Inledning: Människans gudsbilder avslöjar något om de möjligheter och problemområden hon står inför. Att öka kunskapen kring hur gudsföreställningar kan bemötas i psykoterapin är viktigt för forskningen, i synnerhet i mångfaldssamhället.Syftet med studien var att undersöka patienters erfarenheter av om, och i så fall hur, psykoterapin påverkade deras föreställningar om Gud.Frågeställningarna fokuserade patienternas upplevelser av vad som skedde med deras gudsföreställningar under en psykoterapi och erfarenheterna kring vilka faktorer som eventuellt bidrog till en påverkan på dessa.Metod: Fem patienter som avslutat en psykoterapeutisk behandling intervjuades. Studien hade en kvalitativ forskningsansats och tillämpade en fenomenologisk?hermeneutisk analysmetod.Resultat: Studien visar att gudsbilderna förändras genom psykoterapi. Stränga föreställningar blir friare och nyanseras.

Bedövning eller inte vid rituell slakt är en ständigt aktuell fråga, vars lagstiftning och regler skiljer sig mellan olika länder och religiösa grupper. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att med utgångspunkt från djurets lidande utreda vilken rituell slaktmetod som ger högst djurvälfärd; slakt utan bedövning eller slakt med bultbedövning, elektrisk head-only-bedövning eller post-cut stunning. Tillvägagångssätten skiljer sig mycket mellan och inom de olika slaktmetoderna, och innefattar alla eller några av de kritiska punkterna; fixeringen, själva bedövningen, snittet samt tiden mellan snitt alternativt bedövning och förlorande av medvetandet. Fixering kan orsaka djuret lidande i form av stress eller rädsla, varför en så kort fixeringstid som möjligt med djuret i upprätt position är att föredra ur djurvälfärdssynpunkt vid såväl bedövad som obedövad slakt. Vid bedövning är det viktigt att utrustningen är i gott skick och slaktaren kompetent för att inte utsätta djuret för onödigt lidande.

ABSTRACT Within migration and globalization the concept of ethnic identity, religious identity and belonging have come to play a significant role in both immigrants? lives and as well in social context. Sweden, as a multicultural society has been dealing with different ethnic groups of immigrants and the way these minority groups perceive themselves to be and how they are perceived by others in the society has also come to be of high importance. By migrating people also change their position. They often occupy inferior positions in the society when they settle down in the new country.

The right wing party the Sweden Democrats is through their conservative and nationalist approach and socio-political heritage, connected to various extreme-right populist movements, which have all been in conflict with different branches of feminism. This connection is argued for in relation to the research survey. The party has likewise been accused of pursuing misogynistic, homophobic and racist politics, but differ from its ideological peers due to their outspoken equality policy. The party shows strong rejection of discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation or geographical, religious or ethnical background. In the analysis chapter of this study, texts produced by members of the party are analyzed by means of parts of Karlberg and Mral?s rhetoric analysis method, aiming to clarify what ideals of family and the roles within it are being constructed.

This is an essay about the political development of Iraq after the overthrow of the Baath regime by the coalition forces in 2003. In this essay I have tried to describe the rich tradition of thoughts about the afterlife in Judaism. The first part contains litterary studies and the second part is based on interviews with religious representatives. The first part is a description of the progress of thought in history around the issue afterlife. The sources reveal a vast amount of intellectual work on the issue. I have tried to follow the path of thought, and how it developed, so that the reader can see how one thought leads to the other but also how each period?s way of thinking is influnced by its context.

The aim of this study was to see whatrole psychedelic drugs can play when used in a spiritual/religious context, and whetherthese sorts of mystical states of mind could tell us about more traditional mysticalexperiences.

The aim of this study is to analyze the construction of "Christian masculinity" during the modern era. This is made in opposition to earlier research that has claimed that masculinity could not be constructed religiously, that is, without at the same time being constructed as effeminate or anti-masculine.Using a wide variety of theoretical concepts - such as discourse analysis, class, secularisation, masculinity as constructed from countertypes, and finally masculinity as a homosocial construction - I analyze a free church in Sweden, the Scanian Missionary Society (Skånes Missionssällskap), during the period of ca 1939-1945 (the society was a district of the Swedish Covenant Church, or Svenska Missionsförbundet), in order to argue for the standpoint that masculinity, in fact, could be constructed religiously. The contents of the school subject religion in Sweden, has gone through a radical change during the past century. In the prison of Kumla, Sweden`s highest security classified institution, spiritual retreats are pursued since 2001. The aim is to offer the inmates a possibility to enter deeply into spiritual contemplation. This spiritual contemplation is made possible through the fact that the prisoners carry out a retreat designed after guidelines written by Ignatius of Loyola in his Spiritual Exercises. The purpose of this examination is to study how ordinary institutional life in comparison to monastic life defines and creates different attitudes and roles amongst the inmates. A secondary aim is to describe the consequences of the retreat on individual basis.

The right to freedom of conscience is protected by international conventions and declarations of human rights that have been ratified by Sweden. Nationally, the issue of health professionals? right to freedom of conscience in the abortion care is not resolved by public inquiry. The aim of this thesis has been to discuss whether remainders of colonial influences exist within the UN's definition of torture or not. The discussion has been presented from a postcolonial point of view, in dialogue with contemporary power critical theorists. In order to raise awareness of a potential colonial influence, the following questions were intended to be answered:?                                        Are there any reasons, if so ? which ones, to regard the UN's definition of torture as a colonial project? And;?                                        To what extent is the term ?inhumane? limiting for the prohibition against torture from a postcolonial perspective?One of the most central arguments of the chosen theories is that the term ?inhumane? evokes prejudices that a racializing apparatus within the social norms of the UN automatically produces. These prejudices are, according to the theorists, influenced by images of people in non-western and non-secular (especially muslim) societies as more prone to exercise ?violence? and ?cruelty? towards their own citizens as well as towards the population of the world in general.

Live exports of animals began during the late 19th century and are nowadays a valuable alternative to the slaughter industry in Australia. About four million sheep and half a million to one million cattle are exported annually from Australia to the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Most of these animals are exported for slaughter, but some cattle are exported with the purpose of breeding. One factor that has been the driving force for the live export industry is that countries through tariffs and other barriers have favored the import of live animals rather than the import of meat.The export means that animals with a great cognitive ability are exposed to a long chain of production from the farm to the market and there are many factors that can affect the welfare of the animals in a negative way. Some of the most serious are high temperatures and a high stocking density, although seasickness, noises and handling can also have a negative impact on the welfare of animals.
