For many individuals gambling gives an opportunity for relaxation and social Relations. The positive effects of gambling are for most individual?s considerable more than the negative effects. Even if gambling gives positive effects there is individuals that cannot control there gambling and therefore develop an addiction which disturb there life situation and health. The aim of this study was to describe which personal characteristics distinguish people with a pathological gambling and which psychological, physical and social consequences this pathological gambling causes for the individual.

My essay explores how people talk about a woman´s supernatural ability in relation to normality and abnormality. In order to find this out I´ve made interviews with people inclose Relations to Hildur Lawergren. Hildur lived all her life in Fole on Gotland where she was often interviewed in local papers and on the radio about her predictions on the coming weather. She used melted candles to make her predictions. The candles were melted down on Christmas eve.

How do probation inspectors describe their female clients and female offenders? Are there any discrepancies in treatment between male and female clients? In what way is the social interaction between female clients and inspectors constructed and described?  These are the issues we have explored in this study. Qualitative semi-structured interviews with a total of nine probation inspectors; six women and three men, were used in order to examine the probation inspectors? constructions of clients and the construction of interaction between them. By applying Foucault?s theory of power Relations, Hirdman?s gender theory and Olsson?s theory of preconceptions when analyzing the results five themes were identified; descriptions of the work of the female client, descriptions of the interaction with the female client, descriptions of the female offender, descriptions of backgrounds why women commit crimes and descriptions of society's view on the female offender.

The society today is full of new changes within the companies and their middle chiefs. Middle chief?s visions have changed during recent years. The female chiefs have grown in numbers, and because of that people have started to focus on whether there are any similarities or differences between the female and male leadership behaviors. The essay is about similarities and differences between female and male middle chief?s idea about effective leadership behavior.Our analysis is based on a qualitative study, where we have made four interviews with four chiefs in industrial companies.

Studiens syfte var att lyfta fram och försöka förklara vad som bidrar till att våra kvinnligaintervjupersoner levt i och lämnat ett liv som dominerats av narkotikaanvändning och vilkafaktorer, positiva som negativa, som påverkade deras val. Resultat och analys byggde på tresemistrukturerade intervjuer med två kvinnor från olika bakgrund som kontaktades via olikabrukarorganisationer. Intervjuerna transkriberades i sin helhet och presenterades i studien iform av narrativ. Studiens teoretiska perspektiv var narrativ analys och symboliskinteraktionism. Vi anlade också ett genusperspektiv på berättelserna för att försöka förståintervjupersonernas berättelser även ur ett strukturellt perspektiv och för att studera hurintervjupersonerna internaliserade normativa könsroller.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka sjuksköterskors upplevelser av att ge stöd till anhöriga till patienter inom palliativ hemsjukvård.Designen var deskriptiv med en kvalitativ ansats. Informanterna var strategiskt utvalda och bestod av fem sjuksköterskor som arbetade i ett palliativt hemsjukvårdsteam i Upplands län. Bandinspelade personliga intervjuer analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Sjuksköterskorna upplevde att deras arbete kändes meningsfullt och utvecklande. Att arbeta i team var en mycket positiv aspekt. De svårigheter som framkom handlade om att anpassa sig efter olika situationer.

Today almost every artist has a music video. With today?s technology it has become a lot easier for smaller companies or amateur filmers to produce and distribute their work. But how important is an artist?s music video and where do people find their music these days? Other questions we wanted to answer were if there is a typical way a music video looks like based on its genre.

Taiwan has over the past thirty years experienced a substantial political transformation. Being ruled by Chinese nationalists since World War II, Taiwan started its democratic transition in the late eighties. The new democratic system did not only provide people with freedom to vote, it also marked the beginning of a search for a new national identity. Based on the international theory of constructivism, this paper defines and studies the Taiwanese people?s progression away from a dominant Chinese national identity towards a uniquely defined Taiwanese identity.

This paper thoroughly investigates needs and requirements for overhead distribution feeder inspection and develops models to investigate possible Relations between short term inspections remarks and outages. The study was conducted in collaboration with Fortum Distribution AB that supplied extensive information about their overhead power feeders concerning both inspection and power outages. The investigated models where lognormal linear model, Poisson generalized linear model and negative binomial generalized linear model. All models were implemented utilizing offset terms to compensate for differences in feeder length and amount of overhead versus underground feeders. The Poisson generalized linear model was rejected at an early stage due to overdispersion and neither of the remaining models fit the data perfectly.

Denna studie syftar till att, utifrån ett personal- och brukarperspektiv, undersöka vilka yttre och inre maktaspekter som kommer till uttryck och påverkar CM-teamets arbete samt hur dessa maktaspekter tar sig i uttryck i Relations- och motivationsarbetet. CM-teamet är en verksamhet som arbetar för att samordna insatser från kommun och landsting för de individer som har ett vårdbehov för sitt missbruk och sin psykiska problematik och som faller mellan stolarna. Denna studie är baserad på en kvalitativ metod där materialet analyserades med hjälp av meningskoncentrering. Vi har gjort intervjuer med såväl personal som brukare på CM-teamet för att belysa två perspektiv av verksamhetens arbete. Resultatet visar på att de yttre maktaspekterna dels påverkar och begränsar CM-teamets arbete men även påverkar de inre maktaspekterna vilket tar sig uttryck i paternalism från personalens sida.

Generally prosody is described as the rhythmic, dynamic and melodic features of language. Prosody is further often described as suprasegmental, since its properties go beyond vowels and consonants, which are segmental characteristics of language. A Relationship between prosody and music has been noticed and described for several decades. At present, there are several studies proving Relationship between prosodic and musical abilities. The aim of the present study was to construct a test for prosodic non-linguistic perception and production regarding intonation and rhythm. The test was tried out on 16 children with typical language development aged 4;6-7;6 years. Before testing of ITAP each participant were asked about musical experience.

This study aims to examine how the students ethnic background affects them in their social Relationships at school. The main research questions in this study have been: How does the ethnic background of students affect there social Relationships with their friends at school?How does the identity creates and develop in the context of social Relationships? What significance does the language that is spoken hold in the social Relationships of the childrenThe main research questions have been investigated based on the students perspective, where the two main methods were individual interviews and observation on the schoolyard during recess. The interviews and observations where carried out at eight informants with three different ethnic backgrounds. The three ethnic backgrounds were Swedish, Somali, and Syrian.           The results of the study showed in the interviews that no one of the informants differentiated themselves from their friends who came from different ethnic backgrounds from which they did, they did not categorize themselves based upon their ethnicity.

Mobile TV ? is the introduction on the Swedish market about content and customer Relationship? This study explores and defines key factors of decisive importance for the introduction of mobile TV in Sweden, using the TAIDA model. In order to summarize and analyze the factors, four interviews with key actors have been carried out. The answers have been compared to generate the two different criteria that are used for presenting four different scenarios. The purpose of the study is to constitute data in the decision making process.

Purpose:To concretize the various factors on students' theses that are perceived valuable and can contribute to corporate profitability. In our investigation, we want to strengthen the understanding of a "win-win-situation" of cooperation between students and businesses.Methodology:In this study, we have chosen a qualitative approach in which five personal interviews with various organizations that are active in a knowledge intensive industry. A semi-structured questionnaire was used in our interviews.Theory:Our theoretical framework has two broad areas. Introductory chapter is based on theories of research development in Sweden with theories that emphasize the value of collaboration and knowledge. The second chapter deals with a theoretical outlook on value and how this can be applied in marketing.Conclusion:The study shows a diversity of values within three broad categories.
