharting of these supply chain processes is required for understanding the pipeline activities such as input and storage of raw material, the production system and the output of pellets to the customers. The basis for this supply chain map is a model-based Representation of these logistic processes and activities that are involved around the pellets factory.

The Swedish and Icelandic women's movements, the Support Stockings and the Women's Alliance both had the goal to change their nation's women politics. The goal was to increase the low Representation of women in their parliaments and to highlight women issues on the political agenda. The essay shows that the most important reason behind the will to form a party, was a new issue being disregarded by existing parties, although there is a considerable interest concerning the issue amongst society. While a party was formed on Iceland the Swedish equivalence did not occur. Even though only one party was formed, both movements achieved the same results.

The aim of the study is to show how children and adults are described in three picture books, examining how children and adults are portrayed in text-and-picture narrative and how this has changed over time. We have analysed how the characters in the books are presented and how the Representation of children and adults has changed in our own times.The material for the study consists of three picture books from different periods, with the focus on how children and adults are described as the common point of departure. The analysed picture books are: Tomtebobarnen (Beskow 1919), Aja baja, Alfons Åberg! (Bergström 1972) and Snäll (Dahle 2008).We have arrived at the conclusion that a text-and-picture narrative is in very large measure a reflection of the outlook on children, childhood and child rearing at the time when the book was published. The result shows that the greatest change that has happened is that parents? and adults? dominance in the books has declined over the years, and that children have been given a more prominent role.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka den bild som ges av manlighet och manlig identitet i fem olika självhjälpsböcker om manlig identitet riktade mot unga killar.En diskursteoretisk metod har använts för att urskilja vilka olika maskuliniteter som finns representerade i böckerna och hur de inbördes relationerna mellan dessa ser ut. Utöver detta har också de förändringstankar som drivs i böckerna och deras förhållningssätt till makt-relationer mellan könen analyserats.I nästan samtliga böcker finns någon form av konflikt mellan en traditionell maskulinitet, ofta benämnd som machomannen, och en modernare maskulinitet. Exakt vad denna kamp handlar om skiljer sig dock kraftigt åt böckerna emellan. Det kanske största gemensamma draget är dock att mannens sexualitet i samtliga böcker framstår som stark, självklar och mer eller mindre central i alla mäns identitet..
