This qualitative study examines the participation that older people have in their own home care by exploring experiences of care workers. We will investigate to see if there are limitations due to financial implications in the sector. Modern day care of the elderly in Sweden is facing increasing pressures to both show cost savings whilst maintaining the same levels of service within the community. It is becoming more essential for older people to participate in their own care for the sake of their health and well-being. The method that we used for data collection was qualitative interviews.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between SOC, attitudes towards grades, and perceived stress levels among adolescents, and whether there was any difference in this relation between gender. The first research hypothesis was: "there is a gender difference to the degree of SOC, attitude to grades, and perceived stress level". The second was that "SOC and attitude to grades, predict stress in adolescents". To answer these hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was carried out among upper secondary students, 95 boys and 89 girls. The result of the analysis showed a significant difference between the gender.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to investigate the library needs of distance students. This user study has a student perspective and concentrates on the main question of which way library needs might be expressed by distance students. Associated topics addressed by this study include; the problem of learning centres lacking their own library support, how distance students look upon library support as a concept and whether distance students prefer public libraries or university libraries, and why they make this choice. These questions may give the answer to how distance students deal with information literacy. Theories chosen by the study are in the fields of pedagogical and library science, the social cultural theory by Roger Säljö and in Tom Wilson's theories on user studies and information needs.

The purpose of this study is to study the Swedish Tax information campaigns in 2010-2012. Questions about what worked better than others, and what impact this has had has been set up. The study shows that work has essentially divorced by 2011,worked with a significant amount of local material. This work had an impact on mass media published locally in newspapers. This work fits well with research in the area showing that messages should be tailored to the target audience and capture the target group's interest.

To achieve a better understanding of PSI-N´s role in the photosynthesis it is necessary to develop a method for purification of PSI-N. The goal with this project was to design a plasmid that encodes a fusion protein containing PSI-N. With use of proteases the fusion protein can be cleaved into purified PSI-N.

SecRePac is a household appliance that simplifies sorting of packaging such as milk, juice and yogurt containers. By shredding the packages SecRePac reduces its volume uptake both in the home and at the recycling station. This leads to minimization of both transports to the recycling stations and truck transport for emptying the containers at the recycling station.The greenhouse effect deteriorates and becomes worse and worse leading to extreme climate changes and natural disasters such as floods as an example. Carbon dioxide emissions are the major reason for this and at least 30 percent of all these emissions come directly from transports. In the EU carbon emissions has decreased in the past few years.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka arbetsgivares erfarenheter av att ha tagit emot praktikanterfrån arbetsmarknadsprojektet Korta vägen. Många utländska akademiker idag går arbetslösatrots att Sverige har en stor efterfrågan på kvalificerad arbetskraft. Som en lösning på att försökaåtgärda arbetslösheten hos denna målgrupp har Sverige utformat olika arbetsmarknadsinsatserför att underlätta intåget av utländska akademiker på arbetsmarknaden. Forskning har visat attpraktik är den mest fördelaktiga insats som genererats i de arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärdersom idag finns. Tyvärr råder hög arbetsbelastning på svenska arbetsplatser vilket gör att mångatackar nej till att ta emot praktikanter.

Syftet med vår fenomenografiska undersökning om stress i skolan är att utifrån ett elev? och åldersperspektiv få en bild av om och i så fall vad som kan stressa elever i skolan, hur de då känner sig och om de har egna åtgärder och strategier för att i så fall förändra situationen. Vår övergripande frågeställning i undersökningen är hur elever i olika årskurser förstår och upplever fenomenet stress i skolan. Det empiriska underlaget för vår kvalitativa undersökning baseras på enkäter med tre öppna frågeställningar. Undersökningen omfattar 125 enkätsvar av elever från årskurserna två, fyra, sex, sju, nio och andra året på gymnasiet.

Den första april år 2006 fick Kustbevakningen befogenheter att förelägga ordningsbot för vissa brott till sjöss. Vi önskar vi ta reda på vad detta innebär för Kustbevakningens och Polisens arbetsrutiner samt hur samarbetet mellan myndigheterna är utformat. Finns det risk för en konkurrensstämning mellan dem nu när kustbevakningen fått klassiskt polisiära befogenheter? Får vi en ökad övervakning av sjötrafiken nu när det finns två aktörer som på ett effektivt sätt kan lagföra brotten mot sjötrafikförordningen? Finns det risk för att dessa brott faller mellan stolarna då det är Polisen som i grund och botten är ansvariga för beivrande av brott men det är Kustbevakningen som i praktiken utför arbetet till sjöss? För att få svar på dessa frågor har vi hållit intervjuer med Kustbevakningen och Polisen i Härnösand. Både Polisen och Kustbevakningen anser att de nya rutinerna har anammats bra av personalen och de ser bara fördelar med det nya arbetssättet.

In April 2010 Vägverket (the Swedish National Road Agency) andBanverket (the Swedish National Railway Agency) will merge intoTrafikverket (the Swedish National Traffic Agency). Trafikverket willassume unified responsibility for the risk management that atpresent is responsibility of Vägverket and Banverket separately. Atpresent, as it will be shown in this thesis, Vägverket and Banverketshare the same theoretical background for risk management but usedifferent implementations often within the same agency. The use ofdifferent implementations results in a reduced transparency of therisk management both within and outside the agencies: this willbecome even more problematic when they will be fused intoTrafikverket.The aim of this thesis is to review the current risk managementmethodologies used at Vägverket and Banverket and to suggest aunified tool for the risk management at Trafikverket. This will bedone by focusing in particular on construction projects, one fromVägverket (Partihallsförbindelsen) and one from Banverket(Nynäsbanan).

Background: Domestic violence is a globally widespread problem. One in three women will at some point during their lifetime suffer from domestic violence. These women, who come from all groups of society, often seek contact with health care and therefore the nurse plays a vital role in caring for these women.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe nurses? experiences of caring for women subjected to domestic violence.Method: Literature review based on twelve original articles.Result: The result is presented in four main themes: Lack of knowledge and education, The nurse?s approach and attitude in the encounter with women who suffered domestic violence, The nurse?s emotional challenges in the encounter with women who suffered domestic violence and The nurse?s experience of identification of domestic violence victims.Discussion: Education is important on several levels for the nurse's work with domestic violence victims. Education is required in order to efficiently identify the women, manage emotional impact and to respond to women in a professional manner..

The purpose of this study is to examine how adolescents can participate and have influence in the society, by making obstacles and opportunities that are considered central for their possibilities to power visible. National and international research indicates that adolescents opportunities to participation and influence are limited by the structures of society. A qualitative method was chosen, in which group interviews were made with 14 youths in development areas in Örebro. Theories are presented which constitute tools for analysis of the obtained results and has been chosen based on power- and participation perspective. An analytical model has been used to illuminate what kind of participation adolescents have in different parts of the society, where the concepts from the theoretical perspectives, power and participation are inserted.

Concentration problems have been discussed from a variety of angles and have been problemized in different ways. One approach is to place the major part of the problem on the child independent of its environment. The terms used as an explanatory model are ?attention disorder, impulsiveness, difficulty at finding suitable activity levels, difficulty in understanding rules and instructions? (Kadesjö 2007). Others place the root of the problem in the environment prevalent at pre-school and school.

Mitt examensarbete handlar om koncentrationssvårigheter. Att vara koncentrerad är inte det lättaste, under en hel dag måste eleven koncentrera sig på många olika saker. Eleven måste även lära sig att koppla bort vissa ljud och händelser för att kunna koncentrera sig på det den håller på med. Att hjälpa elever med koncentrationssvårigheter behöver inte vara komplicerat, det handlar om att göra undervisningen mer enkel och konkret. Koncentrationssvårigheter kan bero på många olika faktorer som till exempel miljön runt omkring eleven eller rent biologiska orsaker.
