The aim of this qualitative study is to gain a deeper understanding of how young people whoare unemployed or have experienced unemployment, experience the situation and how theyapprehend themselves in relation to unemployment. I performed semi-structured interviewswith five young women and men. Three theoretical perspectives have been used for myanalysis, Marie Jahoda?s deprivation theory, Mikael Nordenmark´s PEN-model and HansBerglund?s action theory.The results show that the majority of the respondents perceive the situation as unemployed asdifficult and stressful. Four out of five have more or less felt depressed or sad.

Denna uppsats behandlar Pingstkyrkans uppkomst och framväxt. Syftet med vår uppsats var att undersöka hur Pingstkyrkan förändrats över tiden, hur sekulariseringen har påverkat denna karismatiska rörelse. För att få svar på våra frågeställningar har vi använt oss av både ett litteraturstudium och en kvalitativ metod. Frågorna om uppkomst och framväxt är sålunda besvarade genom litteraturstudium, och frågor om människors anslutning och tillhörighet till Pingstkyrkan är besvarade genom djupintervjuer av äldre och yngre medlemmar.Resultatet visade att Pingstkyrkan i Sverige har sina rötter i USA med en stark betoning på andedop och tungotal, och att den i sig själv har förändrats genom en vilja till ekumenik, att den inte längre behöver ha en särskiljande profil. Den empiriska undersökningen visade att den främsta skillnaden mellan äldre och yngre vara uppfattningen om andedopet.

Syftet med studien har varit att beskriva och ge ökad förståelse för hur elever med hörselnedsättning deltar i dialog och samspel. Närmare bestämt har studien fokuserat elever som finns i hörselklassmiljö och har cohleaimplantat (CI) som sitt personliga hjälpmedel. I skolans styrdokument förespråkas elevaktiva arbetssätt och dialogen betonas särskilt. För att kunna vara delaktig i sin egen kunskapsutveckling, krävs deltagande på lika villkor samt tillgång till ett gemensamt språk. I dag får 90% av alla döva barn i Sverige ett CI inopererat.

With climate change, the temperature and relative humidity in Sweden are increasing. The majority of historical environments lack protection against this increase, which also increases the risk of mold infestation in these environments. One of these environments is N??s Slott, in which several rooms have recurring mold growth on objects and furniture. By examining one of the rooms in the castle that is in the risk zone or has mold growth, factors behind the mold growth can be investigated in order to create a basis for future actions against mold.

The expansion of the Swedish hydro power has contributed positively to the reduction of the environmental impacts from the fossil fueled power production. In the same time the extensive expansion has been proved to cause negative ecological and local environment impacts of a stream. This, in turn, has been affecting the biodiversity and fish stock negatively, which has been reduced. One of the underlying problems is the lack of possibility for the fish to pass the plants, but it is also directly correlated to the mortality rate of the fish passing through the turbine, which this study is investigating.The mortality rate has been computed for three different locations in Sweden, Untra, Tännfallet and a third one whose location is confidential, and is denoted as Case 1, 2 and 3. The model used to calculate the mortality rate in this investigation is based by existing blade strike models and knowledge and are investigating the death due to mechanical injuries from collision with a runner blade in the turbine.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka de faktorer som har format prästers och pastorers religiositet samt att testa om socialiseringsteorin och deprivationsteorin kan appliceras på studiens empiri. För att få svar på frågeställningarna har jag valt att använda mig av kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer med två pastorer och fyra präster. De sex intervjuerna transkriberades för att sedan lyfta fram gemensamma mönster och teman. Resultatet visar att orsakerna till informanternas religiositet kan vara socialisation, ekonomiska förhållanden, trakasserier, ensamhet, värderingar, känsla av meningsfullhet samt psykisk och/eller fysisk obalans. Slutsatsen av studien är att orsakerna till informanternas religiositet är mångfacetterade men också likartade i vissa sammanhang.

Svenska Aerogel AB has developed the material Quartzene® which is of the typeprecipitated silica and contains calcium - magnesium silicate ((Ca, Mg) SiO3). Thematerial is used for molecular filtration of contaminated air. Qartzene?, which is inpellet form, is porous and has a high internal surface which is a requirement for themolecular filtration. With the use of various impregnations, filtration can affect thedesired outcome.

This master thesis investigates attitudes toward electronic publishing of fiction among the key participants authors and publishers in Sweden with the overall purpose of analysing the nature of these attitudes and what sort of tensions that exist between the two groups. The major areas of concern were formulated as: what sort of attitudes do authors and publishers display toward electronic publishing of fiction?, how do these attitudes affect the way the two groups relate to electronic publishing and to each other? and how do they perceive the future of this practice?. Everett Rogers diffusion of innovations theory was applied to characterise electronic publishing as an innovation cluster, and to investigate innovation attributes in form of relative advantages and disadvantages, compatibility, complexity, trialability and observability. Data was gathered using quantitative questionnaires, but respondents were also given the opportunity to elaborate freely on some of the questions.

Purpose/aim: This study was performed in order to describe how Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is reported in Swedish daily newspapers during a five-year period. MMA is a relative new sport in Sweden and it is important that the description by the Swedish daily newspapers is accurate and balanced. Then this sport will have the same opportunities to grow as already well-established sports in Sweden. Material/Method: The material consists of 159 articles from six different daily newspapers gathered from 2006-12-07 to 2011-12-07. Quantitative content analysis is used to investigate how the newspapers describe MMA. The result from this quantitative analysis are then compiled, analysed and discussed by applying theories of agenda setting, framing and moral panic. Main results: The result shows that the Swedish daily newspapers give a relative neutral and balanced picture in their coverage of MMA but they are affected to a certain degree of moral panic.

Youth unemployement in Sweden is at an all-time high, a fifth of all university and college students live in poverty and the number of young on welfare is increasing. This study attempts to answer the question of how youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on youth unemployment. I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on youth position in the labor market. Because youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power. I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level. .
