Smärta hos djur :
We have made a litterature study about pain in animals. In this studie we have brought up
areas like sign of pains in animals, pain relief and the care perspective.
Pain is perceived when body tissue is damaged or nearly damaged by stimuli. Nociceptors,
which are receptors placed at nerve endings, responds to a provocation of pain and
transmit an impulse along the nerve to the brain via the spinal cord. Pain is urgent or
chronic, and can be divided into nociceptive pain (somatic pain and visceral pain) and
neuropathic pain. Different pain mechanisms can arise, such as referred pain, which is
when signals of pain are referred to other parts of the body.

The Swedish group contribution rules do not include a right to deduction for cross-border group contributions unless the receiving company is taxable in Sweden. There has been much discussion regarding whether the rules are compatible with EC law. On 11 March 2009 the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court ruled ten cases concerning the right to deduction for cross-border group contributions. In three of these judgments deduction for a group contribution from a Swedish parent company to a foreign subsidiary within the EEA was allowed, despite that the subsidiary was not taxable in Sweden. The main purpose of this master thesis is to analyse whether the interpretation of the Supreme Administrative Court concerning the right to deduction for cross-border group contributions is compatible with EC law.

Förbättring av mjukvarubibliotek för parallellberäkningar med programmeringsmodellen Chunks and Tasks
Chunks and Tasks is a programming model based on the C ++ programming language. This programming model is used for electronic structure calculations, among other things. The purpose of this project is to improve the CHT-MPI software library for Chunks and tasks, so that calculations of matrix-matrix multiplications are performed more efficiently than they do with the existing software library. The software library is based on the work stealing method, which is a method the software library for Chunks and Tasks uses for the distribution of the calculation work. The considered way to improve the software library is by modifying the work stealing method in a way that makes the distribution of calculation work happen in a more efficient way , which will lead to calculations performed faster than before. Two different modifications of the work stealing method were tested and it led to two new methods, Method 1 and Method 2, which distributed the calculation work differently. Method 1 did not give results that were compatible with the theory, since the calculation time with this method was much longer than the previous method.
