Depression - ett kvinnligt fenomen? : hur massmedia framställer bilden av unga kvinnor och flickor med depression

Under de senaste åren har det inom olika medier förekommit intensiva rapporteringar och debatter om fenomenet depression, hos kvinnor. Kvinnors sjuklighet har alltmer kommit att betraktas som orsakade av biologiska faktorer. Inom psykologin söker man finna könsskillnader i egenskaper och beteenden, ett område som massmedia visat stort intresse för. Uppsatsens syfte har varit att undersöka hur unga kvinnor och flickor med depression framställts i svensk dags? och kvällspress, vilka orsaker som angivits till uppkomsten av deras depressioner samt om man uppmärksammat detta ur ett genusperspektiv.

Symptombild vid hjärtinfarkt hos kvinnor : en litteraturstudie

Bakgrund: Definition för hjärtinfarkt är nekros i myokardiet på grund av ischemi. Varje år dör 7.2 miljoner människor i världen av hjärtinfarkt, av dessa är 3.4 miljoner eller 47 procent kvinnor. I hälso och sjukvårdslagen finns reglerat som lag följande text, ?Målet för hälso- och sjukvården är en god hälsa och en vård på lika villkor för hela befolkningen?. Sharing is Caring : En studie om viral marknadsföring i ideella organisationer.

The increased use of social media in recent years has attracted the attention of different kinds of nonprofit organisations. The purpose of this study is to identify a foundation for viral strategies for nonprofit organisations as well as to understand the current interactivity between the organisation and its followers in social media. Following that we have chosen the research question: In what ways can nonprofit organisations develop viral marketing in social media? The study has a qualitative research methodology with empirical findings as base. We have throughout the research process strived for an inductive nature in the study though there are deductive elements.

Dynamisk kunskapsorganisation: teoretisk ansats och implementering

Knowledge organization is perceived as a central, constituting activity defining the notion of libraries. Critique calling for a new theoretical foundation voiced by active researchers within library and information science concerning the current knowledge organization has been utilized as a point of departure. Specifications concerning a new theoretical foundation implied by these critiques are considered within this thesis and theory found in The Order of Things by Michel Foucault proposed as an alternative theory for understanding knowledge organization as a human science where meaning, value and representation, by which the ordering of things is possible, is acknowledged as a result of human activity and history. Thus meaning, value and representation must be perceived as dynamic. An example of implementation of the proposed theory has been achieved by the use of bibliometrics.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the Swedish media framed the political party, the Swedish Democrats, two weeks prior to the election of parliament in 2014. This essay starts with the historical background of the political party, the Swedish Democrats, and continues with the theoretical framework for the essay. The theoretical framework consists of three theories: framing, media logic and media?s role in the democratic society. The essay?s main problem is presented as the question: What media image was there of the Swedish Democrats before the election of parliament in 2014? The main problem is answered by using a quantitative content analysis on the essay?s empirical material, 68 news articles from four Swedish daily newspapers.

This paper intends to show how micro- and small businesses in the tourism and experience industry makes use of social media as a marketing tool. The study also shows the possibilities for businesses to market themselves to customers through social media. Small businesses usually don?t have the same conditions or the same marketing resources that larger companies have. For small businesses that lack marketing resources, social media is a great addition to marketing since the technology around social media is relatively simple.

Varje dag läser, hör och ser vi från massmedia om kvinnor som blir utsatta för våld av män i olika former. Via massmedia förmedlas det till samhället och allmänheten om kvinnor som blir våldtagna, misshandlade och verbalt vanärade. I denna rapport har vi valt att inrikta oss på den grupp våldsutsatta kvinnor som stannar kvar i en otrygg partnerrelation, där de inte kan känna sig trygga i sitt eget hem. De som blir utsatta av våld av sin egen man. Vi har inhämtat och läst in oss på material som belyser Normaliseringsprocessen, Stockholmssyndromet och Duluth-modellen detta för att få en djupare förståelse om varför kvinnor stannar.

A large part of the daily life today means being active online and to take part in the interactions that occur there. The accessibility which social media brings, means that you can reach and be reached in several ways and there are many different ways in which information can be disseminated. Social media supports the learning process. The aim of this study is to examine how upper secondary schools students' use of social media and how it can be used as a tool for informal learning. Our study is based on the socio-cultural perspective where interaction and social cohesion is a big part.

Framtidens samarbete mellan näringsliv och studenter - Relationsskapande aktiviteter

Purpose: The purpose of the essay is; to explain and clarify how the company is acting to lead members in social media to achieve valuable external communication. The authors believe that it is important to act with credibility and quality in social media, to accomplish long lasting relationships. When employees communicate with consumers their conduct is relevant to the company's credibility.Methodology: An inductive approach has been used for the empirical data collection since the authors have been studying the reality without existing theories. A qualitative research method has been used for collecting the empirical material. Primary data was collected from telephone interviews with seven companies, active in social media.Conclusions: The study shows that the power of employees? can be used when designing strategies for social media.

Purpose/Aim: This study is an analysis of the view on masculinity, male sexuality and creation of identity with the television series Queer as folk as a base. The analysis is partly based on a semiotic analysis of the representation of masculinity and male sexuality from an episode of the chosen television series Queer as folk, and partly based on a thematic analysis of focus group discussions with young men with different sexualities.Material/Method: This study is based on focus group interviews and a semiotic and thematic analysis. The focus groups consisted of three men in three different groups and were chosen on the criteria of gender and sexuality. All groups were presented with an episode of the television series Queer as folk to see how they perceived masculinity and male sexuality. Their discussions were analyzed with a thematic analysis and the television series Queer as folk with a semiotic analysis.Main results: The three analyzed characters in Queer as folk showed different representations of masculinity and male sexuality.

"Man får allting gratis liksom" : En kvalitativ studie om ungas medieanva?ndning med avseende pa? samha?llsinformation

Introduction: In today?s contemporary society individuals can use multiple media- channels to find civic information. Civic information should reach all groups of society and according to previous research young people are relatively hard to reach with this type of information.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate how young, highly educated individuals in Sweden are using media channels to find and take part in civic information, the expectations they have of the information and if they consider that they need to participate in public discourse.Methodology: In this qualitative study we had a hermeneutic perspective with an abductive approach. We have collected our empirical material by doing interviews with 15 respondents. The respondents are students and were chosen based on both their knowledge and their interest in media and communication since we were looking for a broad view on the subject.Conclusion: Through this study we discovered that young individuals mainly use the social-media channel Facebook to get updated on civic information.

This paper is based on a quantitative survey. The study aims to answer the questionwhich media young people rather use to take part of the news. The results showthat young people today in Kalmar preferably and often read newspapers on theInternet and mobile phone.The questions asked was about which media they usually use, the level ofconfidence they had in various media, how interest was in different newscategories, willingness to pay for online news and background issues relatedsubjects. The survey was aimed at high school students in Kalmar and weredistributed and collected on-site at the schools. What was remarkable among theresponses was that young people largely had access to a morning newspaper athome and said that they would consider subscribing to one in the future.

En riktig skärgårdsbo : en etnologisk studie om kvinnor, kön och kompetens i Roslagen

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om kvinnor i Roslagens ytterskärgård haft en högre ställning än kvinnor på fastlandet. Frågeställningarna har kretsat kring kön och kompetens.Materialet som använts är kvalitativa intervjuer, personliga anteckningar, minnen och dagboksutdrag där skärgårdsbornas egna berättelser har varit i centrum. Med hjälp av en metod kallad snöbollsmetoden har materialet samlats i samspel med informanterna där ?det ena gett det andra? likt en snöboll som växer ju längre den rullar. Metoden tillsammans med teoretiska utgångspunkter som intersektionalitet och genussystemet har legat till grund för den etnografiska skrivprocess som också varit en stor del av analysarbetet.Resultatet visar att kvinnor i skärgården har haft en högre ställning än kvinnor på land, troligen främst på grund av att den särskilda skärgårdskompetens, som barn på öar fått då de växt upp, varit oumbärlig för familjernas överlevnad såväl ekonomiskt som fysiskt.Nyckelord: kvinnor,.

Medias roll i samhället: lokala mediers bevakning av IKEA:s etablering i Haparanda

Studien behandlar medias roll i vårt samhälle samt granskar lokala mediers framställning av Ikeas etablering i Haparanda. Fokus har legat på två frågeställningar: 1. Vilken roll spelar media i dagens samhälle? och 2. Hur används media av samhället? Den första besvaras genom att kommunikationsteorier, medieteorier och sociologiska medieteorier används, detta för att få en grund till varför media är viktigt och senare kunna svara på vilken roll media har i samhället.
