This is a report that goes through the design process of designing and illustrating a virtual clothing shop with the theme ?Stockholm Streetstyle? for the website ?Stardoll.com?. The purpose of the report is to examine how you can manage to get as close to designing a certain style or theme as possible, and also how the process of designing a clothing line can work, The illustrations were made in Adobe Illustrator and the final result of the project was an illustrated fashion collection with 21 parts, in the total of 6 outfits, and also a background for the shop. .

Shorter hospital stays increases the need for well functioning post hospital aftercare. Persons close to the patient are often involved in the aftercare and need information about self-care. This need is frequently not satisfied. The aim of this study was to investigate if the next-of-kin of patients cared for at the thoracic clinic at Uppsala University hospital, have received information about self-care and how they perceive the information they have been given. METHOD: To investigate this, questionnaires were sent out by mail.

Bakgrund och problem: Självbestämmanderätt är en grundprincip i socialtjänstlagen och ska genomsyra allt socialt arbete. Socialtjänstlagen gör ingen skillnad på friska eller sjuka människor, vilket kan skapa dilemman för biståndshandläggare vid behovsbedömning.Syfte och frågeställningar: Studiens syfte är att uppnå en förståelse kring hur bistånds-handläggare arbetar med självbestämmanderätt och inflytande vid behovsbedömning.Studiens frågeställningar är följande:Hur ser biståndshandläggare på äldres självbestämmanderätt när det finns en bristande insikt i de egna behoven?Hur hanterar biståndshandläggare anhörigas inflytande?Metod: Studien är influerad av en kvalitativ och kvantitativ metodblandning och består av en vinjett besvarad av 24 biståndshandläggare, samtliga arbetande utifrån socialtjänstlagen inriktat mot äldreomsorg. Det insamlade empirimaterialet från biståndshandläggarna har bearbetats genom en tematisk analys.Resultat och slutsatser: Resultatet visar att biståndshandläggare menar att den äldre har självbestämmanderätt trots bristande insikt i sina egna behov. Biståndshandläggarnas utsagor visar att den moraliska aspekten att göra gott för den äldre väger tyngre än dennes självbestämmanderätt.

Palliativ vård benämns ofta som vård vid livets slutskede och förekommer i hemmet, på hospice, palliativa enheter eller sjukhus. År 2003 avled ca 35 000 personer av 80 000 avlidna på sjukhus i Sverige. Palliativ vård är en komplex omvårdnadssituation då sjuksköterskor behöver bemöta såväl patientens som de närståendes behov. Närstående har behov av ett individuellt anpassat stöd och önskar mer information och delaktighet i vården. Kommunikationen kan för sjuksköterskorna upplevas som svårt och stressande.

Aim: To describe nurses' experiences providing end of life care to patients. Method Descriptive literature study, 15 articles were included. The search was made in PubMed, CINAHL and by manual search. The articles were reviewed, analyzed and summarized. Results: For newly graduated nurses? experience in end of life care proved to be something new, developing, difficult to manage and frightening, but expected in the profession.

A vulnerable group in society is people with ASD (autism spectrum disorders) or autism. This group seems to increase, mainly due to genetic factors but also environmental problems. Medical research has accelerated in the U.S. and Europe. The biggest problem for people with disabilities is the inability to communicate, both verbally and socially.

In this essay I have studied how the film industry in the USA has worked with history in movies ever since the birth of film. I have also studied if Swedish teenagers are influenced by the contemporary reflections often showed in these movies. Furthermore I discussed how to work with contemporary reflections on film in a classroom.In these studies I used a group of teenager in the eight-grade. I stated of by asking the teenagers a verity of questions about movies and their interests in movies. Afterwards I showed them four different scenes from two different movies which all included reflections to today?s society.

The society of today is dependent of secure transports and deliveries of electrical power. Interruptions in different activities because of fallen trees cost a great deal of money in form of reparations and claimed damages for transport companies and electrical suppliers. Fallen trees along some railway sections are a severe problem. For instance, to repair the damages of the storm of week 5 year 2002, costed 2 800 000 SEK for the line region of Hässleholm. This essay describes the philosophy of science that Thomas Kuhn puts forth in his work The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. The question is, does his description of the scientific paradigm work as well today as in the examples he gave in the book?The conclusion is that there are certain factors that make for a number of differences between science today and, for example in the seventeenth century. There is also a growing theory or vision of a post normal science laid developed by among others Jerome Ravetz. This theory or vision is an idea of a science close to peer-communities and fast as well as critical decisions involving opposite values..

Bakgrund: En psykossjukdom är en sjukdom som inte bara drabbar personen själv utan hela dennes familj. Hela familjens livsvärld påverkas och familjelivet ansträngs hårt. Den psykossjuka familjemedlemmen erfar världen på ett annorlunda sätt. Vanliga symtom vid en psykos är bland annat hallucinationer och vanföreställningar. En bra vårdrelation mellan vårdgivare, den sjuka psykossjuka familjemedlemmen och anhöriga är en förutsättning för återhämtning.Syfte: Få ökad kunskap om och förståelse för anhörigas upplevelse av att leva med en familjemedlem med psykossjukdom.Metod: Metoden som valdes för studien var en systematisk litteraturstudie i vilken elva vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Tre kategorier framträdde ur data.

Anhörigas närvaro vid avancerad hjärtlungräddning (A-HLR) har på senare år varit ett internationellt diskuterat ämne. Flera undersökningar har gjorts som undersökt anhörigas syn på sin egen närvaro vid denna akuta vårdsituation. Dessa studier har visat att anhöriga i stor utsträckning önskar få möjlighet att närvara vid en A-HLR situation. Av denna anledning var det av intresse att studera akutsjuksköterskors syn på detta. Syftet med studien var att undersöka och jämföra attityder och erfarenheter av anhörigas närvaro vid A-HLR hos sjuksköterskor inom ambulanssjukvården, akutmottagningen och hjärtintensivvårdsavdelning.

AbstractIn this survey the authors studied how having a child with Aspergers syndrome affects theparents. The purpose of this survey was getting a glimpse of the parent?s experiences ofsupport from governmental instances as well as from their own network. This survey has beenexecuted from a qualitative point of view. The authors have completed interviews with sixparents of children with Aspergers syndrome.

In this essay I examine how a municipal- and an independent upper secondary school compare to the ideal types the Company and the Political organization and how that affects the school practise as it?s described in policy documents. The conclusions are that the municipal school on a number of variables correlate to the ideal type the Political organization. At the same time the school reforms of the 1990s are considered as an intention to ?companylize? the municipal school and a number of tendencies how that have affected the municipal school are shown.

I Sverige insjuknar varje år ca 600 ungdomar i åldrarna 0-14 år i diabetes typ 1. Antalet ungdomar som insjuknar i diabetes typ 1 ökar kontinuerligt. Föräldrar, anhöriga och barn måste lära sig leva med sjukdomen och framförallt försöka anpassa vardagens liv utifrån de nya villkor som sjukdomen medför. För att möjliggöra denna anpassning bidrar sjukvården med viktig kunskap och vård under hela sjukdomstiden men kanske speciellt under debuten av sjukdomen. Denna studies syfte var att beskriva sjuksköterskans uppfattningar av vård av barn på sjukhus i samband med barnets diabetesdebut.

During the last years, enviromental issues has been higly topical and everyone is involved in the end. To raise children into citizents who cares abuot the enviroment, the education has to start in the early years of school. The purpose of the examination is to investigate how the eniviromental education looks in a village called Dharamsala in northern India.Intervjues has ben done with three teachers working in different schools and one teacherstudent. I´ve also intervjued one tibetan munk whoes ben working as teacher and director. I´ve also studied a societyorgan that have a close realationship with most schools in the area.
