Until the beginning of the 1900:th century the paper making process was handicraft. The paper machines that have been developed since then are as impressing in size as fascinating when it comes to the technique. The process has always been improved to give a better paper for lower costs, with as short manufacture time as possible. Stratified forming has been a reality since 1830. From the beginning it was applied to board and paperboard.

The problem of separating a non-rectangular foreground image from a background image is a classical problem in image processing and analysis, known as matting or keying. A common example is a film frame where an actor is extracted from the background to later be placed on a different background. Compositing of these objects against a new background is one of the most common operations in the creation of visual effects. When the original background is of non-constant color the matting becomes an under determined problem, for which a unique solution cannot be found. This thesis describes a framework for computing mattes from images with backgrounds of non-constant color, using Bayesian statistics.

Uppsatsen behandlar ledarskap inom verkstadsindustrin där utgångspunkten för arbetet utgårfrån en enkätundersökning vid tre medelstora verkstadsindustrier. Syftet med uppsatsen är attjämföra chefers självbild med medarbetarnas omdömen om dennes ledarskap för att se om detfinns några skillnader och i så fall var. Bakgrunden till ämnesvalet kommer från vårt egetintresse för just ledarskapsfrågor, och just för att dessa frågor är viktiga för att en organisationskall uppnå en så hög effektivitet som möjligt med bibehållen arbetsmiljö för medarbetarna.Analysen i vår uppsats tar sin form utifrån det teoretiska forskningsfält som finns inomområdet med utgångspunkt ibland annat Blake och Moutons Grid-modell, samt McGregorsteori X och Y.För att ta reda på om det finns några skillnader chefer och medarbetare emellan har vi använtoss utav den kvalitativa forskningsmetoden, detta då de kvalitativa forskningsmetodersfrämsta avsikt är att beskriva, analysera och förstå alla slags fenomen (Malterud, 1998). Vihar utformat en enkät med fasta svarsalternativ som vi delat ut till VD:arna för företagen samt10 kontorsarbetare och 10 verkstadsarbetare vid varje företag.När vi valt de organisationer som vi har undersökt i uppsatsen har vi använt oss av ettsubjektivturval då vi först och främst ville undersöka ledarskap inom verkstadsindustrin. Vidval av respondenter använde vi oss utav stratifierat urval.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine how the literature criticism are in the Swedish media in the reception of the novel Mosquitoes and tigers from 2007 written by the Swedish author Maja Lundgren. A second aim is to examine how master suppression techniques have been used by the literature critics in the newspaper debate. This qualitative study is based upon a total of 52 articles and reviews from five big Swedish newspapers. The theoretical approach, literature criticism, mainly originates from the Swedish professor in Literature Science Tomas Forser and the literature scholar Gunnar Hansson.

This thesis discuss the matter of non-profit-making associations as a self regulatory technique out of a theoretical concept of power. The object for the study is the non-profit-making association Ditt Nya Hageby, which work in the neigborhood of Hageby, a suburb to Norrköping. In the study the association is placed in a contemporary postmodern social context and analyzed through semi- structured qualitative interviews, accordingly to hermeneutical method, with five active members of the association as informants. The association consists of members who lives in the neighborhood. Together with a hired organizer they realizes their own ideas in to projects which unquestionably improves the social and physical enviroment in Hageby.

The Swedish government has made the decision to transform the talking book system from an analogue system to a digital system called DAISY by the end of 2004. The purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how public libraries are affected by this system change. This is carried out by studying the current situation in public libraries concerning the transition to DAISY. This qualitative oriented study is primarily based on interviews with four librarians and three library managers at six public libraries. Management by objectives is here seen as a suitably theoretical framework since public municipal libraries are partly regulated by the governments goals and laws.

The aim of this essay is to examine four floor mosaics from private dwellings in Pompeii. These 1st century floor mosaics decorate the fauces of the houses and they all depict watchdogs. The first question to be asked is if there are other common features between the houses that can explain why these house owners chose this figure. The second question is if you can reveal, from the existing knowledge about the house owners, the same information. The third question to be asked is if the watchdog mosaics have anything to do with the location of the houses in Pompeii.

Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande studie är att studera hur pedagoger i gymnasiesärskolan anpassar klassrumsmiljön för sina elever samt pedagogernas uppfattningar om kritiska situationer och hur de anser att man kan bemöta dessa.Teori: De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för studien är sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande samt relationellt och kategoriskt perspektiv.Metod: Studien är inspirerad av etnografisk forskningsansats och Critical Incident Technique (CIT). Två gymnasiesärskolor i Sverige har besökts där intervjuer och enkäter har genomförts med verksamma pedagoger. Även deltagande observationer har utförts i och kring klassrum på de båda skolorna. Resultat: Resultatet visar att de observerade klassrumsmiljöerna både är anpassade och inte för de elever som vistas där. En del klassrum är röriga och en del är mer avskalade.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att analysera hur ett framtida specifikt skydd för visselblåsare bör se ut i svensk lag. Norsk rätt till skydd för visselblåsare och Europarådets krav på sådan lagstiftning analyseras och jämförs för att kunna besvara syftet. Svensk rätt ger idag ett visst skydd för visselblåsare, dock erhåller alla inte samma skydd eftersom yttrandefriheten enbart gäller mot det allmänna. Det partiella skydd som finns är svåröverskådligt eftersom regleringen finns inom flera olika rättskällor.I norsk rätt har alla rätt till yttrandefrihet i anställningsförhållandet. Anställda har också rätt att varsla om kritikvärdiga förhållanden när det sker på ett försvarligt sätt, då råder ett repressalieförbud.

The public sector is a major purchaser of goods and services. By setting requirements for environmental and social considerations in public procurement, an authority has the possibility to use consumer power to influence the actors in a market. The purpose of this paper is to investigate public procurement of textile products in a municipality, in order to gain knowledge about factors that may be important for the use of environmental and social criteria. Håkan Hydén´s (professor in sociology of law) norm model was used as the basis of the analysis, where the conduct was investigated along three dimensions of the norm ? willingness, knowledge and system conditions ? in order to identify underlying factors that can influence the process.The results ? analyzed by using interviews and documents ? show that the procurer's willingness, motivation and knowledge are important factors in this context, as well as the political priority of the municipality.

This master thesis has been performed at Solvina in Gothenburg for Skellefteå Kraftand Vattenfall Eldistribution. The aim of it is to investigate the consequences of theinstallation of a wind power plant on the mountain Uljabuouda in the vicinity ofArjeplog. Especially the impacts on voltage and transient stability are examined.Furthermore, the amount of extra strain on the voltage regulation equipment and theneeds for increased regulation capabilities are looked into.The wind power plant is planned to be built by Skellefteå Kraft and connected to a130 kV grid owned by Vattenfall Eldistribution. The work comprehends the followingmain parts:- Theoretical studies aimed at wind turbines and power system stability issues.- Modelling of the type of wind turbines assumed to be built on Uljabuouda.- Simulations of different operation cases and analysis of the simulation results.The results from the simulations show that, as far as voltage stability and extraworkload on tap-changers are concerned, the wind power plant does not, in anysignificant manner, worsen the present conditions. The problem of overloading theline between Arvidsjaur and Vargfors is also minor.
